There are a few of you, aren't there??
GET UP AND DANCE!!! :blob2::blob2::blob2:
LOL sorry...maybe I'm spoiled after 2 standing room only shows last week...maybe I'm just getting antsy because tonight is my last show and it's my hometown one so I'd love to close on a fantastic note... Maybe I'm just bitter because nobody in Hamilton last night stood AT ALL, not even for GYOW... Well, actually, some people did down on the opposite side of the stage from me. Everyone on my side...sat in their seats the whole night, did not cheer and gave me dirty looks for cheering, and clapped like they were at a golf tournament. Lindsey was on my side for the beginning of the GYOW solo, and although no-one had stood the whole time, I guess he figured some people would've gotten up for that...had his eyes closed, bent down a bit...then opened his eyes and looked around confused: no-one was even standing, let alone rushing the stage! Even Brett commented on it during the band intros, he went, "It's reeeeeeaaaaaallllllll silent out there...."
So yes...the show was *fantastic*, the crowd...was ridiculous. I know not everyone wants to stand the whole night, to new songs, slow songs, etcetera. But honestly...from World Turning, or at least I'm So Afraid, onwards? And for Tusk, and I Know I'm Not Wrong...the rockers everybody knows...get up and dance!!! Cheer, applaud...scream for Johnny Stew like that guy in Cleveland...the band *wants you to*. They like to know that people are having a good time, they want to see that people are excited and want to be there. Lindsey plays off the crowd and enjoys audience interaction more than any other artist I've ever seen...so do something!
...Ahem. That felt good to say. ;) I was so close to screaming it out at the crowd last night...God knows I would've been heard, between songs you could hear a pin drop! So if you hear some chick yell "STAND UP!" tonight...yup, hi, that's me. :) /end rant.

Wow! What a bummer. A total let down, I'm sure, from the previous shows for the band. In Indianapolis everyone was standing from the moment the lights went down! At least, the first 3 rows were!! I hope tonight's crowd is more responsive!! Have fun!

You can count on me! I'll be dancin' in the isle!!! :blob1: I got an end isle seat on the far left side just for that purpose! So if you see some crazy bitch dancing all alone, with her two humiliated children sitting beside her, you'll know it's me :wavey:

Bree, I'm so sorry you had to deal with a sh*tty crowd. There's nothing worse than being surrounded by a bunch of dullards at a concert. I hope your hometown crowd is rowdy and fun tonight!! Have a wonderful time!! :D

LOL!!! Wicked!!! I truly and honestly don't know where my ticket is, other than 5th row...I can't recall the seating layout at all. I THINK I'm closer to center but I really don't remember. If I see you and can get over to you, I'll come dance with ya so we're not alone!! ;) If you see some OTHER crazy chick dancing all by her lonesome, you'll know it's me! LOL! :wavey:

Thank you!!! I hope so too, LOL! I swear, that was the deadest audience I have ever, ever seen. However, I think they had a lot of "season ticket holders", too...so I think that might have accounted for some of it.
Let's go Toronto--we want ROWDINESS! ;)

What's insane is that I was *in* 3rd row and there was a TON of room for people by the stage as the first row was only half the length of 2 and 3...gah! So not fair, LOL! I wanted to go to Indy but timing didn't allow me to...glad it was a rockin' show though, those are so much more fun! :)

Oh ****, I know, right? Hamilton Place is always embarrassingly conservative, no matter who's playing. Not a lot of people even got up off their asses for Cyndi Lauper a few years ago. She was literally pulling people out of their chairs.
Were you on the left side? I was on the right (row 4 right on the aisle), but I saw people standing up over there. Poor Lindsey. And Brett.
But for the record, I was making a lot of noise too (especially for his non-Mac songs - I felt like too many people just went to hear him do Mac stuff. I yelled out for Holiday Road, and I was glad when someone else said Countdown and Play in the Rain. Just so he knows we're there. ;)) So no dirty looks from me!

Are you serious...they didn't even stand for Cyndi Lauper!?! I figured maybe it was just the...lesser LB fans, lol, but I guess you're right, it's universal! Ugh!
Ummmm...I have a feeling I was right in front of you, LOL. I was in Row CC, on the right...red shirt, black skirt, brown hair...I was right on the aisle, there was an empty seat beside me. I did hear *some* people making noise on our side but yah, only saw the people on the opposite side standing! I wanted to make more noise than I did...I just didn't feel comfortable with the people around me! I did still make some noise though, and like you said, especially for the non-Mac songs!
Are you going to Toronto tonight? You make noise and actually *know what Play in the Rain and Countdown are* unlike half that crowd (you're right, I think they just wanted to hear the Mac stuff). I want you there tonight, I need backup. LOL!

