So I just got home a few minutes ago. Show was pretty good. Stevie was having problems with her inner ear....lots of echoing in her's and Sharon and Lori's. I don't think I want to be whoever Dave is...cause I think he's probably getting yelled at right this moment. Most of the high notes were missing from the show, I'm assuming due to the echoing in her ear. I have a picture of her holding her ears, which was kinda the pose of the evening. Although I do have to say, she sounded great for 3 nights in a row. Face the Promises was great. She really rocked it out. Cameras were a no go for those sitting up front and on the sides of sections. There was this one security guy in a white polo who seemed to be everywhere...but once HSML started and everyone moved up for the Edge Walk, pictures were fine. I took lots and I'll post them tomorrow night. Anyone else think the stage was super long?? When Stevie got to the girls, Lori kept saying 4 more.
I'm sure others can fill in more. I must head to bed cause I have to work in the AM. Pics should be up tomorrow.

I was there tonight. I had second row and was snapping pics all night which I am trying to upload as we speak. Stevie was on fire!!!!
From the youtube videos I have seen, shes been getting pretty slow during Stand Back. But tonight she twirled really fast and it was awesome. She did a decent sized high kick at the end too!
OTR/Dreams - What a mood killer
If Anyone Falls - Thank God she does this one now because I always wanted to hear it live for years and years and now she finally does it. Tonights version was awesome, everyone was up and dancing.
Crash - I love it. I remember listening to this version in October when the mp3 first leaked of it. It was right around the time I met my first boyfriend so this song means a lot to me.
Rhiannon - Same old shabang
Sorcerer - Blah
GDW - Love the intro to this one. Got some cool pics here too.
Landslide - A daze....I was trying to call my friend.
How Still - Well at this point everyone booked to the stage. Seriously, it was a madhouse. Someone I know from another board had his niece pushed to the ground. The stage was packed.
Edge - I grabbed both of Stevies hands and told her she was beautiful and she smiled and thanked me. So wonderful.
OH and I also got Waddy's Pick!!!
Uploading pics as we speak.

Hi Everyone,
Great Show of Stevie's in Boston only got to meet up with Tina and Two other Friends I forgot there names I am sorry if there on here but did have a nice chat with everyone before show I thought the show was great stevie did had trouble with Echo for the most of the night she played just as good as she did at Mohegan Sun Arena this past april she was on fire as always great show wish i was going to Jones Beach show but money is very tight and was glad to make it to boston love the venue Bank Of America Pavilion a better venue than Tweeter Center in Mansfield . Second time at the venue saw heart last september there awesome show with heart. I did see Lenny Castro walking and checking out the people in venue and he was right near me too where my seat was on the side of the venue in section 3 and watching mandy moore i was so tempted to go up to him and ask if its possible to meet stevie and I felt he would say no but i guess that would be the worst part of all is he would say is no.
Mandy Moore was not too bad actually liked her she was better than I thought she was very similiar to Vanessa Carlton. The Show started later than expected but Stevie did all the songs she did in the past except for fall from grace was not in this set. I love it when she plays Destination Unknown by missing persons and they crank it up right before she comes out i love it.
Sorry I did miss Kim and few others was supposed to meet up with maybe next show
but had a great time was dancing and singing all night there was some people just sitting there or standing there not moving or singing along I am sorry but I have to sing and dance when I am at a concert and A great time. I did bring a camera but left in the truck like an idiot but i dont think i would have gotten goods pictures since I was in Section 3 row K which is 9th row wasnt too bad but for taking pictures i dont think they would have come out anyway i could have probably brought my camcorder and they didn't say a thing they didn't check anything there just my ticket at the door no security check i was surprised figuring she was relaxed about security cause of this very short tour she is doing this spring and summer. So Next Tour will be with Fleetwood Mac I think and maybe another solo tour after that i hope. Well Boston was another great show and the night was beautiful cause they were predicting a down pour of rain and thunderstorms thank god it didn't rain or thunder but either way we were under a big white tent...lol take care everyone.
Peace and Love,

I was there thanks to a ticket someone gave DavidMN in Atlantic City. The guy couldn't come up here so he didn't need it. Honestly I didn't believe it was a real ticket until I got through the door. It was row 20 in the side section way on the outside aisle. I was very happy with it. I snuck down to the front for Edge with my friend Nancy from Enchanted. I didn't try to shake Stevie's hands since people were already 3 deep against the stage, I just wanted to be down there for it. It was amazing. I just love the energy up in the front. So thanks to David for my free Stevie ticket.
Bummer I didn't get to meet all of you^ fine Ledgies.

She'd probably be so off-key you wouldn't want that. I am sure after 40 years of REALLY REALLY LOUD rock music blaring in your ears there is more than a little bit of earing damage/loss...
The ear monitors have been a God-send for most artists. I think some old-schoolers have trouble getting them adjusted right though.

I've got to wonder if she really is having problems or if it's more of a nervous tick at this point. More OCD than necessity.

On Friday night I threw out my back - badly - forcing me to miss the show. I live exactly 15 minutes walking from the Pavilion, so it stung just a little more.

I was noticing that in the video behind her, she is whirling like a dervish, while often times the live Stevie is barely making the 360. It was kind of an amusing contrast.
It's the rare venue that can stop the crowd during HSML. When the stampede started, security probably never knew what hit them.
Thanks for the review.

