Alright, so I'm just gonna be short sweet and to the point. I am getting a bit tired of my roommate. He is a slob, smells like smoke, is not terribly clean. And he doesn't think about things before he does what he wants, as in, he won't disengage his alarm clocks before he leaves to say with someone else for the night, so I get waken up by it......

Anyway, what is a guy to do. It's kind of intimidating confronting him because he lives with me, but HOT DAMN...... I am beginning to get FED THE F Up!!!!

Love You Guys~~

Put a rattlesnake under his blankets. That will force him to focus.

He sounds like the best rock n roll roommate one can wish. Isn't he tired of you yet?

^ oh snap!

I had (still have) a similar problem with one of mine, so we are making him move out by December... but if you are in a dorm you can switch roomate for next semester...every school lets you do that. Just ask your RA about it.

I would request to get another room. I never went to college, so I never had to stay in a dorm but if I did I wouldn't want a room mate.

Why is this guy your roommate? Is this at WKU?

The first thing you need to do is talk to your roomie about the issues you are having to see if you can work them out without getting anyone else involved. If not, then go to your RA. They will probably mediate so that you can at least get through the semester then try to find a new roommate.

Thats what id say too, try to let him know first, and see if you can work it out. Other than that, sometimes you just gotta remove yourself from a bad situation. Good Luck man.

I have to say, being kinda untidy and leaving on his alarm clock doesn't sound that bad. Probably best to just tell him.

You all, thanks for the advice. Things seem to have kind of eased up..... It's a good thing. But I will be rooming with a friend I've made this year (for next year).

Living in those close quarters with anyone is hard. You'll probably find that even living with a friend in a dorm room is hard. This guy doesn't sound so bad. He could be constantly having sex while you're in the room, stealing/breaking /using your stuff without asking, having obnoxious friends/girlfriend always hanging out, getting wasted and puking in your stuff, getting high 24/7, playing loud music all night long so you can't study or sleep, adopting a pet.....The possibilities are endless.
Part of the whole college experience is learning to get along with people. Assertivenss, cooperation, tolerance...these are all skills to practice now in this setting and use later in your professional and personal life.
Besides, from his perspective, you might be annoying too.
