Sad to see that BATB is not on the DVD...at least we get the CD but I'd love to SEE it. If we can see it, we can hear it.
Landslide (Orchestra Version) - is that what was on the PBS dvd?
What's with only putting 10 songs on the CD... Could have fit more.
I looked on amazon and couldn't find this info - where'd you find it?
Thanks!

Again, Gold Dust Woman misses a CD. It wasn;t played on the Tusk tour for the live album, it was a freaking highlight of The Dance, LIB and Soundstage and didnt make the CD of any of them. That one ommision seriously pisses me off. I want Gold Dust Woman live to be on an audio CD.

Well there is the one on the Sheryl Crow and Friends cd.
The dance version is on most of the dance single CDs ala silver springs. its easy to find.
I whish we could SEE Beauty and the Beast also. i bet its an issue with the rights to the film clips. but soo glad it made it on the CD. at least the CD is stuff that hasnt really been around alot. ie, crash, if annyone falls, howstill my love, Beauty and the beast. ect. and i am actually wanting to SEE dreams in the soundstage preformance as well, cause i am still impressed with this when i watch. which is still frequently!! Anny "new" stuff makes me excited. :blob2:

Where is Beauty and the Beast? If it is not on the new DVD I am going to be so upset!!! That is one of the most breathtaking performances I have ever seen! Why would that not be included?:distress: If it is something to do with the film rights, I wish there was a way they could work around that, like close ups on Stevie, moving around the screen, ext...

That's a pretty rich price for a 10 track cd!
If this is in fact legitimate, since no source for the information is provided... I think it's great that Dreams and makes the DVD....
The orchestral version of Landslide should be good... They shot that AFTER the audience left the studio...
As for Beauty & The Beast - I thought they also filmed two versions of that song, one with the screening of the movie in the back, and one without... I'll have to look for the setlist,I have it somewhere...

Yay!!! Thank you for the heads up on this. I am glad the cover art got released although it is the same pose with different background colors. I agree though, not having B&TB on the DVD is a shame, but glad it is on the CD. Likewise for GDW, it is on the DVD, but not on the CD. (sigh). Why do they do these things?
Well, I have the ripped audio from the PBS DVD, so I burned that to CD, so at least we have that. I am glad Dreams got on the DVD.
So, let me get this straight, the only difference between this DVD release and the PBS DVD release is the inclusion of Dreams and the bonus Landslide Orchestra version? Seems kind of lame to me. I know... I shouldn't complain, but kind of hoped for more than that. Having B&TB on this DVD would have been so fantastic. I guess I will just have to listen to the CD to get those goosebumps I get every time I hear Stevie sing that song.
Well, I am glad this is finally coming out anyway and will order it because... well because it is Stevie. 'nuf said.
Edit: guess I am going to have to change my banner once I get this in my hot little hands, but not until then. (Don't want to get yanked around again).

You're welcome. Where'd I find it....I'd better not say
I have the PBS version but I'm still excited about getting this.
I also wish the DVD included Beauty And The Beast, in fact it was
the song I looked most forward to. Sometimes I think they leave
off certain songs to include them on other versions, like with this
CD & DVD release. They know us fans will have to buy both.
The other information I didn't have time to write earlier today was
pretty much just the same old biography & discography info. If it's
needed, I'd be glad to post it.
BTW, the price on both was just the suggested retail price. I'm sure
it will be easy to find it at a better price.

Thats the first thing I thought hen i saw the CD listing as well Cause I was afraid it b the same ole songs too, and i love those songs, but..... Beauty and the Beast is sooo great! and it and If annyone falls are not usually "around" and niether are Sara (wich was beautiful with cool ending lyrics. all i ever wanted...theres a heartbeat, the wind became crazy ect...which are my favorite parts) and How still my love was done well musically and vocally. Plus Crash into me and Circle Dance.

BTAB is what I was looking forward to having on DVD the most, too, but I'll settle for just CD, I guess.
Her Red Rocks performance of BTAB is my all-time favorite version, but the way she does it now is also so beautiful to me - bawled like a damn baby when I saw her do it live in Reading, even if I had to contend with some greasy Charlie Manson lookalike blaring "I can't believe she's 60! I'd still hit it!" every 5 seconds in my ear. Le sigh.

Track Listings
1. Stand Back
2. Crash(Dave Matthews Band cover)
3. Sara
4. If Anyone Falls in Love
5. Landslide (orchestra version)
6. How Still My Love
7. Circle Dance
8. Fall From Grace
9. Sorcerer
10. Beauty and the Beast
The only song that i don't think should be on there is Stand Back, because we've heard it live so many times (LIB, the CV iTunes bonus track) but other than that, i am very pleased with the other songs on here, because as far as a CD release of live material goes, the other songs are Stevie "rarities".

