ok, I won't suggest any list, but even it is too early, I find interesting to analyze your list. here is MHO:

Crystal: not my fave, but could replace Beautiful Child from the last tour
Blue Letter: cool
Monday Morning: VEEERY COOL, I miss this song, could be a great opening instead of The Chain
I Don't Wanna Know. not my fave, but cool

Everywhere
Over my Head
Say You Love Me
Songbird (only if sung by chris)
Sugar Daddy
Warm Ways
Oh Daddy
Temporary One.

None of Christine songs would work without her, except for Don't Stop.

Why not Storms, Tango in the night, Walk a thin line ??

sywlindseyfan
07-15-2008, 05:55 PM
yea, definitely think this should be brought back in about 10 to 11 months, haha but my last post untill then is this... you are correct!! Walk a thin line would be A-MAZ-ING!!!

I think we need a serious change in the setlist.
Why not start the show with these two songs?

1. Green Manalishi (this songs rocks, and it could be a tribute to Green).

2. Frozen Love (if this is the last tour don't they owe us a B.N. song?).

The crowd would go crazy after these songs opened the show.

Green Manalishi, would be an amazing song to open with.

Open with a medley: Station Man -> The Green Manalishi -> The Chain

Also, bring back Oh Well, damnit! Gotta do that on the swansong tour.

I like adding Frozen Love, but I'd like it to lead off an encore set. Actually, I'd also love to hear Crying In The Night. That's Stevie's most underrated song ever.

IMO, and they won't do it, but the tour would be way better if they left most of the Mini-Mac at home. I'd keep Brett and the girls, maybe even the percussionist. But instead of Neal and Carlos, bring back Billy and Rick, and add Bekka (to do the Christine songs).

If they are going to do a Chris song I hope it is "Think About Me"

Other than that I would like landslide and big love left out

When I mentioned the Green Manalishi I pictured the stage black as night and the fog machines doing their job, and then Lindsey tears into the song. Plus the song has that Stevie vibe. The same kind of feel that Sisters of the Moon has.

I don't care for medleys of songs, kind of cheapens them IMO. But I agree Crying In The Night would be a great pick. But I was just thinking about the first two songs.

I don't want Billy, Rick or Bekka anywhere in the arena.....brings back terrible memories of when some band was going around calling themselves Fleetwood Mac. :distress:

A Fleetwood Mac tour without the following is no Fleetwood Mac tour at all:

1. Dave Grohl on drums & bongos
2. Bookending performances of Beethoven's Rondino for Winds, WoO 25
3. Intermission lecture on tsunamigenic quakes in the Pacific Northwest

. . .

3. Intermission lecture on tsunamigenic quakes in the Pacific Northwest

I would not limit the interplate events to the Pacific Northwest as I feel the potential for giant tsunamigenic earthquakes in the northern Bay of Bengal is great if not greater than the limited topic.

Of course, if we are going to discuss interplate events, we must include a slight discussion about the movement of La Nicks' corset

On topic - I feel La Nicks could do Sugar Daddy justice.

Think About Me is one of the greatest love songs ever and deserves to be played on a farewell tour.

I think Lindsey can make that song his own, though the optimal choice would be that Chris changed her mind about this one last giant tour :)

Well to be far more realistic I would really like to hear Monday Morning or Blue Letter from Lindsey those are fantastic pop songs.

I wonder what the chances are of them actually changing the setlist up a bit if they do indeed tour? I mean, move The Chain away from the opening for God's sake! I doubt it will happen but it would be great to pay homage to some of the band's pre 1975 albums with some key songs.

In no particular order...nothing earth shattering in this list, but I think it would be a good mix.
Green Manalishi
Oh Well
Hypnotized
Monday Morning
Blue Letter
Rhiannon
Crystal
I'm So Afraid
Dreams
Go Your Own Way
The Chain
I Don't Want to Know
Gold Dust Woman
The Ledge
Sara
What Makes You Think You're The One
Angel
Tusk
Sisters of the Moon
Hold Me (LB could do this sans Chris if worked right)
Big Love (full band, the solo version is getting overdone)
Seven Wonders
Running Through the Garden
Come
Steal Your Heart Away
Everybody Finds Out
Frozen Love
Crying in the Night

Hold Me with just LB on vocals... Great Idea!!
I love[d...stupid computers..] the demo of just him singing it, so I would probably love this even more.
And I agree 1 million!!!! Percent about Big Love...

