Well, whoever owns this site has an absolute ****load more pictures in her collection, there's just one small problem:
None of them measure more than 160 pixels in either width or height. Maybe you can beg the site owner for bigger versions of some of the pics. But in the meantime, enjoy.

I've actually seen a couple of these close up and you really can't tell if it is Stevie or anyone recognizable in them (at least in the two I saw).

Well, there's one where it looks like the man is leaning over and kissing the woman in the next chair. It's the 3rd one, in the row second from the bottom. So, naturally inquiring minds . . . Michele

From my understanding, "all" or most of these pictures were just - recently "ripped off" of a very dear friend of mine's website, that they've had for years! They had to shut their site down due to this person stealing their stuff, and there was a huge thread on it, on 7. It's a really sad thing, that someone in this day and age, had to stoop that low, to do this to someone.. but I'm not going to go any further with this, as I certainly don't want any "wars" here - like there were over there. :(

That sucks, Arelene. How wrong! I know I'm guilty of oogling over stolen stuff (i.e. all those boots stolen from Stevie's Marina del Rey condo that I LOVE) but it's still wrong! Hope your friends are able to get their site back up.

I know what site you're talking about but these pictures do NOT come from there. The site's owner, Amber, owns all the photographs and clippings that those scans came from.
I requested some larger versions and she send me superlarge high-quality scans so there's no way they came from that site.
Amber is a really great person while those other site owners contantly troll 7w everytime that subject comes up so I'm not buying that crap about stealing the pictures and that being the reason the site had to be shut down.

Hey Ruth!! It does suck, and it's sickening! The horrible part of all of this, is that this was done by several people who "claimed" to be my friend's- friends.. Stabbed in the back anyone? It's so sad.. and it all really breaks my heart..I'd love nothing more then to see my friend's site go back up.. but I don't know what all that's going to take at this point..

Hey Sanne..
Actually, as stated, I know what the "truth" behind all of this is, from the people these were taken from, and I'm "NOT" getting into any "discussions" on this board, like they did on the other board!! If you or anyone would like to PM me, I'd recommend that..;)

Actually, no... the site owners DON"T "TROLL" ANY board... Maybe that was a part of the 7 wars.. and that's what the consensus was prior.. but I can attest to that one PERSONALLY! She's clearly owned that site for a LOT longer then most of you have been a part of life!:p- And I can also tell you, once again.. I'm not caring what the reason YOU or anyone else feels is the reason the site had to be shut down, as I know why it did! Unless your friend owned the copywrite to those photos, how can anyone be accused of stealing them from her? Technically she's just as guilty as the person who copied them from her because somewhere, someplace she obviously had to copy them herself. The only person who can really complain is the photographer, or the copywrite holder.

She did own all of the copyrights of all of those pictures! She and Herbie go back for years!:) Also, they've been selling on e-bay for many years and have also bought copyrights and pictures from other photographers! This "website" thing isn't something that is a "new" thing to them, as they've had it for ages! Many people here, on this site, as well as in the Stevie/FM community have known them for many, many years. And you can also trust me - when I tell you, firsthand, that someone can "DEFINITELY" be accused of stealing -when you see your own rare photos, that you've paid dearly for, on someone else's website! Again... I'm not going to comment on this any further, as I am not out to bring anything confrontational to this wonderful site! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to PM me!

I'm confused. I looked at that site and I'd say about 97 per cent of those pictures I've seen before on many other sites, and the majority aren't even Herbert Worthington photos.

it's really just the nature of the Internet, you post anything unique out here it's bound to be stolen, resold, stolen again, resold again...so it's not just the original owner with copyrights that being duped, it's also the new owner who thinks he/she now owns it since they also paid top dollar...which is very likely the case here...
a word to the wise...if you want something to stay in your possession do not post it on the Internet...
I have many a time right clicked a pic, photoshopped it, printed it on a great color copier, and tucked it away in my personal collection which is where it stays...but it's very easy for an unscrupulous someone to take the next step and offer it for resale as an original on ebay or somewhere else....
I'm sorry for your friend and I'm sorry for all artists be it singer, writer, photographer, computer programmers who try to maintain their copyrights but Internet is still wild so an artistic person must be aware that their work can easily be stolen out here and where it ends up may not necessarily be the guilty party...
a balance must be struck between getting your work noticed and understanding that that very work will probably be stolen...
I love to write poetry and have posted many poems online but I understand that they may be stolen and claimed as "anothers" but I've done this with eyes wide open. Those poems that are truly close to my heart will stay private and those already published well I've been paid at least once!!!

