I am going to the Friday show.

I heard that security is pretty loose about cameras, but what are other people's experiences? I have a higher end point and shoot digital camera (no removable lenses) and a cheaper one, but hope to get higher quality pics/video.

I'll be seeing her at the 2nd borgota show! :) I was there last year. I was able to get some pictures, and a video during BATB. Security never said anything about the camera.

How are they with letting people go up to the stage for the edge walk? I didn't do that last year, I was farther back.

Row 15, seats 1 & 2, section 400 on Friday. (I know it is not in the first 10 rows, but am told the way the section is set up, it is closer than I think). :blob1::blob2:
Super congratulations to snagging row 5, that is AWESOME!

I am on the fence, depending on the following:

-If the setlist doesn't change significantly, I'm sitting this out. And, no I don't consider switching the placement of "Rhiannon" and "Gold Dust Woman" a "change."

-Getting a good seat. If the past is any indication, it will be a nailbiter to the end.

-...and... is a $99 room at the Borgata completely out of the question?

They will totally let you shoot still photos, as long as you don't use a flash. But try moving up during the Edge walk and you will get a five-knuckle sandwich. I done seen it!

That IS funny! I would love to stay there, but there is no way I would ever pay almost $500 for one night just to lay my head down for a few hours. Speaking of hotels, I'm going to the Friday show. Any one have good leads on places to stay that aren't too pricey?

FYI, for any NY area Ledgies I saw that Megabus.com is offering $5 round trip fares from Penn Station to Atlantic City. Sure beats the crap out of fighting Friday night shore traffic with $4/gallon gas.

Well, I'm staying near Philadelphia because one, its a bit cheaper, 2 its only like 40-50 miles from AC, and 3, I'll get a better head start on Sunday the 22nd for the Drive to Boston for that nights show.

I'm going to either Friday or Saturday show..depending on which one I can get tickets for! I wish she was playing a night at the Tweeter in Camden. I find it almost impossible to find good seats for shows at the casinos. I'm going to just keep checking ebay and the Borgata website and hope that I get lucky. All the tickets on ebay are for 2 and I only need one. I was in the 3rd row Pit last year at the Tweeter and handed Stevie a bouquet of roses. I'm spoiled now and I wont settle for anything less than 3rd row.

I plan on going to both shows, but I just came from the Borgata Events website and no tickets were available for either night.. uh oh.. did I wait too long.. (last summer I got a front and center seat the day before the Camden show..I guess Casinos do things a bit different)

oh well.. still going to head out to AC and hope to score one ticket for both nights - i'll even take a crappy upper riser seat..

if I don't somehow get a ticket, I'll drown my sorrows in the Gypsy bar listening to a band called Monkey Bus...

look for places in Absecon, NJ, its pretty much like staying in AC - it's like the next town over, but you can still see the hotels I think...

We stayed in a Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn (some kind of Inn chain) in Absecon one time and it wasnt bad or expensive.

I havent missed an AC show in years but it looks like I have to miss these two!

I did manage to get a very few pictures from last night. I have no clue as how to post them, so if anyone can help with this, I will get them posted. I will also be writing my review later today when I have abit more time. I managed to get front row last night and I also got Ashley and her family upgraded as well next to me. Great show, as always.

Photobucket.com seems about the easiest, unless you use imageshack.us or mediafire.com

Photobucket, you can create an account for free, upload our pics, then post the links here to view... Pretty simple.

Imageshack you do the same, create an account, or if you don't want to, you upload one by one, and after each upload post the link of each photo you've uploaded.

Mediafire.com, you don't need an account, you can upload more then one at a time, then post the links here as well...

So there's a few options.

For future reference. Do they always release primo seats the day of at the Borgata. I'm going out to see the Eagles next month and the tickets so far for the added Sat. night show on July 19th are good but not that good. They just went on sale this morning. So AMoc how did you upgrade last night to row 1-at the venue. Thanks!

No, they don't always release especially front row. Eagles is a huge high roller show. First five rows will be reserved for high rollers. My friend that ushers at the Borgata said that moving will be more stricter as in they will not be allowed to move people up to high roller seats.

Did you get tickets for Eagles at the Borgata?

carol7lynn
06-21-2008, 02:00 PM
John,

Yes. I got 3rd row center seat, center section 300 for the July 17th show this past Wed. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it popped up. The best I could do before that was section 400 row 11 outside aisle seat. Of course I grabbed it up and the rest is history.