Seven Wonders and Angel? HELLZ to the YES!!
Angel should NOT have EVER been dropped..EVER!
and 7w...I like that idea too.

And of course some BN songs, since its not like Christine is there anyways to protest or to fit her songs in.

Oh and No Don't Stop...please?
It sucks without Christine.
Just like every other one of her songs.
minus Hold Me, and that other one I can't think of at the moment, that's not World Turning....[That sucks in general Live IMO..]

Alright, so now that we know that FM should be touring next year, I thougt it would be a nice idea to talk about what songs we would like to see them do, while keeping our hopes SOMEWHAT realistic. I'll start off by posting a set list that I think they should do...but keep in mind it changes every day, so tomorrow, half of the songs could be different. So, post set list ideas, in running order.

The Chain
Seven Wonders
Dreams
Eyes of the World
Straight Back
Illume
Never Going Back Again
Rhiannon
Gypsy
Steal Your Heart Away
Running Through The Garden
Big Love (non acoustic, as they did on album)
Landslide
Sisters of the Moon
Miranda
Red Rover
Destiny Rules
Beautiful Child
Gold Dust Woman
Tusk
Silver Springs
Stand Back
Go Your Own Way
World Turning (without the 20 minute drum solo to leave time for)
Freedom
Don't Stop
Goodbye Angel

Alright, so this may be a little rough and whatnot because it is overwhelming trying to chose 25 or so songs from an endless catalog, but I've done my best. Tell me what you think.

Let's have fun with this!

I would love Storms. I'd have to see how Sisters of the Moon would sound these days. I don't know if they could resurrect it. Frozen Love would be cool. That little bit they did on Lindsey's soundstage was such a tease! I would also love for them to do an accoustic Gypsy like they did at the AHI benefit.

The picture was taken the night Stevie shot Lindsey in the head on national television. Of course, the whole thing was covered up and Lindsey was replaced by a robot, but you probably knew that.

This is the version that was released to the public....

It is a very beautiful picture. So sharp, with distinct colors.

The whole band was in robotic mode for Jay Leno. I believe it was the first time they had ever appeared on camera in their entire lives and they were, understandably, nervous.

The real scary part Steve...I'm pretty sure that they will play them in that exact order as well. Sure, they might throw a few songs in between somewhere, but I too would bet that those songs will be played and in that order.

Fans of the Rolling Stones complain and gripe non stop about their setlist and how it's always Start Me Up, Jumping Jack Flash, Satisfaction, Honky Tonk Woman, Sympathy, and so on...but I have to say, at least the Stones move stuff around somewhat from tour to tour and even from night to night (to some extent anyway). I mean, how many concerts can you play where the crickets lead into The Chain for your opening? For a band with so many years of material in their catalog, they really are boring with song selection.

U ain't kiddin' buddy.

Yes, that very well could have been my understatement of the year. Hell, the decade.

I mean, even if they only looked at the 1975-87, 2003 albums...they still manage to sideline a huge chunk of music. It's truly hard to believe. These are talented people with a large backing band. They should be able to pull something else off other than the Big 10 that Steve had in his list.

I'm guessing something like this:

The Chain
Dreams
Everywhere (Stevie/Lindsey duet)
Second Hand News
*NEW STEVIE SONG*
Never Going Back Again
Rhiannon
Peacekeeper
Sara
Big Love
Landslide
Go Insane
*NEW LINDSEY SONG*
Say You Will
Not That Funny
Beautiful Child
Gold Dust Woman
Can't Go Back
Silver Springs
I'm So Afraid
Tusk
World Turning
Stand Back
Gypsy
Go Your Own Way

Sisters Of The Moon (in my DREAMS!)
Blue Letter
Don't Stop

But I'd love to hear 'Angel', 'Storms', 'Straight Back' or 'Seven Wonders' in there. I also think Stevie and Lindsey dueting on 'Love Is Dangerous' would be amazing!