"Standard delivery is 7-10 business days. If your order includes products that are Advance Order, your entire order will be processed and shipped to arrive on or about the street date. Advance Order release dates are subject to change without notice."
So... I am hoping the release date does not change again, because, well, that would really

First off I would like to say where I got my original information is very reliable so right now I wouldn't worry because I think both the DVD and CD are still coming out. Now release dates change from time to time, but right now I think the October date is still what they're shooting for.
I have a little more information from the same source.
1. They have listed as "TV Apprerances" 11/27/08 with the venue being Soundstage PBS.
I'm not sure exactly what that means unless it's just a repeat of the Soundstage show for a repeat broadcast on PBS. If it's something new I'd be very surprised.
_________________________________________________________________
I'll list a little more info from my source:
Stevie Nicks, rock's superstar chanteuse, performs her signature songs with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Fleetwood Mac and from her own acclaimed solo career on "LIVE IN CHICAGO", in both CD and DVD formats. Recorded at her October 2007 Soundstage performance, the scintillating concert ranges from "Rhiannon", "Landslide", "Sara", and "Dreams" to her own "Enchanted" and "Stand Back". And inspiration to artist from Sheryl Crow to the Dixie Chicks, Stevie Nicks continues to inspire fan devotion with "LIVE IN CHICAGO".
RETAIL:
A companion CD, The Soundstage Sessions is also available. It features a selection of the songs available on the Live In Chicago DVD.
_________________________________________________________________
If you're buying directly from Warner Bro's are they sending out any promo
item with it? Last time they included a promo card that featured one of Stevies
drawings. The promo item which I believe came the Crystal Visions is worth
more dollar wise than the set it came with. They should include something
special, because most likely you'll be paying full price from their website.
One last thing, I imagine you'll get the DVD from them on or close to the
original release date.

Dear Peter,
Thank you for your email. The Stevie Nicks DVD is available for purchase. The release date was 9/23/08. The CD's release date is 10/28/08 subject to change. You may visit our online store to purchase these items and an order will be created for you. Once the items are shipped you will receive an email notification from our warehouse. Ha! After sending you that email, I really do want to see when they send out the DVD. It will be funny if they don't get mailed before 10/28 after all.
When watching a film with a plotline that wasn't explained, the guys on MST2k used to say: "This movie is none of our business."
WB has shown us many, many times: what Fleetwood Mac and its members do is simply none of our business!

After I got that email I was already set to go and order... Then realized, they don't have a track listing listed for that thing on their site... Don't want to risk the chance of getting exactly what PBS was selling cause I have that... This could be the same only with a different blue cover. It probably isn't, but I'm holding off until someone, or some site other then what's been posted in this thread can confirm the actual track list for the dvd...

So the charges were refunded, for now it seems.. WTH is going on?? "Dear Fan:
We're sorry about any confusion surrounding the release dates of Stevie Nicks "Soundstage Sessions" CD and "Live in Chicago" DVD. At the moment our heads are so far up Metallica's ass that we are wearing them as a hat.
Once we are able to remove the said Metallica ass-hat, we may be able to help you with information about Stevie's upcoming releases. We are sure his fans would appreciate our effort.
And if you are not already aware, you can purchase the newest CD by Stevie's bandmate in Fleetwood Mac, Lyndsey Buckingham's "Gift of Screws". We, at Warner's, know that any fan of Stevie's usually are fans of Lyndsey's, and her newest release "Gift of Screws" is a must-have.

Dear Stevie Nicks Fan,
Thank you for your recent order for Stevie’s forthcoming CD-“The Soundstage Sessions” and/or DVD, “Live in Chicago”. Some new information about the DVD/CD release.
Stevie has some upcoming TV appearances and the
dates of two of them just happen to be on the new release
date of the DVD/CD (01/13/09). So if you follow, maybe
there is some method to the record company's madness.
I don't know if there's anything "new" on the TV appearances,
especially PBS' Soundstage. But the Chris Isaak show is listed
as an interview.......???
Here's the dates.
1. SOUNDSTAGE - PBS 11/27/08
2. SOUNDSTAGE - PBS 01/13/09
3. Chris Isaak Show (interview) BIO 01/13/09

The BIO Channel is expanding it's original programming
slate with the new series "The Chris Isaak Hour", which will
feature performances by mainstream musical artists.

