So, I may have a new job pole dancing. I'm starting tonight. As much as I want to, I can't seem to get on board with stripping to any Lindsey or Stevie tunes. Am I just overlooking a few songs? Or are they as I suspected... they simply aren't stripping tunes?

Now, I'm thinking Albatross might be a good one to go ahead with, but I'm not really familiar with most pre-Lindsey/Stevie FM music. Can anyone suggest any songs that may be good for pole dancing?

This is a tough one as I do not know your style or if you're looking for upbeat numbers to throw your legs around that pole. Albatross is very slow; it's sexy, but a slow burn.

If I had to do a pole dance with a FM/SN/LB song, I would try these sexy songs:
Big Love (TITN album version)
Love is Dangerous
Paper Doll
Isn't It Midnight
Violet and Blue

Lola (my Love)
Ricky

For a slower shimmy, I like Rooms on Fire and Slow Dancing.Michele

I always thought Brown Eyes had a slow, sexy feel to it.

I think Never Forget too. But the whole album has possibilities because it has that tribal beat running through it. You could move in time to the drum on either Tusk or Honey Hi. For something faster, Angel. If you're quite athletic and limber, The Ledge.

There can only be one.

Whole. Lotta. Trouble.

Well, it's not really Fleetwood Mac, but Stevie sings backup on BB Kings "Can't Get Enough". That would be an excellent song to strip to.

What about Gold Dust Woman?

what about:

violet and blue
whole lotta trouble
edge of seventeen
nothing ever changes
all over you
no spoken word

Yeah... upon further review, about 80% of Stevie's output from 1983-1989 could work in a strip club setting.

Someone suggested Never Forget- if I was in a strip club and heard the opening strains of Never Forget, I'd be outta there even faster than if I saw Pacman Jones & crew start to "make it rain".

I think "Thousand Days" would be fitting.

I just think it's sultry, if you are doing a slow strip. At least I didn't suggest Never Make Me Cry.:p

It occurs to me that collectively, we know wayyyyy too much about the components of good stripping!

Send me a picture of yourself and I'll tell you what song you would look good Stripping to.

Sugar Daddy!

Desiree would also be fun. Or the Mirage tour version of Not That Funny, if you could somehow edit out Lindsey's 3 minutes of screaming. On second thought the screaming might help?

I saw an exotic routine to Rhiannon once that was very sexy - sensual, actually. Don't know how it would go over with a pole, though.

Wow! These were some great suggestions. For some reason, I never even thought of Gold Dust Woman. That would absolutely work where I would... work.

I'd love to do Ricky, but I think the crowd might kill me. This bar I'd be working at is great for anything very classic or very modern. It'd really be hard to adopt anything eighties, at least for now, depending on the sound.

Tusk is one of my favourite songs, and honestly, I've had an experience stripping to that song before in my waaay younger years, and it just made me feel icky afterwards. Too much bomp about it, I guess. It'd be the same with Not that Funny. Brown Eyes is one I think I could adopt safely after a little while, and yes, it's totally sexy and smooth.

Thanks, guys! I actually didn't start on Sunday like I said. I sorta jumped the gun. I'm ALMOST ready for my first day. I just need a few more pole-dancing lessons behind me before I'm confident enough to go ahead with a full set.

"How Still My Love" is a really sexy song. Last Friday in St. Louis, Stevie performed it live, and she did this incredibly suggestive dance at the end where she slipped off her gold drape and swung it around her head... it was hot:

The openning of Sister of the Moon has a great dance beat to it.

I second Brown Eyes. Sexiest song ever.
How Still My Love, too.
What about Come?

Great suggestion! I have no idea why I didn't think of that.

I'd say Lola (from Buckingham Nicks) and Come.

Wait, has no one suggested Hypnotized yet?! I don't know why I forgot about that one... I always think "stripping" when I hear the intro.
