Yeah, I knew she couldn't really have done that. David Duchovny did once (well, sort of) and the fall out wasn't pretty.
So, I'm glad to hear Stevie found Canada "fantastic."

Thank you. It is a Canon Powershot S3 camera. I read tons of reviews on digital cameras and finally decided on this one. It got great reviews and positive marks on the movie taking capability to zoom while filming. There is an S5 model but more expensive without a lot of upgrades, just a newer model, so that is why I went for the S3 because it was cheaper. This type of camera is considered the top of the line of the point and shoots before entering into the SLR professional series of cameras.

(This is the song I got "busted" on but was a rebel and kept recording anyway, so please understand that is why there is some time where Stevie is not on the screen).

Again, I'll restate what I said shortly after the first show this month, how can anyone be complaining about her soing Face the Promise. It is so asweome and so rocking, and yet still so obscure of a song, that it's literally like her doing a brand new song of hers, that just happens to be written by Bob Seger (That opinion is voided of course if you're a big Seger fan) Watching FTP her and on YouTube brings back memories of when Stevie played Fall From Grace on the blockbuster awards before TISL came out. There she was rocking her 50 year old ass off and the song was brand new, I had never heard it before, which made it even more special. Now it's just her 60 year old ass instead.

Very good post. The energy and newness of it all is fantastic. It is kind of like the replacement for I Need to Know. Just another rock song that happens to be done by a guy originally, but Stevie proves she can put her own unique stamp on it and rock out just like the guys can. Even at 60.:nod: Very good observation of Face the Promise akin to the Blockbuster FFG performance. Very rockin'.
I so wish that could have been on the Soundstage disc instead of Crash. (sigh)
oh well. That is why I tried my best to get the song on video (sorry I kind of got busted, but if everyone else around me had not have sat down, I probably would have got Stevie for the whole song). Oh well. I tried my best and is better than nothing I guess.

Anytime :D No problem, love sharing info among Stevie fans. I did take a couple of photos too, but came out a tad blurry only because that darn Stevie keeps moving around too much. : ) I will post them soon. (I only took a limited amount of actual photos because I wanted to leave room on the disc for the movies and then I can take the movies into a video capture mode in some software and create images that way too. I have to play around with the clips that I have to see what turns out.
I also have almost the entire Rhiannon and GDW as video clips and they are 1 gig each and having some technical issues with the transfer from the camera to my pc, but am waiting on a new flash card reader that can do the transfer so I should have them by the end of the week. I can't wait to see how they turned out.

Thank you all for the compliments. I just wanted to give back to the community and try to document as much as possible to share with everyone.
I should have Rhiannon and GDW posted by the end of the week. They are huge files.
And if they turned out as good as I think they turned out, I think everyone is in for a treat. I was really impressed with this camera.

From the NY Daily News:
-Meanwhile, Stevie Nicks has a plan for achieving world peace - vested interests included. "Music has always helped me through the dark times in my life," she told the crowd at her Saturday show at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. "So listen to the radio, dance in the streets, buy records - save the music business! - and maybe we'll be able to bring peace to our earth."
That's for sure. You deserve a purple heart Sandy. I get scared when security even looks in my direction. Michele
I'm considering taking some pictures, but what are the chances either your camera gets taken away, or even worse, you get your ass kicked out? Now that would piss me off.
Thanks for posting the videos; I really enjoyed them. I really liked that Face the Promise. That is a real rocking song. It suits Stevie.
I don't understand why some security people have to act like a-holes. What harm was done that it was recorded?

I have the same problem if you are using Firefox? I usually have to switch to Internet Explorer for embedded videos. I think it has something to do with how it reads the flash code.

Thank you for the compliments. The lighting was a challenge and so were the people directly in front of me (well, plus I am short). ;) but it turned out better than I thought it would, so I am pleased that I got this recorded so I can remember it for years to come.
As soon as I can get Rhiannon and GDW videos off my camera, I will post here.
Should be later this week.

I'm curious if you just used the auto setting for your camera.... I have the same camera and have never been able to use it at a Stevie show yet--but I did use it at a Tesla show and noticed that my pictures came out really bright like yours did........ I'm wondering if it is just the camera because my other smaller Canon camera that I have been able to actually use at a couple of shows seems to be a little more "true" to color I guess you would say--great pics by the way!!

I had it in night time scene mode, I thought that would help with the dark lighting conditions that plague Stevie's concerts, but the bright spotlight on her I think is what really threw it off. It was the first time I was shooting with this new camera, so am still learning about all the functions. Maybe I should have left it in Auto mode, but got a couple decent photos and that is more than I ever seemed to get in the past (a bunch of Stevie blurriness).

It is a Canon S3 Powershot.
I think as time goes on, fans are getting better and better at this as digital camera technology gets tinier and better. I can only imagine what pics will look like with the FM tour in 2009 (hopefully).

I finally was able to get the Rhiannon video off of my camera. (had some technical difficulties since the file was so huge). Sorry about the unsteady-cam. I had to rely on a little view finder and this was after the camera nazis caught me once, so I was trying to deal with that and people's heads in front of me.
I have GDW I will upload too.

Funny. We Canadian's feel the same way when we come back into Canada
Why was Stevie in Canada for 3 days for a 1 nite show?
Not to start any kind of border war here,
don't forget that Stevie loves all of her fans,
yes, last year, (2007), at Casino Rama, (x2), &, The John Labatt Centre in London, she told the crowd(s) how much she loved them, &, how "nice" we Canadians are, &, that some Americans are "not so nice".
This went over really well with the crowd(s), as intended, but, I do believe that Stevie did not mean to put down any Americans, (other than those who are "not so nice", &, they know how they are).
So this year, (2008), Stevie, &, the band, came back to Casino Rama, for one night, the show was fantastic, &, Stevie said how nice it was being in Canada, again the crowd loved this.
The show ended about 11, Stevie left promptly to catch her flight to Atlantic City. The rest of the crew hit the road about 1 o"clock in the morning to drive to AC.
I went home, went to bed, got up at 5, drove to AC, got there about 3, met Waddy, Jimmy, &, Al, in the Borgata Lobby at 3;30.
At both of the Borgatta shows, Stevie mentioned having been up in Canada, &, how great it was to be back home, &, the crowd(s) loved it.
So not to offend anyone, but there are "nice", &, "not so nice" people on both sides of our border.
Stevies fans are the "nice" kind.
See you at the next concert, say hello to each other,
G.