I think the listing for The Chris Isaak show is just a repeat of his 2001 Showtime TV series. The show was an odd comedy with music where he played himself but was surrounded by actors playing mostly fictional characters.
Stevie guest-starred on season1, episode 5. She sang two songs with him, including Solitary Man. She also has one or two short scenes, including one where she answers the phone. The musical numbers were not that great and Stevie's vocals were more background than harmony.

But it's still being released in January - so this is a pre-sale.
Not exactly a deal on buying both. The DVD by itself is 17.99 the cd by itself is 16.99 = 34.98. They are saying get them both for 34.98 - so it's the same price.

I knew she wasn't real all along, from season one, because no one ever saw her but Chris and no one ever even mentioned the subterranean room, except Chris.
What's frustrating to me is that both Stevie and Chris can be so hot. Yet, they have yet to be hot with each other. In fact, I love Ricky Nelson too and they aren't even exceptional together on It's Late. I don't understand it.
Cyndi Lauper came on and did I Drove All Night with Chris and it sizzled. Guests sing on his songs and they all sound great. But he and Stevie . . . ah well. Still, they are funny together. I loved it on that show he had where his band started playing Rhiannon. I laughed so much.

Some possible good news about the Soundstage "Live In Chicago" DVD.
I'd been waiting to hear news about the Blue-ray Disc release of this or
any of the other Soundstage releases. And I've finally found out some of
the Soundstage DVD's will be released on Blue-ray. Not only will that mean
it will be released in true High Definintion (the PBS DVD is a little misleading
to some, I think it said "captured in Hi-Def, and for those that don't know it's
just a standard release which of course just means standard definition). But
since they are recorded in High-Definition it was just a matter of time before
they started to release them on the new format.
So what does that mean for Stevie fans??? Bonus songs not released on the
standard DVD. I do not know the titles of the bonus song(s) yet, or the release
date of Stevie's Blue-ray DVD. But I'll keep my eyes open.
Hopefully one of the bonus songs on the Blue-ray version will be "Beauty And
The Beast" (fingers crossed).
Now I'll have to buy a Blue-ray DVD player!

Amazon.com has just uploaded the official tracklisting for the CD.
Track Listings
1. Stand Back
2. Crash(Dave Matthews Band cover)
3. Sara
4. If Anyone Falls in Love
5. Landslide (orchestra version)
6. How Still My Love
7. Circle Dance
8. Fall From Grace
9. Sorcerer
10. Beauty and the Beast
The only song that i don't think should be on there is Stand Back, because we've heard it live so many times (LIB, the CV iTunes bonus track) but other than that, i am very pleased with the other songs on here, because as far as a CD release of live material goes, the other songs are Stevie "rarities".
I sort of agree with you regarding Stand Back. I can accept another live Stand Back, though, for the fact that it's her show opener. I share your satisfaction about the CD song list -- someone in production got it right. It could have been very redundant --yet another Dreams, another Rhiannon...

Yea, that's true. When Stevie was on Ellen promoting Crystal Visions last year, Ellen asked her if the Mac were getting back together, and Stevie was like "uhh uhh uhh...the answer is not no", so maybe they realized it might be better to wait for the Mac to get back together. Hi RockALittle, my source has been very reliable as I had the original post about the track list and date of release before any of the major retailer's websites posted them. I can't say who my source(s) are. I'm not playing the big shot here, I just would like to keep my sources. I've been very fortunate to meet some of the right people in the music industry. So from time to time I pass on what I can here on this website.