Yeah, I feel this way. Whether it's Mac or not, if it's obscure, I like to show enthusiasm and let him see that he has fans who know every single word. He doesn't need me to sing along with GYOW, but when it comes to the likes of Red Rover or Don't Look Down, I want him to know it's known, it's loved and appreciated.

omg, that was you? For some reason, I was going to ask if you were a Ledgie! I had no idea. You were sitting next to the guy with grey hair, right? Did he ask you if the music they were playing before the show was Lindsey? lol.
Yeah, it took awhile for people to warm up for Cyndi. The same was true near the end of last night's show. When people got up for SHN and started moving toward the stage, I thought why couldn't you have shown this enthusiasm earlier?! But I'm not going tonight, sorry. :distress: I had the offer to go but I couldn't get things together in time.

When he looked over, I hoped he noticed a few of us singing the more obscure songs. I tried to make a point of it. I got the impression he was very appreciative of us, though, whether we stood or not.

I thought that he might have been looking at me during Treason so I made sure to sing all the words, more so than I usually do. It is really important that he knows that he still has the following (his cult is one of his favorite things to write about). If he didn't have that, he just might stop writing, and we can't let that happen.

LOL yes, that was me! That is too funny...I was looking around beforehand trying to figure out who was a Ledgie and who wasn't, and was about to begin asking people but then...didn't for some reason. :) YES he did ask me that...he also began telling me about how influential "Rumours" was when it came out..."in 1978." I guess I looked at him funny because then he went "I mean, '76." LOL!
I know...I was thinking the same thing about when they finally started moving forward. And even then, not from our side...well, except for me and some guy. Soooooo frustrating!
Shame you're not going tonight...I will definitely report back soon to say if this crowd was better!

I'm pretty sure I was a Come Girl. LOL...didn't expect that one! But yes, I noticed he seemed to be looking at me a few times so I just made sure to sing, sing, sing every single time...you're absolutely right about him needing to know he has the following. We want him to keep writing...and we want him to come back around on a solo tour again someday!!!
(As an aside, am I the only one who prefers this to a Fleetwood Mac tour?)

No way!! I would rather he do a full year tour for this than a Fleetwood Mac tour. Besides, who likes that band anyway?
I had no idea about the set-list before-hand, so when he played Come I a) nearly died/combusted from excitement and b) jumped, head-banged, and generally rocked. That was one of the highlights of the year!

I'd rather have a solo tour than Mac stuff. If he could get Mick and John up there without getting Stevie involved then I'd be in heaven.

We should wear nametags next time. We were almost sitting together (you were beside my mom at first) before you moved up. Really wish I'd asked now! And when I heard that guy say that I was like, WHAT? lol. It was polka music!
I'm pretty sure I was a Come Girl. LOL...didn't expect that one!
I didn't think there was one! lol Clearly it wasn't me, but if it was you, then congrats. ;) Hope tonight's crowd isn't as lame.
Where were you sitting?.
Maybe I should have said this earlier, I only got to go to the Cleveland show, and there weren't seats there. I would have loved to make it to others, but it just wouldn't work (Cleveland barely worked as it is).

Cleveland show? I was at that show. Were you up front? I was in the glasses next to Bree, also in glasses on the ISA solo side. He did the solo right in front of us. Hehe.
Bree, I am with you. I don't want an FM show. I want more Lindsey-Only touring.

Oh, you were close? We were in the frontish of the line to get in to the venue, but we stopped to buy a shirt before we got in line to go in. The floor was half-full by the time we got there and so were twards the back of the crowd. I think that I might have seen the back of your heads. I was in the UtS tour shirt, but carrying my GoS shirt, with glasses and long hair (well, for a guy).

I know that she got the b&w pic from here (http://www.fleetwoodmac-uk.com/stillgoinginsane/). The Lindsey solo page on the Fleetwoodmac-uk site has some cool pictures. That one was my iPod Touch background for a while (before I changed it to the Face of Boe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Face_of_Boe)).
I don't immediately recognize the others.

Betsy, I got them from: Guitar World Acoustic Magazine. (http://www.fleetwoodmac-uk.com/articles/2006/LB_2006-10_016.html) It came out in November 2006. :)
GOS, I was with the big guy, DavidMn, George (also wearing glasses. Hee!) and the two girls in the very front of the Pass the Line line. Were you in that line?