Not so excited about any Christine song without Christine. But like your idea of ditching the acoustic Big Love (getting very tired/overdone) for a full band performance, which has never been done before....and probably "never will."

Just Stevie and Lindsey together would be fun like Letterman and the Hall of Fame. And Lindsey could still get to show off his guitar that way, but it would be different than that same darn thing we've heard 20,000 times since The Dance.

Hi y'all. Kevin here. This is my first post. I Googled Mac's 2009 tour and found this thread/forum/website, so here I am. My dream set list (quite different from what I'd say they will actually play) is...

Blue Letter
Angel
Second Hand News
Twisted
Straight Back
Tango In the Night
Smile At You

acoustic set
Save Me a Place
That's Alright
Walk a Thin Line
I Don't Want to Know
Storms

Big Love (full band)
Sara
Welcome to the Room...Sara
Bleed to Love Her
I Know I'm Not Wrong
Beautiful Child
Peacekeeper

encores
Fireflies
the Ledge
Sisters of the Moon
Monday Morning
Gypsy

Of course, Christine will show up at the West Coast shows, and they'll decide not to cut any of the aforementioned songs but just add...

Think About Me
Sugar Daddy
Say You Love Me
One More Night
Love in Store
Hold Me
Honey Hi
Over My Head
and, of course, the ever lovely Songbird.

As you can tell, I won't be holding my breath. If they play even a few obscure live songs, I'll be happy.

Hi all, another first-time poster here (been lurking a while, though). I think you'll see this tour talk bringing quite a few of us out of the woodwork. ;)

Does "Greatest Hits" mean FM hits only? The reason I ask -- I saw a youtube video of a 1981 concert with Stevie singing "Leather and Lace" -- Sharon and Lori came out of the shadows for once, and they sang it with the three of them grouped close at one mike. It was very softly accompanied, and their harmony was gorgeous, IMO. I think it would be lovely to see those two girls come up front for that one number, at least.

Stevie's voice may have lost a bit of power, but one song I think she could handle quite nicely is "Seven Wonders."

I don't know how well she can handle "Rhiannon" these days, but still, in my fantasy setlist, I'd love to see them open the show with that. Not the long melodramatic piano thing, just start right in with the guitar, thank you.

New to the site and the forum. Been a fan of FM since I was about 7 years old or more or less the time that "Fleetwood Mac/Fleetwood Mac" aka "the white album" came out. That being said, I'm also a huge fan of the original Mac with Peter Green.

What I'd love to see, but know I never will, is Rick, Billy, and Bekka come back and have a "mini blues" set with some of the Peter Green material: Oh Well, Green Manalishi, I Loved Another Woman, Homework, Rattlesnake Shake. Possibly a couple of songs from "Behind The Mask" like "Stand On The Rock" and "When The Sun Goes Down". Bekka would be there to "fill in" for Christine (obviously she could never take Christine's place, but her voice sounds much closer to Christine's than Lindsey and Stevie trying to do certain songs.

Here's my votes for the set list (in no particular order)
The Chain, Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, Go Your Own Way, Don't Stop, Rhiannon, I'm So Afraid, Tusk, Say You Love Me, Blue Letter, Think About Me, Seven Wonders, Gypsy, Eyes Of The World, Peacekeeper, Bleed To Love Her, My Little Demon, Landslide, Say Your Will, Sisters Of The Moon, Sara, Come, Say Goodbye, Freedom, Twisted, Goodbye Baby, Beautiful Child, Stand Back, What's The World Coming To?, This Is The Times and World Turning.

I think we can forget hearing "Tango" since the solo is basically "I'm So Afraid". Why do 2 songs with the same guitar solo? Makes no sense. Unfortunately, I don't think there will be any "pre-Lindsey/Stevie" hits played on this tour, thus my suggestion for the Rick, Billy and Bekka addition that we all know won't happen.

As far as "World Turning" is concerned, let's not forget that this is "Fleetwood Mac", not "Buckingham Nicks". The band existed long before Lindsey and Stevie came along. Don't get me wrong, I love them both. Their addition to the band made it the mega-hit legendary rock band it is today, no doubt. But if they don't do "WT", where is Mick going to get his drum solo in? He's earned it. He deserves it. Let him have it. If not during "WT" then where? I'm open to suggestions.