I know Stevie isn't U2, but this Wall Street Journal article about how album releases are being delayed because of the slumping music business may help us understand what's happening with Soundstage.
HEADLINE: Bands Delay Albums, Leave Labels in Lurch
BYLINE: By Ethan Smith
BODY:
As recently as last month, Universal Music Group's Interscope Geffen A&M Records planned to release five major albums by superstar acts during the critical holiday shopping season.
Improbably, "Chinese Democracy" -- the magnum opus that Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose has been fussing over since 1991 -- is now the only one of the five that will definitely make it to store shelves before 2009.
That leaves Interscope grappling with a problem as old as the music industry itself: how to control when pop musicians finish their albums. Three of the big titles have been bumped to 2009; a fourth remains in creative limbo.
The delays are occurring against the backdrop of an accelerating decline in sales for all record labels. Until very recently, the broad economic downturn didn't appear to be having much impact on music sales. But in the past couple of weeks, sales have fallen off a cliff. Album sales last week were down 29% from a year earlier, a significantly steeper decline than the 13% drop for the year to date.
Executives throughout the industry say they were caught off guard. "We've been pretty insulated up to this point," says Tom Corson, general manager at Sony BMG's RCA Music Group. Sony BMG is a joint venture of Sony Corp. and Bertelsmann AG.
At Interscope, the situation is amplified by the big releases that have dropped from the label's November-December slate, including Eminem's "Relapse," a new album from the Black Eyed Peas, and rap star 50 Cent's "Before I Self Destruct."
Currently uncertain is the release date of another album with a white-whale status nearly as mythical as that of "Chinese Democracy": "Detox," the first album in nine years from Dr. Dre. The hip-hop super-producer may yet deliver the album in time for a late-December release, according to people familiar with the matter, but it's not currently on the schedule.
U2's followup to 2004's "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" was pushed to 2009 earlier in the fall, after the band, its manager and Interscope and Universal executives decided the material the group had recorded wasn't strong enough. Universal Music is owned by France's Vivendi SA.
"We want 2009 to be our year," U2 frontman Bono wrote in early September on U2.com.
Interscope Chairman Jimmy Iovine said in a written response to questions that he is more concerned about coaxing high-quality music from his artists than meeting release schedules. "Interscope Geffen A&M has never been a label to rush the creative process of its artists," Mr. Iovine added.
Scratching a potential blockbuster from the Christmas shopping season, when the music industry makes up to 40% of its sales, is always painful for a major label. But it could hurt even more now than in the past. That's because today, in a world of receding music sales, only the biggest hits can still move millions of units, and only a tiny group of superstars deliver such titles.
Joe Nardone Jr., who owns Pennsylvania's eight-store Gallery of Sound chain, cites strong sellers this year from Kid Rock, Metallica and Lil Wayne, whose "Tha Carter III" (released by one of Interscope's sister labels at Universal Music) was the first album to sell more than a million units in a single week since 2005. Mr. Nardone says run-of-the-mill releases seem to be suffering the biggest sales declines, and "the gap in between is just tremendous."
Even Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy" won't help retailers like Mr. Nardone, since Universal is selling the CD only at Best Buy Co. stores. Such sales arrangements have become more common in recent years, and often generate massive sales thanks to the intensive marketing the exclusive titles typically receive. AC/DC's "Black Ice" has sold 1.3 million copies in four weeks at Wal-Mart Stores Inc., according to Nielsen SoundScan. Best Buy, the No. 3 music retailer in the U.S., behind Apple Inc.'s iTunes Store and Wal-Mart, is pushing "Chinese Democracy" aggressively, including by staging large-scale "listening parties" in dozens of cities and erecting within in its 923 domestic locations "stores-within-stores" dedicated to the hard-rock band.
Through the second week of November last year, Interscope Geffen A&M had a bigger market share of new albums -- 6.28% -- than any other individual label in the U.S. This year, it has lost that lead to Warner Music Group Corp.'s Atlantic Records, which has an 8.11% share, compared with Interscope's 6.03%. A strong lineup of major new releases could have helped Interscope regain the top spot.
Universal Music Group still retains the biggest market share of any music company, with almost 35% of new music. The changes in Interscope's lineup may not hurt Universal's overall market share much thanks to several major releases from the group's other labels, including albums by Kanye West, the Killers and Taylor Swift.
But some of the delays may diminish the impact of already launched promotional tie-ins, reducing total sales. "The Way I Am," a coffee-table sized Eminem autobiography, was published last month.
To help set up the Dr. Dre release, Interscope and Dr. Dre formed partnerships with at least two companies to sell unusual products bearing his endorsement. Monster Cable Products Inc. is selling custom-made $350 headphones called Beats by Dr. Dre. And beverage maker Drinks Americas Holdings Ltd. has begun marketing Aftermath Cognac, named for the producer's record label. Aftermath "sparkling vodka" is also in the works, according to Drinks Americas.

I thought Stevie said the postponement was about the election. You know, not to distract from the more important things in life. But in any regards, I think that Stevie's fans will be the most likely people to buy this release of hers, no matter what the state the economy is in.

Michelej, another good post. Makes perfect sense. If we are all watching our money this can't help but hurt sales.
I hope I'm wrong about the updated release date, but......
At least the Chris Isaak interview with Stevie is still scheduled for 1/13/09 on the Bio Channel. Of course that date could change too.

Well I am quite pleased with the CD track list. I was expecting another CD full of the boring staples: Dreams, Rhiannon, GDW, Stand Back, Landslide, etc.
Very glad to see they are giving us songs we don't typically have on CD.
My feelings exactly! Given that this is Stevie's first Live cd, I'm glad someone had the sense not to shove Dreams, Rhiannon and Edge Of Seventeen down our throats again and again. Also very glad no space was wasted with 'The One. Though the CD could have been longer --Enchanted and I Need To Know-- it's actually a nice 10 song set...it's at least somewhat fresh.