It appeared to be a combination. Stevie was clearly flustered with the inner ear. Not only was she commenting on it, but I was seated in front of the girls and at least once a song Sharon and Lori would turn around and have their volumes adjusted. Just before HAEWAFY, Stevie turned and gave her "I'm angry" glare toward the side of the stage and then violently moved her hands up and down before she began singing. PS aside from occational obnoxious drunk yelling, you could have heard a pin drop during that song. And as much as I love BATB, HAEWAFY is a great closer.
Steve, sorry I missed you!! I was looking for you. I saw Tina before the concert....did you end up seeing her after?? And I looked for David everywhere, but never saw him.

Poor Stevie. Every show that I have seen and since she started wearing the ear monitors, she has always fiddled with them. Every time. Maybe she needs to give them up.
I've seen lot's of other shows and have not seen any artist fiddle with them at all or anywhere near as much.

As far as I know the prompter is only for the words....I think I even have some concert photos where you can see the monitor. I don't know much about the mechanics of it though. Anyone out there know the difference and how exactly the inner ears work?? I know Stevie loves to fiddle with it....usually turning it down before she hits a high note. And wasn't it the famous Hard Rock Ft. Lauderdale cursing incident that took place due to problems with her inner ears?? I seems like we are talking about two different things...the OCD playing and then the echoing a la last night.

There are two "monitors" that are being referred to - one is sound monitors - the ear monitors that she wears but the old "floor" monitors are monitors that are on the floor in front of the artist. Sound monitors let you hear the music and yourself singing, although some singers don't like for their vocals to be up too high. I think if you sing "by ear" and do a lot of harmony singing you prefer your vocals to be up high though.
The 'teleprompter' is also called a monitor which scrolls the lyrics to the songs. I think Cory may run the teleprompter or the back screens- at least that's what it looked like from my vantage point in Alpharetta.

I've seen many "older" artists have issues with the ear monitors. One in particular I know of mentioned that he needs a lot of treble due to earing loss and unfortunately, it never seems to get adjusted. I think at soundcheck you can't accurately gauge how things will be once you put thousands of people into the venue which changes the acoustics and then add all the noise from the crowd. And, then there's the technical issues which you can never really control. Maybe they were just having a bad night...or the sound guys were pissed at someone...lol

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the board, and I wanted to share my Boston experience with you. I've been a Stevie/FM fan since The Dance and have been to almost every Boston area show for the past 5 years. This was the most special to me because I finally got to shake Stevie's hand! :blob2:
My seats were Section 1, Row 2. This was the closest I have ever been, though I managed to pull 4th row in Vegas last March. During Mandy Moore's set, I saw Lenny Castro and Jimmy Paxson talking with one of the security guards. My friend kept telling me to go over and talk to them, but by the time I actually got up the nerve, they headed backstage. I thought Mandy Moore was decent, and I respect that she's trying to get away from her earlier teeny bopper songs.
Stevie was amazing as always! I love Stand Back as an opener, it gets the crowd going right away. I didn't think Security was that bad. There was one older guy who was a jerk but there were two nice guys who were letting people come up from the back to take one close-up picture. I was afraid the grumpy guy wouldn't let us go up for the Edge walk, so I asked one of the nicer guys if we would be able to and he said yes. Right before Stevie finished Landslide, I told my friend to get all her stuff and we stood right in front of the nice security guard. When he motioned us through, we got right up to the stage, right in front of the girls! I was able to get to the stage in Vegas, but this was WAY better because there wasn't a wall of security guards blocking the stage. Once Stevie started singing Edge, I thought I was going to pass out because I was so excited. Then when she started the walk, I started getting tears in my eyes thinking about Stevie being so close to me. My friend kept laughing at me and reminding me to breathe at the same time. Then Stevie was in front of me and I saw that she had a free hand, so I put my hand right up to it, and she took it! Then I completely lost it - I cried and cried because I couldn't believe I had FINALLY gotten to shake Stevie's hand on the famous Edge walk!
By the time she started singing Rock N Roll (loved the high leg kick at the beginning of it), I still hadn't completely recovered. We were right in front of the girls, Lori saw me and smiled and waved so I waved back and then Jana saw me and smiled too, which I thought was very nice of them. I felt bad for the two guys who were standing next to me because they were having a blast and taking all kinds of cool pics. They probably thought, "Who is this freak next to us crying?" I don't know if they are Ledgies or not, but if you are, I was the girl in the purple shirt next to you crying like a baby. As much as I loved Beauty and the Beast as a closer to the show, HAEWAFY seemed to be the perfect way to end what is so far the greatest night of my life.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone on the board and am so glad to have found a place where I can share things like this with fellow Stevie/FM fans!

Hi Kim,
No I only saw tina before we went into the show for about half an hour or so with her mom and 2 other friends I think Tom and Jim met them in mansfield last year had a great time on the show I was thinking of heading down to edge walk but when i saw everyone rush during how still i said forget it i know i wasn't going to get in there so i stayed where I was section 3 row k 9th row on waddy side . I saw Lenny Castro walking around and he was right near me by a few feet and just watching Mandy Moore peform I was so tempted to walk up to him and introduce myself and tell him how long of fan I have been of Stevie's and was wondering if he can get me into a meet and greet with her I just don't like to hear the word no so i chickened out do u think he would have helped me get a meet and greet cause no one came up to him at all to talk to him. I know you have been to a few meet and greets i don't know if u met Lenny at one of the shows before do u think if i went up to him and told him about me and how long have been a fan do u think he would have got me into a meet and greet? I would go nutz if he said yes.
talk to you soon kim,:woohoo:
Peace and Love,