As much as I love the Mac, if there isn't any new material on this tour, I don't know if I'll be going to the show in San Jose. $47 for nose-bleed section seems a little steep. To watch a 6'6" man look like he's 1" tall for that kind of money I just don't see as a good choice.

Anyway, that's my opinion.

Thanks. I just had another thought about a possible Stevie song for the set. Why not "Planets Of The Universe"? If memory serves, it was originally done for the "Rumours" album and then she did it again for "Trouble In Shangri-La". Why not bring it back home and do it on this tour? I think with the full compliment of Mick, John, Lindsey (who played the solo on the "Trouble In Shangri-La" version anyway), whomever they have for additional percussion, etc. it would be phenomenal!!

Anyone with any thoughts on this??

I think it could be cool, but I'd like them to do the Rumours version.

Hi y'all. Kevin here. This is my first post. I Googled Mac's 2009 tour and found this thread/forum/website, so here I am. My dream set list (quite different from what I'd say they will actually play) is...

Blue Letter
Angel
Second Hand News
Twisted
Straight Back
Tango In the Night
Smile At You

acoustic set
Save Me a Place
That's Alright
Walk a Thin Line
I Don't Want to Know
Storms

Big Love (full band)
Sara
Welcome to the Room...Sara
Bleed to Love Her
I Know I'm Not Wrong
Beautiful Child
Peacekeeper

encores
Fireflies
the Ledge
Sisters of the Moon
Monday Morning
Gypsy

Of course, Christine will show up at the West Coast shows, and they'll decide not to cut any of the aforementioned songs but just add...

Think About Me
Sugar Daddy
Say You Love Me
One More Night
Love in Store
Hold Me
Honey Hi
Over My Head
and, of course, the ever lovely Songbird.

As you can tell, I won't be holding my breath. If they play even a few obscure live songs, I'll be happy.

Kevin

Great setlist. I'd like to join in. My dream set list would be (in no particular order)...

Sisters of the Moon (!)
Thrown Down (!)
Angel (!)
Gypsy
Blue Letter
Never Going Back Again
Crystal
Go Your Own Way
So Afraid
Gold Dust Women
Second Hand News
Straight Back
I Don't Want to Know
Storms
Dreams
Rhiannon (the way she used to sing it in the 70's, including the guitar solo)
Big Love
Not That Funny
Say You Will
Go Insane
Sara
Bleed to Love Her
I Know I'm Not Wrong
Beautiful Child
Peacekeeper
The Ledge
Silver Springs
What's The World Coming To
Family Man

...forget it, I'm starting to list the band's whole catalog, haha. I love all of the Mac's songs. However, I'd ardently love to see Sister Of The Moon, Angel, and Thrown Down all added to the setlist.

I would love to hear Stevie doing "Oh Daddy"!! I've just been listening to the song recently and imaging Stevie's voice on it and I think it would be phenomenal!! It would be strange not to hear Christine doing it, but I think Stevie could pull it off.

I think we need to be open to the idea that some of these songs that Christine used to do will probably be "re-worked" in some way to better fit Stevie's voice and/or a duet situation with Lindsey. Let's face it, "Oh Daddy", "Don't Stop", "Hold Me", "You Make Lovin' Fun", "Say You Love Me" and a host of other songs that were Christine "standards" just won't sound the same with Stevie or Lindsey doing them. It's going to be different, no matter what.

Maybe there should be a different song where Mick gets his drum solo and maybe he could do something different with it. He should have an actual percussion kit rolled out to the front of the stage during a different song and do his solo that way. It would be different, it would do away with "World Turning" (which I think is awesome every time I see it, but obviously others don't agree) and be possibly more entertaining than the touch pads in the vest. I don't have any ideas about the song where this could be done, but I'm open to ideas. "Green Manalishi"? "Oh Well"? "Not That Funny"? I don't know.

Anyone with any thoughts?

Responding to my own message here with an update of what I think would be a killer set list for this tour.

