Hopefully, I can make it this time around. This would be a trip "home" for me as well. I had to get the tickets last time and my friend and her sister ended up getting to sit in the front row seats I got.

Obituary is slow, well nowadays when compared to Behemoth - Obituary sounds like the Lawerence Welk Orchestra...
I frighten people, I blast Behemoth/Dimmu Borgir/Deicide and then some Lindsey Buckingham and it blows their mind (What lil' they have anyways)...
Makes one wonder, what would LB look like in corpse paint???

I just today found out Lindsey is coming to the Brady again! Whew! That was a close one since tickets go on sale tomorrow.....Now, should I get the tix online or go to the box office?????????? Oh my! Decisions, decisions!

I am sooooooo excited!!!! Second Row Center at the Ol' Lady on Brady!:]
My husband actually went to the box office to get my tickets - however, they weren't selling them there. So, I quickly went online to get my tix but was unfamiliar with the site and didn't get in until 10:05ish. I got tix 10 rows back and after having front row last time, I was a little disappointed. A couple hours later I thought I would go in and see what tix were still available and lo and behold....I pulled up the 2nd row tickets! Therefore, yep! I got them. So if anybody needs tickets, I have a couple extra. They are good tickets - I just ended up with better ones.

Congrats! Those were our seats last year -- front row center was unsold because of a monitor right in front. Good as first row!!
I didn't do as well this time. I decided to just try online instead of going to Reasor's or Starship. I got in as quickly as I could and ended up with center section Row H, seats 13 & 14.
Still, not bad seats -- there really aren't any bad seats at The Brady.
SRhiannon
07-18-2008, 02:11 PM
Those are good seats. My other ones are Sect. D Row F seats 7 & 8.
So, are we going to have problems with the monitor in our way?

07-18-2008, 02:19 PM
It got in the way taking pics a bit, but it didn't really bother us. The setup may be different this time anyway. The only thing about sitting there was having to look up so much -- and really not being able to stand. That's the thing about The Brady. The crowds seem to stay in their seats most of the time. It's not because of not enjoying the show, it's just that the way it's set up you either have to all sit, or all stand. And I mostly sit because I don't want to obscure anyone's view either. I guess we're just very courteous!

Alright y'all - Show is this Friday. :] We're flying in that afternoon. Who wants to meet up before the show?? Drinks anyone? Pre-show celebration of some kind?
Where and when?? Can some of our Tulsa Ledgies help us? Where are some great places near the venue to hang out?

Lola's at the Bowery (http://www.lolasatthebowery.com/lolas%20web/home.html) would be a great place to meet up. It's only a block away from The Brady.
On that same block is Caz's Chowhouse (http://www.cazschowhouse.com/), The Mexicali (http://www.mexicalibordercafe.com/) (where I heard LB ate dinner last time). A little further away is McNellie's Public House (http://www.mcnellies.com/) -- they have like over 100 beers on tap, cool place.
All of these places will be busy -- downtown workers, Friday happy hours.
I was kinda thinking about going down there early and see if I could catch anything going on...soundcheck or something. :]

Oh, I don't have a preference -- go where you want to go -- I just wanted to make sure you knew that they were all very close-by.
Lola's is laid back, kinda pricey, really good. Caz's is is a "comfort food" place -- probably not the best choice, you'd need a nap afterwards! LOL Mexicali is pretty darn good -- and yummy margaritas!

Unfortunately, no. We waited for quite some time then security came out and told us they were already gone...had a plane to catch. :(
SRhiannon
09-27-2008, 10:40 AM
No way! He had to have known that people were waiting and by the time I left (my sister needed to get back to B'ville) there weren't that many people to where he couldn't have come out and at least waved at the fans. I'm glad we went ahead and left but I feel bad for those that waited and were really counting on autographs and such.:sorry:
I left the back way out of the Brady and went the back streets to I244. I probably followed him out and didn't know it!