Well in an around about way Stevie will get to promote her new CD/DVD
courtesy of "TROJAN VIBRATING TOUCH". If you watched the Chris Isaak

Speaking of the show. I thought it was very good. If Stevie and Chris get to
sing as many songs as he and Trisha did, it could turn out very well. And then
there's the interview. Something to look forward to.
So we might not be able to complain about them only doing "It's Late".

First off I would like to say where I got my original information is very reliable so right now I wouldn't worry because I think both the DVD and CD are still coming out.
RETAIL:
A companion CD, The Soundstage Sessions is also available. It features a selection of the songs available on the Live In Chicago DVD.
_________________________________________________________________
If you're buying directly from Warner Bro's are they sending out any promo
item with it? Last time they included a promo card that featured one of Stevies
drawings. They should include something special, because most likely you'll be paying full price from their website.
Well, I'm quoting myself here, but I think it might answer some of the recent
questions about the CD (yes or no?).
Someone was CLAIRVOYANT weren't they? (not just the DVD/CD tracks, but
right down to the lithograph idea....hmmm.......).

Without all the details. "Live" albums are usually a mixture of both the live concert and "in studio" work. This "sweetning" takes place on most live CD's and DVD's. The concert itself was recorded in October of '07. And a supposed visit to the recording studio in January '08. Again, this is very common place. Some don't like the details because it seems to spoil the live concert vibe. But I don't think people will be disappointed with what's just a few weeks away.
I guess by now, whoever reads this will know why Chris Isaak's information was posted in this thread. It was almost like an infomercial for her new DVD/CD wasn't it?
This thread has almost run it's course........but there is something new on the

Just noticed something different about the U.K. release of the Live In Chicago
DVD, besides the release date being March 23, 2009.
The U.K. version is listed as being 116 minutes,
with the U.S. version listed as 120 minutes.
Maybe they are not counting the bonus track in
the run time on the U.K. version, or maybe it's just
a typo. Hmmm?

Great news everybody! The CD and DVD are being sold at the Warner Brothers Records site. http://store.warnerbrosrecordsstore.com/
I just bought mine.
To SandyMac and others who ordered early (SandyMac's post was from 9/29/08).
If your pre-orders weren't cancelled by you or WB, shouldn't you be getting the
lithograph???
The pre-orders were around so long before the DVD/CD Lithograph offer was
posted that I thought I'd post this and those who left their orders open could
think about canceling their orders with WB unless they offer you the free litho.
If not I wouldn't give them my $$$, but that's just me.
Think how much extra money WB makes when you order direct from them.
No middle man in between them and your money. Then they charge you higher
prices for the items than most any online retailer. Then you pay shipping and
handling, again something many online retailer's offer for free. Oh.........but WB
is offering the "free" lithograph. Doesn't seem quite free does it?
Not saying the lithograph isn't worth the extra money, but you'll have to decide
if it's worth it.

"Everyone" doesn't think that it was a bad thing, and that includes me. I was
making a little joke of it. The only reason I called it an infomercial was because
the other artists' on Chris' show have sang more songs "live". Stevie's songs were
mostly from the upcoming DVD.

I have a question because I am confused. The new Stevie DVD cover in amazon is different from the one being sold in warner's preorder store. Both shows seem to be the same. The one being sold in Warner is longer in songs then the one being sold in amazon?
Also the same about the CD's. I was under the impression that the CD warner is selling is Stevie redoing songs. The one is amazon is live clips from the shound session show am I correct? Someone e-mailed asking me and now has me all confused lol

I'll break it down for you:
The Warner store is selling a deluxe edition which is a CD/DVD bundle, which has different cover art and the pre-order includes two bonus mp3 tracks (Rhiannon and The One)
Amazon is selling the standard edition CD with 10 tracks, and the standard edition DVD with all of the same tracks as the PBS version, plus Dreams and the orchestra version of Landslide.
The CD that both stores are selling has the exact same content, and the same goes for the DVD.

I'm putting this here because i didn't want to start a whole new thread for it. In this radio interview from March 17th, Mick is talking about all of the bands solo projects, and basically says that if Lindsey didn't ask for the 3 years off for his own solo projects, that Under the Skin, Gift of Screws, The Soundstage Sessions, Live in Chicago, and his Blue Again CD all would have never happened. Plus, he thinks Stevie's new DVD is "incredible". You can download the interview here...it's labeled "TORONTO, ONTARIO CANADA radio station 680News"