Monday Morning, Gold Dust Woman, The Chain, Eyes Of The World, Dreams, Blue Letter, Rhiannon, I'm So Afraid, Say You Will, My Little Demon, Sara, Big Love, Landslide, Never Going Back Again, Say You Love Me, What's The World Coming To, Twisted, Gypsy, Come, Oh Daddy, Peacekeeper, Freedom, Oh Well, Planets Of The Universe, This Is The Time, Storms, Bleed To Love Her, Think About Me, Beautiful Child, Tusk, Don't Stop, Stand Back, Go Your Own Way, First Encore: Not That Funny (Mick's drum solo here), Sisters Of The Moon, Second Encore: Say Goodbye, Second Time. Then play "Albatross" and a series of other "Pre-Rumours" tracks as we all leave the show.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on the subject. Guess we'll never know until the shows start happening.

As Mick has quoted Shakespeare so many times in the past, "If music be the food of love, then play on!"

 Did I count 37 songs in that set!?!? As awesome as that would be...that concert would run about 5 hours and they'd probably never get through two shows!!! I'm hoping we get about 24 songs this time and they don't start to pull a Rolling Stones move. I think they were down to 18 or 19 songs at the end of their last tour in 2007.

For a drum solo, I think a percussionist should do something that showcases his DRUMMING skills, not his electronic gadgetry. Same thing with Walfredo and his digital World Turning solo.

It'd be as if I was a guitarist and for my guitar solo, I showed you how good I was on Guitar Hero, rather than demonstrating how well I could play a real guitar.

I couldn't agree more!! I love Mick, I loved the vest thing the first couple of times I saw it. Now it's old. I'd much rather see him with a percussion kit of some sort rolled out in front of the drum kit and he and whomever his percussion help will be on this tour go back and forth in a solo "tour de force". We all know Mick can do it, it's just a question of "will he"? I certainly hope so.

Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

Yeah, that set list I put up is probably in the realm of "love to see it, but it ain't never gonna happen". But hey, I can dream, right? If a guy can't dream, what has he got left?!?!

Anyway, I think 37 songs is waaaayyy too many for this band and I agree we're probably looking at something in the neighborhood of 23 - 25 songs. It should be interesting to see what songs they decide to "Unleash" on us though. I'm looking forward to seeing what the set list actually ends up being.

That's a fine choice and is familiar to casual fans, because of The Dance. However, the introduction Lindsey used to give about leeches through the ages began to sound somewhat mechanical.

I don't know if Mick should share the spotlight, being the Mac's Fleetwood and all. However, I know that one of the best parts of Stevie's solo set was when her drummers would have a little duel during the intro of EO17. One would play a riff and the other would repeat it and add a florish of his own. Can-you-top-that style. That really worked well. Also, I thought Taku really had a strong stage presence and that made it even more exciting.

Michele

sjpdg

I whole heartedly agree! I think a "drum off" sort of set up between Mick and Taku or whomever they have doing the percussion would be awesome. Have Mick's percussion set out front and leave the percussionist at their spot in the back, light them both up and let the drum stick parts fly!!! I love this idea!!

It would showcase Mick's talent/ability, which we all know he has, and would be more entertaining and interesting than dragging out the touch-sensitive drum vest yet again. It's fun, but it's old. If this is going to be a "send off" type tour, which many on this board (including myself) are thinking it may be, then why not "send off" with something like that from Mick? Then a rousing version of "Go Your Own Way", followed by a very subdued version of "Say Goodbye", and that's the end of it. "Albatross" plays as the crowd leaves and we all go home happy, but sad to see it end.

Let's just see what happens.

The Chain
Dreams
Monday Morning
I Know I'm Not Wrong
Gypsy
Second Hand News
Oh Well
Never Going Back Again
Big Love
Landslide
Storms
Beautiful Child
I'm So Afraid
Sara
Go Insane (full band)
Say You Will
Gold Dust Woman
Say You Love Me (full band acoustic)
Tusk
Go Your Own Way
Don't Stop

Other sources say the ideas are really flowing for this tour, including Stevie and Lindsey singing "You Make Loving Fun", Lindsey suggesting "Crystal" and so on...

