Center aisle security Neanderthal Nazi wouldn't let anyone except those in the front row experience the Edge walk. Stevie motioned for us to come forward, but this sitting dickhead gripped both armrests and cockblocked us.
It was a very emotional end of tour show for Stevie and the band-many tears were shed during the band intro.
She dedicated Landslide to her father and presumably the people that are hosting her three month "vacation" in France(?)-the Muellers(?).
Nothing new setlist wise; had a slight expectation that since it was the last show, we might get something special, but Stevie was very happy it didn't rain during the show. The humidity was another story though.
Sound was great and Stevie looked wonderful. I'm not sure if anything other than cellphone photos will show up since people were admonished time and time again not to take pictures. I may add more as I wake up.

I can verify this. I was sitting in Section 104 which is the left side of the stage as youre viewing the show.We were in row 2 on the aisle and our security jackass wouldnt let us up either. To make matters worse, they were letting a- holes with VIP passes up to the front, which was blocking the view. I really dont think its fair that i pay for 2nd row and they got to go up and not everyone else. VIP seats arent supposed to be the best view they are about the waitress service and preshow access. I was lucky enough that row 2 on that side is really close to the stage on both ends with only 5 seats, so i was able to scoot over to the other side and got to greet Stevie. She was pleasant but seemed confused at the security situation and really was trying to reach everyone she could without falling off the stage. My cellphone camera sucks so all my pics are blurry blobs :/
First post! 5th time seeing Stevie and first time i got to greet her and shake hands.
I think that perhaps Stevies people didnt brief security about the Edge walk. A few of us tried to explain it to the guy before EO17, but he wanted to hear none of it.

As probally the luckiest person last night, last night was an incredible high note on which to end this tour. I was lucky enough to score a front row ticket yesterday, not really even thinking it would happen. The nice guy at the box office actually came over to my car and told me he had one front row, dead center seat. It was a very emotional show last night, and you could see Stevie wipe away the tears on several occassions. I do need to say, that I did see Lenny and Steve Real walking in the parking lot earlier in the afternoon. I was surprised to see Steve there, as I havent seen him on this tour. He was also nice enough after the show to come over and say hello and gave me the set list. He really deserves alot of the credit for bringing back Stevie's voice. As for security, they were very strict. Every time I attempted to bring out the camera, they were on my ass. So this time around, no pictures. This edge walk meant something to me, which I wont go into. Yes, I have done the edge walk for more than 20 years, but last night I felt the love. I felt she stayed with me longer than she has in the past. Maybe she knew I needed that. I do feel bad to those that were held back, but I am glad that I got so much love last night. It is also a time to catch up with long time friends and I also thank Stevie for bringing such incredible people into my life. On a final note, sound check was great last night as well. Although we couldn't see it, we heard her doing Edge, Stand back, Outside the Rain, Crash. It seemed to go and on. I am not complaining. The rain gods stopped while she was doing this, so we were lucky that we didnt get wet. I am hoping that some pictures show up for this show. I would love to have some memories of this night.

Hi! Being raised and living in New Jersey, this venue (originally, the Garden State Arts Center) has always had a reputation for having security and VIP issues as described since the 70's. Too bad... it's a lovely wooded area and close to home. Why can't Stevie call the shots and they respect her wishes? The show is about and for the fans not the VIP access or security.
I saw Stevie there in August 2001. I got picked on for dancing in the aisle! I had an end seat and drifted into the aisle to dance a bit. This is the only time I've seen her in concert. If my memory is correct the base price of that 1st section seat was $87.00. I couldn't validate $125 for a ticket here. If I had remembered the show was last night, I might have gone anyway and gotten a lawn seat... oh well... I was tired and in bed by 10 p.m. anyways... maybe next year!
Cheers to Stevie's energy and light!

Since the Edge walk is such a tradition now for many many years, I have no idea why Stevie's management just doesn't outline it in the contract with the venues.
It seems like security is for the most part, clueless about the Edge rush/walk.
But I guess security falls under the purview of the venue and not the artist, but they could be a little bit more understanding.

last nights show was awesone,I got my mug shot on the venue screens,It was a very emotional end of tour show for Stevie and the band.Yes I agree on the tight security. I did not dear to pull out my new Nikon and geting it taken, the security guy was right across from me. through out the show he scanning the area and steering at me,I was sitting at stage left in front of Waddy in sec 104 row c right next to the stage.I understand its for Stevie's safety and ours to, but let the true fans have some fun too.

Maybe this is a little naive; but why don't Stevie's People discuss these things with the venue when they're working out the details of the contract?

I think it's time that Stevie and her security and management team should write up a new concert rider.
1, Have enough room for the edge walk,Stevie TRUE fans only.no VIP, or contest winners
2,Stevie's security meet up with the venue security especially the one's in the front stage area.go over the show set list and let them know what Stevie wants when the time comes
for the Edge walk.
3, Use of camera without flash To this day , I dont understand why people use a flash from the nosebleed section.if you have a switch, shut the darn flash off.or cover it with black electrical tape.
those I can think of now. add more.
She dedicated Landslide to her father and presumably the people that are hosting her three month "vacation" in France(?)-the Muellers(?).
I beleive she said in a recent interview that she was going to Europe to work on her "Rhiannon songs". We can only hope that this "vacation" finally gets this project off the ground. From what I've seen and heard on this tour, now would be a great time to make this come to light.

Stevie loves being out there with all her fans and she must really enjoy being on the road with all of her band buddies. It's got to be a little emotional when tours come to an end. I've never heard of Steve Real. Care to elaborate on him a little? I'd like to hear what he's done for Stevie's voice. If he's responsible for what I've heard on this tour, he deserves a lot of praise.

Sometimes it seems like they are. I've heard them telling concert goers that the first 3 rows will be allowed up and they seemed to have been instructed on that before hand. Sometimes, I guess not. Michele

I was told before the concert started that only the first row would be allowed to go to the stage, as per Stevie's request. I found that rather strange. As for Steve Real, he has been her vocal coach since the Dance Tour. Since then, her voice has improved with every tour. |If he is not on the road with Stevie or Fleetwood Mac, he is also Olivia Newton-John's back-up singer. His picture is in several tour books as well and has released his own cd a few years ago as well. He sat on stage last night on the right hand side all night. Over the years, I have also asked if he could get her to change up the set list and actually gave him a list of songs that we would love back in the set.. Also John, your pictures arenot showing up. Ugh. Please try to reload them. And as for the edge walk, where were you sitting?

Do you think that Steve Real is responsible for Stevie's monotone voice?
Granted no one in their 60's has the vocal range they had in their 20's and 30's.
I ask that question because I think Stevie plays it a little too safe.

My experience at the show was a lot like that. I was also in the front row (got the ticket on ticketmaster website at around 1:15 on the day of the show). I too have done the edge walk for many years (first time--1983). I felt some really good vibes from Stevie that night. She also stayed with me longer, and held both of my hands.

Your seat must have been somewhere near mine. I was also front row center.

I would imagine Stevie must worry sometimes that somebody might get hurt. Granted that it was decades ago, I could picture the incident in Cincinatti still being on her mind when she's thinking about how to handle The Edge Walk. If you try to look at it from her point-of-view, it must be pretty scary sometimes, i.m.o.

I know, that is why I think she is wonderful for doing that at each venue if she can.
I aways wondered though what it must be like on the other side bending down and looking into the crowd. I bet it is wild from her perspective. We need a "Stevie cam" attached to a head wreath or something.