i totally agree with ur assessment of the situation Bella...anything that's on the net is subject to being ripped off...what most sellers do now is place a stamp (water mark) over the picture which really cut off some of these scammers...oops along comes photoshop and the water mark is gone...as fast as u can do something someone else ruins it...ebay has had this happen too and i feel bad for the owners...u said keep it off the net but how do u do business if u can't show what ur selling? there will always be people out there trying to make a living off of someone elses misfortune...its the nature of the beast...i appreciate the ppl that do give us permission to use their personal photos like Sanne and Alicia and esp Daryl who puts his own collection on photobucket up on each email so we can check it out...take care...pat

Is this girl selling pictures from this site though? I don't see that at all.
All she's done is collect together pictures that have been posted on different sites around the internet, and they are absolutely tiny, you'd have difficulty printing them off or doing anything with them.
And before anyone says "but they're not your pictures" I actually spotted a few pictures that I took myself, not even ones I bought, but came from my own camera, on there. But you know, I posted them on the net. If I didn't want people to see them I wouldn't have uploaded them.

exactly~ i have some rare poloroids of stevie & won't share for this very reason~I have to say your so very very lucky to have those....I do recall in the days of collecting Stevie/Fmac stuff before the Net....you'd get peoples lists.....I do recall Ann Morgan of 'Rumours' fanzine was selling her stuff off and she had poloroids for sale but the price was out of reach to me....how so lucky you must be......I myself used to buy from Sam Ketejian in CA (again before Ebay etc/the net) and he had those pool photos...which I'd gotten but later traded them....I didn't like them.....boring pics to me....and like someone previously said you can't really tell its Stevie......not that I'm doubting Sam he was a good seller of Stevie stuff....he'd been doing it a long time.....but I hated those after I'd gotten them......I do agree those pictures on that web site are hard to 'see'....I also wish they were broken down in catagories or yrs....it'd be easier to view them. Like '81 etc.....just some thoughts....IMO that is..........no offence anyone....

You def. have to be careful what you post on the net. Nothing is sacred. I had a few pics of Stevie totally trashed and F-kd up from her RAL Tour. They were taken in her hotel suite at the Boston Four Seasons [don't even get me started on the state of the Suite by the time she left]. So NOT flattering pics. I didn't trust myself (or some of the ppl who wander in and out of my house) so I gave them to a friend in Hawaii who I do trust and thank God they haven't been spotted so far - nor do I expect they ever will be. Sometimes it's not just about losing revenue but about someone's reputation and image as well.

If they did Pip, then somehow they've managed to get copyright to at least four of the photos I took and a couple that Cammie did too! Plus some of those pictures are obviously scans from magazines. And the girl who runs that site certainly isn't alone in doing that.

I spotted some of yours. I don't know how any one can claim copyright to all of these pictures. Mind you if I'm understanding correctly the person of this site isn't the one claiming copyright as she ask for people to contact her so she can give credit. It's the person whose site the pictures were 'taken' from who is claiming copyright... do I have that correct?

Yep, that's right. I believe Arlene is saying that this girl, Amber I think Sanne said her name was, stole all the pictures from another site that owns the copyright. But they certainly don't own the copyright to my photos! I have no problem with Rhiannonfire.com using my pics personally, especially since they're so small.

I'd be pissed if someone sold my photos on eBay too, Pip! That sucks.
But this girl is just hosting a bunch of tiny pictures I've seen many, many times before, bar a few, on her site and isn't charging anything for it. I can't see the harm in it myself. If she was hosting high-res versions of those rare pictures people paid hundreds of dollars for on eBay then I'd understand the complaint more.

