Madness Fades

I picked Madness Fades simply because I liked the lyrics from Lindseys 'Countdown'
and those two words are in the song and sounded well together.

Pete was my partners name in English. His real name in his own language also started with a P, hence the Petep. And he drove a Saab 9000, hence the Petep9000.
That was the old AOL username I used when I started going online in 1993, because I didn't know how to set up my own account so I used his. Eventually he stopped using it completely and it was 'mine'. It just carried over into other things eventually, like this board.
Silly, right. To use a user name that was a tribute to someone you loved, when that person doesn't exist in your life anymore..

dnightshade
05-27-2008, 03:47 PM
dnightshade is short for Deadlynightshade which is a flowering vine that falls under the nightshade umbrella. It's very poisonous and has been used for medicinal as well as murderous purposes throughout history. It's been widely believed to be a key ingredient in most any "witches brew" and in Love Potions. Deadlynightshade is synonymous with Belladonna.

I don't think it's silly. I think it's touching and poetic - in a romantic kind of way. It's def. something I would do.

I created this screen name when I was 15, thinking that I was cleverly disguising my Fleetwood Mac love in a way that Fleetwood Mac fans would recognize, but that I could use elsewhere and not have people be like "OBSESSED!" First four letters of Lindsey, first four letters of Buckingham, backward. So clever, I thought I was. I added the 17 later, since it's the day I was born and you almost always need numbers these days or else the word is already taken.

For me, this was easy....
I wanted to stay secretative about who I am and I didn't want to have to remember any numbers <smile>
I love the moon and everything about her, the way she looks, shines, changes, is full and is new...like me--
I am never the same.
Always changing moods, wants, desires, needs, clothes...just my whole personality is about little changes that you may not notice.
Just like the moon changes her looks daily. I love how people disregard the moon's influence, of their moods and
do not think they are connected. But, check the pages in the paper for their "Horoscope...that's all about the sun.The sun hurts my eyes .
But I can stare at my Sister Moon for hours upon hours.
Some nights that is likely to be where you will find me...
"Nightdreaming" under the moon's constant glow.
Plus, it doesn't hurt that I love Sisters of the Moon

So mine's obviously a Stevie lyric reference that I started using around the 8th grade. I was an emo little middle schooler and related the "Said no to him again and again/ first he took my heart than he ran" to my one of my best friends. I pretty much worshipped the ground this kid walked on, he was my first kiss, we were as close as two thirteen/fourteen year olds could be, but we WERE thirteen or fourteen and he wasn't "cool enough" for me to date. I was also an asshole back then. Anyway, "Like a willow I can bend" was my instruction to myself to stop being such a jackass, stop caring what people who weren't really my friends would say and just go ahead and date this guy.
This is also the boyfriend I bitch and moan about having broken up with this winter.

Many moons ago, when I chatted regularly in Yahoo! Chat, I was christianzombievampire, after a line from "The Days of Swine and Roses" by My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult. That's long to type, though, so people shortened it to Zombie (or Zomb or Zombs).
When I can't get a straight Zombie username, I use a variation, like GoZombieGo or Zombie_Reanimated.

I started using this username when I was 13 and it just stuck. When I lived on a Lakhota Sioux reservation, I was named "Midday Moon Rising" (long story). So the "arisen" at the end is a reference to that. My name is Danielle, not Daniella-- but the Sioux used to call me Daniella so it just kinda stuck.

I hate thinking up usernames -- I like to have them obscure, not giving too much away but still a bit quirky.
To choose my Ledge username, I employed the help of an anagram creator. It's sad, but it's true. I was going through my crazy Tusk-addict phase (which, to be fair, I'll probably always be in), so I plugged in 'Storms' and 'Beautiful Child' -- nada. I took out an 's' (which I spose is cheating, but I was getting desperate; well, more desperate) and behold: "This doubtful miracle". I thought, yeah, that's kind of neat, and a little bit dramatic -- I'll take it, thank you, anagram man!
Surprisingly complex for a pretty average username actually. I was always jealous of Strand, trackaghost, and Haunted_Song (there's that Tusk love again) for stealing what I thought were some of the coolest FM-related names ;)
Pete was my partners name in English. His real name in his own language also started with a P, hence the Petep. And he drove a Saab 9000, hence the Petep9000.
Silly, right. To use a user name that was a tribute to someone you loved, when that person doesn't exist in your life anymore..
no, very sweet... what nationality was your partner (if i might ask)?