ILAA is selling VIP tickets for both shows. I doubt that they will be snatched up as they are $1,500 a pop. No one I know is willing to do that-even the die-hard fans who have been paying $1,000 a seat for this tour so far. I think ILAA threw back some seats from the July 17th show this week and that's how I got lucky. I'm hoping the same thing holds true for July 19th show.

400 is actually a great section it's actually really close to the stage. I wonder if these shows will sell out. What do you think?

You get anything for Saturday or were those the seats in 400?

I saw someone mention a live broadcast of this show? Has it popped up anywhere?

carol7lynn

John,

Re-called the ComCast ticket line and I'm glad I did. I got a different agent this time and she hooked me up with FRONT ROW-section 500 inside aisle seat. :] So, although I will be off sides , it's still front row for $100 less than the people in the aisle seat of section 400 right next to me will be paying. The best I could do with the internet, using three browers, was section 400 row 8 two seats from the outside aisle.

Sorry to have hi-jacked this thread folks. It's just that I'm doing the cross-country trek and don't want to gamble (forgive the Atlantic City pun) on getting a better seat day of the show. But, I also didn't want to sit 8 rows back, off sides, when I can sit in the front row off-sides. Thanks for your help and patients. If anyone can give me more info on the venue PM me so we don't keep this thread tied-up any longer.

Well, just got home and am tired, but thought I would just add a few observations of the Friday show on 6/20
I was in section 400, which should have been rocking with people standing and rocking out, but a majority of the section was sitting down for a majority of the concert. WTF is up with that? They only stood during well known songs like Stand Back, Rhiannon, Edge.

In fact, the reason why I got "busted" by the security guy was because I was the only one standing in the section around me and it was really obvious I had a camera. I didn't know I was the only one standing by the way, so I took one for the team so to speak. winky I was totally zoned into Stevie and trying to hold the camera still. The guard did ask me nicely to put the camera away, so I just sat down and changed my view screen to the view finder to be less obvious and continued to tape the show from my seat when everyone was sitting. I was bold though and a rebel and again taped while standing if other people were standing around me and just tried to be as discrete as possible.

I have to go through the video and audio to see what came out and will post asap. I have some editing to do of the video.
The audio is one big file so I need to split it up. I hope it came out okay.

At the end of HAEWAFY, she asked that if we were to donate money, please donate/support to the USO. (not exact words, but paraphrasing here).

Right after Stand Back, Stevie mentioned about being in Canada before this show and was really proud to be an American and and happy to be back in America. (again not exact words, but paraphrasing here). Can't remember the exact words she said, but was something along those lines.

I got the entire Rhiannon because I wanted to record her higher vocals at the end, it was amazing (unicorns or not).
I don't have a problem with them because my attention was on Stevie.

I also taped the intros and her laugh when she made a joke about Jana being her other Sister in law.

I also got most of GDW I think. Hard to remember everything as it all passes by so quickly.

The graphic on the screen while waiting for the show to start was cool. It was a picture of a budidst/zen looking statue with a blue background.

My take on it from 15 rows back was that Stevie was having a blast and totally enjoying herself (especially during Rock and Roll). I also did not notice as much ear monitor fidgeting on her hip, but maybe that was because I was 15 rows back, not sure.

She let out a good wail during HSML that I think I missed on video Sad but sent a chill down my spine, it was so powerful.
The ending of HAEWAFY sent chills down my spine at how powerful Stevie's vocals can be. It filled the entire venue with such in intimate feeling and power with "connect...ion" WOW.

All in all, a great show, but disappointed in the crowd as a whole with my section mostly sitting. Sad
I mostly stood though during the whole show. Only sitting to try to tape as discretely as possible.

Sorry I am jumping around a lot but am typing this as my memories come to me.
I hope some other people were lucky to get good photos/video/ or audio as well.

Shandi, it was great meeting you right before the show, I hope you had a great time as well.

I am off now to take a much deserved nap.

Stevie and the band were on fire last night - I had a time.

I was lucky to score 5th row seats in section 400 yesterday morning online - so I hopped on the DC to AC bus express and made my way to Jersey...