Some of my photos are on that site, too. I'm not sure I understand the "ownership" thing when it comes to photos ~ unless you actually take them yourself. I like to share my photos with other fans, and because of that, I can't be surprised to see them used on other sites -- with or without my permission. I always put my watermark in a spot that doesn't ruin the photo (not across Stevie's face!), but people will still crop the photos down so they watermark doesn't show. I only watermark them to keep people from selling them on eBay. If I'm not going to sell them on eBay, nobody else should be selling them either. That is NOT cool. I'm so sorry that it happened to you, Pip.
I am hoping to get some good photos of the Dreams Unwind tour, and I will be sure to share them with everyone.

Ok.. I'm not saying that "EVERY single picture" that is on this website belong to my friend"... That's not the argument.. Maybe there are some that do belong to others.. as I haven't even been on this site myself to see anything.. What I'm saying is, EVERY single picture that "BELONGED" to my friend's website was used on her website without my friend's permission, and my friend was basically "lied" to by this person... Again, I don't know fine details.. All I know is, it's a bad situation- as my friend's names were basically "Slandered" on 7 for things that they NEVER did.. and yes, I SOOOO agree with what Bella said earlier, as to me, now a days, you SOOOOOOO take your life in your own hands posting ANYTHING at all on the internet! Anything and everything is more or less up for grabs.. and yes, it is done all the time! I've seen very sweet people photo sharing, as Steviefan59 (Pat) said.. that are wonderful people here, who share their pictures with us all the time! Are they asking anything from us, to do so? No... So, this isn't a question of that.. and it's not a question of anything like that..

It does look like she's seemed to have ripped off several more people's pictures as well.. Nice person huh? LOL.. I know you can't "prevent" someone from doing this, if you have your own website.. but geez.. if anyone knows the slightest thing about common courtesy, it sure would be nice to have someone at the very least "ask" your permission! Especially, if I had some very rare, copy-righted pictures which I paid through the nose for! If you would like the information of my friend to contact her regarding this..
Thanks for this sweet post, and I couldn't agree more with what all you said.. Just please be sure and not let your "good" poetry out at all.. It's really sad that things have to be like that.. but what can you do?

BTW, the owner's name of the rhiannonfire hp is NOT Amber, her name is Christy. I've dealed with her several times at eBay. And to my knowledge she buys alot of photos off eBay. Regarding gallery 9 on her site...as I can see she mentioned that many of the photos were taken by the original photographers (she also mentioned yours, Shel!). You can see her note on the upper corner left right beside the Gallery 9 bar. On her frontpage she also says that she will give credit to that person who owns the copyrights. So I don't really know what her mistake is.

It sure would've been nice to be able to have a say in this. So, here we go. I am the owner of rhiannonfire.com I have NOT in ANY WAY stolen anything from anyone. Photos posted are in my actual collection, purchased via ebay, record shows, private sellers, trades.. I do not sell from my site or anything like that. Anyone wants photos credited or removed, I have that clearly stated on there and have no problem either way. The photos are small for webspace purposes and also to prevent anyone from printing copyright photos. I don't claim to own any copyrights to anything on there. They are from my personal collection and this is simply a "fansite". So, I can't see what is so "wrong" about anything.
Arlene, drop me an email please-let me know who I ripped off. I have an idea of who it is, but I am not one to jump the gun. If anyone has any other problems, questions, or concerns....my email is posted on every page. Here it is again for anyone who doesn't feel like hitting the site again:

WOW.. so it looks like she's taken several people's pictures... Did she ask any of you if she could do that? Or give you guys credit for the pictures??
It looks to me like she has just collected pictures online.... like I would imagine most of us do. And then taken the time to post loads of them on a website. She does say on her main page that people should contact her for credit on photos.
As for the other matter on what was taken without permission... I don't really need to know the ins and outs.. I was just curious when I thought you were saying all the pictures on the second website were stolen from your friend. That clearly isn't the case

Hey Pip..
I'll be more than happy to pass it on to you - so you can talk with them! ;)
Hugs,
Arlene
I would hazard a guess that most of us a guilty of right clicking photos online.. even copyright ones if they are posted. I know I have tons of pictures on my computer and I couldn't begin to know who took them, where I saw them etc. I just don't have the time and inclination to build a website and display them online. The pictures on this second site are obviously small the reason to prevent people printing them out and selling them.

