Has anyone else heard one of the most beautiful songs off of Say You Will?
Except it is not the track found on the Say You Will, but the Single version?
It is amazing! And yet, so different! I love it!
I will post it if anyone is really interested.

I think the track that's on Say you Will is one of her best songs ever. It's the most "classic" fleetwood mac song on the album. It's got the production of Gypsy and the harmonies of Dreams. There's also many other versions of the song that I really like, but the one that ended up on the album remains my favorite version.
Now Illume on the other hand is NOT classic Fleetwood Mac but I like it just as much. Thrown Down, Illume and Destiny Rules are my 3 favorite songs on SYW, and Murrow is mixed in amongst those 3, to make that my 4 favorites.

What you're probably talking about is the so called 'Wall of Sound' version of Thrown Down. If the first few bars of the song are drums instead of guitar, that's the version you're speaking of. It's a much more lush, more "Fleetwood Macish" version of Thrown Down than what ended up on Say You Will. This version was reportedly produced by Sheryl Crow for Stevie's album Trouble In Shangri La.

Hi
As we are talking about Say You Will I have been bugged about a song for a long while now. The song is "Murrow". Who is Murrow? Any one know? I have a feeling this is an American cultural reference and even though I'm Canadian and know a lot about it, this one seems to have slipped passed me.

Edward R. Murrow. You can read about him here:

The George Clooney movie, "Good Night and Good Luck" is about Murrow as well.

He was a journalist with a lot of integrity who is rolling in his grave because of all the propoganda floating around today under the guise of "news".