My last experience with a Casino show was filled with people all around me yelling for me and others to sit down(some folks weren''t too nice in their asking..) As soon as Stevie came out blazing with Stand Back, I was bombarded with the "Sit Down" screams.. so I quickly made my way over to the right side of the stage, and found a great spot to stand and groove to Ms. Nicks, and that's what I did for the whole concert.. perfect space, as Stevie said, to be part of the band.. as a huge Stevie fan I was in my element..and not in any one's way. :-) I will say that this one guy kept asking security to make folks sit, but the security guy pretty much said they have a right to stand...:-)

The show was terrific, for the most part. Stand Back is a great opener, and I LOVED that 'Outside the Rain' is back in the setlist. I've always loved that song and how it merges into Dreams. I can't say I'm too crazy about "Crash" - it looks like Stevie really enjoys doing this song - but I was imagining "Rooms on Fire" or "Gypsy (like how she did it acoustically at one of the AHI show)s.. even "Sara" would have been nice.. It was the only part of the show that I drifted away from Stevie for just a bit.. she was cute 'hiking up her skirt.." but for me, the song seemed to kind of plod along..

On the other side, I really dug the Bob Seger "Promise" song.. her and the band really rocked and rolled it.. I loved the highway rolling along background.. Great performance. Although a cover, this track added to the experience..

Also, loved, loved, loved both Gold Dust Woman and How Still My Love.. Stevie and her capes (or shawls or whatever)... She just really wraps herself around these two and I find myself totally into all of her price glory... her strut off stage after HSML is priceless.

Edge rocked the place, as usual.. I noted that fans were gathering around me as soon as the song neared, hoping to rush the stage. (After last year's experience in Camden, I was staying right where I was).. some folks made it up, but some folks didn't due to security - there was this evil security woman who didn't like anyone taking pictures, and she positioned herself right in front of the passageway to Stevie pitdom.. she was not letting many through.. She was taking her job (and the little bit of power she thought she had) a little too serious.

During the Edge walk, one fan gave Stevie a wreath like thing with blue ribbons that Stevie put on her head and wore - she was beaming. I thought that was cool.. I also liked how she was a bit playful with her girl singers towards the end (I was near that side of the stage and it was fun to observe). And let me say, Stevie does really look beautiful for being 60.

I love how she closes with "Has Anyone.." When the piano introduction begins, the video screen is an image of the camera panning over rows and rows of white crosses (obviously soldier's graves)... and when she begins to sing ever so beautifully, images of our soldiers appear.. a very moving tribute. I love how she ends by wishing for our country to be at peace. A perfect way to end another wonderful concert by Stevie.

I really had a wonderful time - I may have to hike up to Jones Beach next Saturday night for the show - on the blue water..

about Atlantic City - I had about two hours before I caught my bus back to D.C. and as I walking around the Casino drinking a beer , proudly wearing my Stevie Nicks crystal visions tee (yep, had a few nice comments about the shirt) I realized not everyone had the perfect evening that I did. One guy was upset because he lost all of his tax rebate refund.. one guy was yelling at the ATM machine because it wouldn't give him any money.. and one woman was telling the cash advance teller to check her account again... I was happy to get back on the bus, put on my ipod to listen to a Stevie bootleg, and crawl into that wonderful peace that music takes you to.

I can't wait to see your photos Stephanie.. congratulations on being able to capture so many, as where I was standing, security was not being too kind to photographers..

and Torri, as always, good to see you again.. :)

During the Edge walk, one fan gave Stevie a wreath like thing with blue ribbons that Stevie put on her head and wore - she was beaming. I thought that was cool..

Oh, that does sound special and a rare thing for Stevie to do these days. That would have made a great photo. It sounds like Stevie's show is really hot right now and the energy is maintained venue after venue.

The way you described the crosses on the HAEWAFY video, I can tell it's moving.

Thanks for the review.

I was finally able to upload a few pictures from last night. These are probally some of the worst pictures I have ever taken. Damn new camera. Anyway, they are found here. www.webshots.com

Thanks for posting the pics. Nothing wrong with them. What kind of camera do you have? Stevie does look good for being 60.

I can't believe security was so tight on Saturday. I went to The Borgata last year to see Stevie & it was on a Saturday. The crowd was way into her. Maybe because Chris Isaaks warmed up the crowd  Everybody stood most of the time. So many people were taking pics that security had to let people take pictures. They let some people go up for Edge, but some they didn't (like me). But they weren't mean about it. They could only let a certain amount of people up there.