I would probably have to go along with that, as I know I've done it too, but I've never been guilty of stabbing someone in the back, all the while calling them "my friend" and stealing EVERYTHING off of their website, which took them YEARS to build, without at least asking permission! Huge difference! ;)

let's see....the website you are speaking of had a "no right click" option....plus she and I WERE friends for years before that. No one stabbed anyone in the back in that situation....(not that it is anyone's business) things just went sour for several reasons on both our parts. I think it's pretty sad though for things to be turned around on me. I was the only person who did NOT take from her site even though she offered me anything from it. Did it occur to you, since you realize we were friends that she and I traded actual photos, therefore I hand scanned them myself and posted them? And as far as graphics, you wouldn't find a single one of hers on mine....I made all mine with the exception of backgrounds and gifs. So, I think perhaps it is wrong to judge me when you don't even know me.

Well, I have to admit, I didn't see the notice you mentioned before I made my comment. I didn't intend for my comment to be an attack, and I apologize if it came across that way :sorry: but on the other hand, cropped versions of my photos were included in that gallery without my knowledge. I certainly don't fault anyone for posting photos on their site that they don't own copyrights to, of course anyone with a website has probably been guilty of that at one point (me included!).

There is perhaps more to this... but I don't see how anyone can be accused of stealing something on a website... unless it has right click disabled.. but then we all know there are ways around that anyway. At the end of the day nothing is sacred online. It's unfortunate that is the case but that's the way it is. I know this from my own personal experiences.
Personally I don't think any of us have a clue what really happens in fall outs between friends because each side is bound to give a distorted view. JMO

Every single picture in my computer collection I got from somebody somewhere on the internet. And I would hope that all of us would right click on every photo we see that we want, at all times. I don't care who took the photo, if it's online it's fair game. Just my opinion.

Well, there are some people who are right and some who are wrong. I also believe if someone is posting his own photos on the internet then he must know that these photos will be right-clicked by several person to put it on the computer, other websites etc. If someone don't want to have these photos circulating around then DON'T put them up. Keep it for your personal collection. If you want to show your photos but don't want to see them anywhere else then there are few ways to keep them there where they are. Put them up with water-marks, or that they can't be right-clicked. There are ways to keep them at the place where they are. But I also agree with Shel: If the photos have copyrights the copyright owner should be asked if the photos can be used. And besides ALL of this around here: WE ARE ALL TRADING! Photos, DVDs, CDs. Tell me ONE person who takes care about ALL copyrights, no matter on which items! Thanks for reading.

Well since I've been posting pictures from my collection online since 1997 I wanted to add my 2 cents. Back in the day when "Running in The Shadows" was active I posted "thousands" of photos from my collection. Most were not taken by myself but some of the concert pics were. At that time I didn't mind people taking any of the photos and using them on their own site as long as my site was given credit. Then some of the pics from Running ended up on E-bay. I was mad and ended up stopping the weekly updates in 2000. Well then Arlene's friend who use to be "my friend" started her own website...and low and behold there were many of the pics from my site on hers. Of course she denied that they were mine but i could tell from the watermarks and the way some of the pics were tinted and cropped. So to me this whole thing is the pot calling the kettle black because she did the same thing. All these years later I started posting pics on the "other" message board..because i got over it. And really she should too because we all know that anything posted on the web can be swiped in a blink of an eye. So yea point being if your worried about people taking your pics then don't post them on the web..period. Now years later I enjoy seeing pics i scanned in being shared because you know what... I got over it.

Arlene, can you not see how unfair it is to accuse someone publicly of stealing and then refuse to back up your claims unless it's in private? Why is it okay to call someone a thief in public but not justify your claims in public?
As for using pictures people don't own the copyright for on their sites, well most of the Stevie/Mac sites on the web would need to be shut down then, including this one (I highly doubt Sanne, MacMan et al own the copyright to the all the pictures they share). I also find it highly unlikely that the girl who ran the Windchild website owned the copyright to the majority of the photos she posted.

