Alright, this is completely hypothetical, and a little goofy, but this thought just came to my head. We are always complaining about Stevie's set list and saying she ought to do song x y and z. So, I have a very simple question and debate for you all.....

Would you pay the regular $100 or more to see Stevie Nicks live in concert in 2009 if this, and only this were her set list:

Gold and Braid
Angel
Sisters of the Moon
Storms
I Can't Wait
Everybody Find Out

That's right, I didn't leave anything out. Very simple and to the point. Would you in fact pay regular price to see Stevie play if she only played these six songs?

Personally, I would not.....It's just too short. Since I am a newer fan, I haven't heard her current set 1,000 times, but I could definately see where long timers would have a problem with it.

This should make for a bit of interesting tidbits.

Hope everyone is well,
Ethan

You bet...I have only seen her twice so the setlist doesn't seem old to me - but I would love to see this too. I'll see stevie no matter what the setlist though.

Sorry as much as I love most of those songs.....there would have to be more rare songs for me to go anymore period. Even though I went the last 2 yrs ....I have been disappointed in the set lists.....she has a wealth of material but doesn't use it all...its sad really......She really (or I thought) she was a better artist than this. I will not make excues for what she chooses to do. Yes , it is her right to do what she wants to do.....so I guess as a fan I can from now on chose not to pay those prices for the same show over & over again. So as great as it would be to hear some of those songs.....don't think it'll happen again....but......I just can't justifiy it anymore. (I've seen her 6 times solo) --3 with Fmac....so if it'll be the same setlist from now on....I'll just pass it on by.......sad but true.....I don't think I'll miss much either.....IMO anyway.....:distress::sorry:

I know - I skipped this summer's show in Atlanta. It was hella hot, the venue was very far from my house, and the tickets were too expensive. I've seen her at least 30 times before and I just opted out this time.

I've seen her at least 30 times before and I just opted out this time.Wow 30 times is alot...is that solo only or with Fmac too? Did you see her for the BD tour? If so how lucky are you....I think maybe that set list & probably Enchanted were the best period. Really no offence to Stevie.....I just 'wish' through the years she had like added and subtracted songs from the set list....like alot....she could've done so many, many wonderful songs on all of these tours....unfortunately , (just like Fmac did) they would stick to the same 'boring' formula really....how sad when you could play so many things. I would think as an artist you'd want to mix it up...heck if not for the fans for yourself.....really. Esp during Enchanted....she did great with the set list but she could've played anything off that box set and as fans we'd have eaten it up don't ya think.....She could've played one of the songs from the movies (other than Twisted that is) like Violet & Blue or (my favorite) Battle Of The Dragon...love that song....or of course 'Blue Lamp'.....heck she gave us the BL photo and shirt....why not play that song???? I guess the live shows just aren't as exciting as they once were....for me they lack 'something'.....early in my 'fandom'....it was so awesome...(were talking like '88/'89) it was great....my first solo Stevie was for SA in '94 and I really think she was wonderful.....(I did get to hear ROF/TTM back than...plus The Chain 'live'...she did sing this at PK than....no matter what anyone says...I was there & I remember....)....loved Enchanted....and I did really love the 2 Voices with Don....cause well it was different...(well I like Don too) but Shangri-la lacked something & well there was the Crow factor....ok but I could've lived without her though....last yr was nice....I got close to the stage for Edge but no hand shake....so was bummed from that.....left early some from the concert this yr....so.....the prices are horrible....esp with the economy right now.....I mean they may make tons of money but the rest of us don't really.....I guess my fandom is not what it once was....and well some of Stevie's comments still bother me.....even though she probably doesn't recall saying any of it.....I guess the lack of respect for her fans still is there.....so as much as I love the music.....I don't love the rest of the junk or press or whatever the game is now......somethings missing.....oh well....don't meant to bring anyone down or nothing well all go through fan 'down' time......I guess those long nets of white don't cloud my memory anymore........sad but true....no offence anyone I hope........:sorry: Ps--You didn't miss much from this tour really.....it was just ok to me.....Stevie's voice was good and she looked well.....but the same set list and covers....I guess it just gets to me......:(

HELL YES!
however, most of those songs, i would pay 300$ to hear FM play especially EFO/SOTM

if i were just paying 100$ for 6 songs, it would have to be:

Talk to Me
Doing the Best I Can
Bella Donna
Alice
Love Is Like A River
Love Is

but if we're talking hella obscure
change several of those to

Mirror Mirror
Thousand Days
& Battle of the Dragon :: lick ::

I want 3 different songs from her 5 solo albums every night. And perform everyone of them in a rotating manner so if you go see her multiple nights you will hear several whole albums worth of material.

NO! I'm barely able to bring myself to pay $100 or more to see Stevie do a full setlist with an opening act, much less this six song "wish list" set, for some. Although I like/love all the songs in the shortened setlist, it wouldn't even be worth it to me for the price of gas alone to go. Besides that, I'd be REALLY PISSED if she didn't do Rhiannon and Edge of Seventeen! ;)

I voted no, but thinking deeply, I've seen Stevie just once during the Reunion tour (1997, so If I had the opportunity, I would go and pay. I think I don't like the setlist and I voted NO pressuring Stevie to add more songs.. if she could read this..

My ideal setlist:

Gold Dust Woman
Outside The Rain/Dreams
Garbo
Sara
If Anyone Falls
After The Glitter Fades
Trouble In Shangri-La
Planets Of The Universe
Stand Back
Imperial Hotel
How Still My Love
Talk To Me (A very stripped down version)
Rooms On Fire
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You
Sorceror
Rhiannon
Edge Of 17
Beauty and the Beast

The new songs I threw in (Imperial Hotel, Rooms On Fire, etc...) are the songs I think she is still capable of performing.

I would ax all songs & all singing, & have her do a Q&A with the audience for 120 minutes. No moderator -- no James Lipton.