Hmm, no Rhiannon? I don't know, but still an interesting set list.

I'm kind of with the "Yawn" crowd, but they've definitely have beaten my expectations if only barely with that set list just posted. I was expected D+ to C set list, but thats a good B-. Storms, Oh Well and Go Insane alone have me excited enough for my show even without any further suprises. And I've never heard Sara live.

On the negative side, whats with this Say You Will bull****. What a waste of a non hit to include. I'm all for them including at least one song from their most recent album, but not Say You Will. Any other song but that would be better.

Also I'm So Afraid is the only long song in the set. I doubt Lindsey will be satisfied with one song to induldge himself with. And this is only 21 songs, anmd mostly short songs at that, so there's definitely going to be more songs with Rhiannon, Silver Springs and Stand Back pretty much guaranteed.

If this were the first time people had heard "Storms", I'd think there'd be some more excitement. With "Beautiful Child" and "Sara," that makes THREE Tusk songs for Stevie! That's actually about as unleashed as this band gets in a setlist. Though, sorry folks, that's a Tusk quota: there will be no Sisters Of The Moon, which is why I suspect so many are bummed.

It's just weird to me that full-band "Go Insane" and "I Know I'm Not Wrong" already got worked out by Lindsey on his solo tour. Though, of course, even though I saw it twice then, there will be thousands more who get to enjoy those for the first time on this tour.

an ultimate FM concert.....I'm going to go in chronological order here just to keep straight in my head, but they can mix it up....but these songs:

Albatross
Green Manalishi (Stevie and Lindsey both)
Hypnotized (Stevie)
Oh Well (Lindsey)
I'm So Afraid
Blue Letter
Over My Head (Stevie)
Gold Dust Woman (perhaps with use of an Organ vs. electric keyboard?)
Never Going Back Again
I Don't Want To Know
You Make Loving Fun (Lindsey)
Sara
Tusk
Storms
I Know I'm Not Wrong
Gypsy
Hold Me (with Sharon Celani support along with Lindsey, this song needs 3 vox)
Straight Back (perhaps with support from Sharon Celani singing Christine's background)
Big Love (full band version)
Go Insane (bull band version)
Little Lies (Stevie....also support from Lindsey and Sharon Celani)

Tango In The Night segue into Come!

encore
Seven Wonders!!!
Monday Morning
Sisters of The Moon

This concert should be a full rock blowout. I know this set is probably not going to happen, and it's even a bit long, but it's my perfect FM setlist.....why oh why do they NEVER play Seven Wonders live. They haven't brought that gem out since it came out in 87.

Hello fellow Ledgies....this is my second post, but I've been a FM fan since the late 70s when I was just a wee boy. I would make one adjustment to my previous setlist, and perhaps drop Little Lies and instead have Stevie Sing "Love In Store". I have heard her sing a piece of it for a make-up dress rehearsal on you tube, and it was beautiful! Plus her background on the original recording was sooo great as well. Just a thought...

ugh, nothing is less funny than "not that funny."

i don't want to hear TEFM or WMYTYTO either, though. i can't deal with most of lindsey's staccato 2/4 tusk songs. they're too OTT frenetic for me. i don't even like the title song (yeah, i said it.).

not that OTT is necessarily bad. i love IKINW because it's OTT bombastic in a live setting. easily one of my top 3 faves from the 06 lindsey tour.

but if they're going to do a lindsey tusk song that isn't IKINW, let it be "walk a thin line."

i just hope that this boring setlist is correct and they don't include SMAP. because, even with 50 backup musicians and singers, they are just not capable of topping this:

ugh, nothing is less funny than "not that funny."Well, as far as I could ever tell, the "point" of playing NOT THAT FUNNY in the old days was to see how much varying texture & interplay & dynamics the four oddball musicians could cram into a song that rallies back & forth between two chords for 7 or 8 minutes so that the thing would rumble, spurt, & finally explode like an ejaculating volcano.

But that's all totally moot in today's Fleetwood Mac, so why bother?

And that interaction is what would make some of the little parts of Tusk so much fun back then too.

I loved that upright piano they used for it.....

After all these years, I'm finally going to see them (wish Christine was there). It will be my first FM concert, and I've loved them since the 70s, so this is a huge experience for me. But if that is the setlist, I will not be happy. If they do not do Rhiannon, I will never get over it. There are several songs on that list I have no interest in, and many others that I really want to hear badly that are not listed. I HATE Tusk. I just hope the list is wrong.

I guess we're all different and have our own personal opinions of what we want to hear, but I think most of us are in agreement on Sisters Of The Moon. It's time for them to do it. Why don't they start listening to their fans? I just don't understand why they wouldn't do SOTM. It would bring the house down.

I'm referring to this setlist:

Someone close to rehearsals (which began last week) has confirmed the band have been working up the following songs:
The Chain
Dreams
Monday Morning
I Know I'm Not Wrong
Gypsy
Second Hand News
Oh Well
Never Going Back Again
Big Love
Landslide
Storms
Beautiful Child
I'm So Afraid
Sara
Go Insane (full band)
Say You Will
Gold Dust Woman
Say You Love Me (full band acoustic)
Tusk
Go Your Own Way
Don't Stop

As much as I like it, I do wish they'd try something else from Tusk. There are other little-known tunes that would work just as well live. That's Enough For Me? What Makes You Think?

Not sure they could pull off The Ledge these days, might be too much. And ]please God, no Not That Funny[/B].

ugh, nothing is less funny than "not that funny."

i don't want to hear TEFM or WMYTYTO either, though. i can't deal with most of lindsey's staccato 2/4 tusk songs. they're too OTT frenetic for me. i don't even like the title song (yeah, i said it.).

not that OTT is necessarily bad. i love IKINW because it's OTT bombastic in a live setting. easily one of my top 3 faves from the 06 lindsey tour.

but if they're going to do a lindsey tusk song that isn't IKINW, let it be "walk a thin line."

i just hope that this boring setlist is correct and they don't include SMAP. because, even with 50 backup musicians and singers, they are just not capable of topping this:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/z5Pe9X5Lp90&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x402061&color2=0x9461ca"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/z5Pe9X5Lp90&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x402061&color2=0x9461ca" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

See, I would want to hear either of them, just to hear them done. I never would have guessed that they could pulll off IKINW, but they did. Walk a Thin Line is too slow/drawn out for the general audience, it would end up being the pee-break song. :distress: Agreed on SMAP - I f*cking love that vid clip.

Wow. That was harsh. She was just asking your opinion about something to start a dialogue - it's what we do here.

BTW - Tusk the song? I can take it or leave it.

Well they did 24 songs on the SYW tour...and that was what a 2 hour show?
Mick said in a recent interview that this is going to be a 2.5 hour show so even if SYW was 2 hr 15 minutes we aren't going to get 15 extras minutes of solos and intros. I believe part of that set list is true but I think we may have a few other surprises.

Actually the Live in Boston DVD was 120 minutes...2 hours...I just wanted to correct myself. 24 songs in 2 hours...they should be able to put in 3 or 4 more song in an extra 1/2 hour....6 more days and we will find out!!!

Don't get your hopes up. It's probably 2.5 hours including 7 minutes of chirping crickets and the 20-minute intermission. The other three minutes will be added to the conga solo at the beginning of "Stand Back." :p

They are not gonna have an intermission. The will do 2 seperate encores, for a break- I am sure, but there will not be an intermission. I would put money on it.

Mick will need the separate encores so he can suck down the oxygen tanks, as per the mirage tour vhs. :)

In Denver Lindsey was taking oxygen too. I myself fell outside. I don't know if that was due to the altitude or if I am just clumsy.

To my knowledge, they haven't done an intermission during a show ever. At least not as far back as Stevie and Lindsey joined. I might be off, but I don't recall there ever being an intermission in any show of any tour from 1975 onward. There's defenitely some others around here who can confirm this but I'm fairly positive they've never done one.

I didn't mind it when I saw The Eagles several years back. I actually don't think it's a bad idea - it would cut down on people getting up in the middle of the show to get a drink or pee or whatever. You know that throws La Nicks way off.

But his shows were so lengthy & so emotionally complete & spiritually exhaltative that an intermission seemed not only attractive but necessary.