That's fine, the only problem is when people take photos from the web that they don't own the copyright to and try and sell them on eBay or wherever. That isn't fair game. As far as I can see though this website isn't posting them for profit.

I can't remember where I found and I don't know what show it is, but it's definately RAL era. Some people suggested that it wasn't a concert from her RAL-tour but an appereance she made on some sort of benefit show with various artists, I really don't know, I wish I did!

One of the things I love most about Stevie fans are how generous they are. People on this board are so willing to trade even with those of us with tiny collections and little to offer ... and then there are those very special and wonderful individuals like SaintBernard, who's posted everything she owns and has asked nothing in return!
Look at Sanne -- she has a really remarkable collection of photographs which she constantly shares with the board, and that's deeply appreciated. She doesn't claim to own the copyright on them, she's just reposting what's already been posted and made available to everyone.
I don't have a collection of photos or boots that I've collected over thirty years, so maybe I'm not qualified to comment, but I'd like to think that if I did, I'd be happy to share it with my fellow fans, instead of holding it close to my chest. At the end of the day we're all fans here, and we all enjoy photos, boots, demos etc. If we can share what we have and bring some happiness to people, why not do it?

1987? I dunno, she still has a bit of that bloated coke-face and I thought that the haircolour (light on top, lower parts darker) was typical for RAL?
Anyway, some more pics from that concert, 2 sans sunglasses:

:)
Thank you for your kind words!
I personally think there's no fun in keeping things for myself, if I find a cool pic I want to share it. And I share so much because I want others to do so as well, if it wasn't for other people sharing my collection wouldnt have been so big. A part of my collection is my own scans from mags & photo's but the largest part is thanks to my amazing right-click-saving skillz

I have spoken to the owner of that website with all the Stevie photos and she told me that they are her pictures. She bought them from dealers, ebay and other places. So I was right on where they came from. You can't expect someone to post photos on this site and not have someone get tempted and right click to save the picture for themselves.....I do have alot of photos from my own private stash and I will admit there were a few pics that I borrowed for my group page from other web sites. People do it all the time. It's a normal thing. I have seen people on this site take photos from ebay with the markings and stuff on them just to display it so we would all have something to talk about. It's the same thing. No one is stealing photos. People borrow them to make there web sites look good and to share with others what pictures are their favorites. That's really what I am doing with my group. I don't have a scanner, so I have to try to find the pictures that I own so I can post them up for show and tell. I just have a little digital camera. That's what I did for that stevie ad that I posted up. I had to take a picture of it to put it here on the ledge, and I am sure that some of you have already right clicked it and saved it. I don't care. I posted it on here to share with everyone. What's mine is yours. People taking pictures from other web sites has been going on for years. There isn't anything anyone can do about it. I am positive that the pictures that are posted on this site have been taken from other people. That's the way it is. Now selling them....that is wrong! That is totally wrong! I saw this guy was selling an autographed photo of Stevie on ebay and it wasn't even her signature! I looked at it and said, "Stevie doesn't write her name like that???!!!" So I emailed the guy on ebay to tell him that he was selling a fake, but I never got a reply and I didn't expect too, because he knew what he was doing was wrong. There are alot of fakes on ebay, I know. I bought that stupid poster from one of them and it really wasn't a poster! It was the cover of BellaDonna cut out to look like a poster from the record.
Well my point is, is that this woman who owns this site told me herself that these pictures are her own. And it is totally understandable why she made them small. She didn't want anyone else to take them. And I think that is very smart of her on her part. Ok. I'm done.:blob1::o:wavey:

1987? I dunno, she still has a bit of that bloated coke-face and I thought that the haircolour (light on top, lower parts darker) was typical for RAL?
Anyway, some more pics from that concert, 2 sans sunglasses:

That doesn't make much sense to me. Someone spends a long time putting up this website for people to enjoy their pictures ... and then makes them tiny so people can't properly enjoy them?

In that first picture especially, with the full face, she looks younger, similar to the way she looked in those 1975 photos you posted. It also has something to do with the fact that she wasn't wearing (or at least it didn't show up on camera) as much make up as she did in those days.

Sorry... but not all of them are. A few were definitely taken by Trackaghost. The site owner says she will give credit for any that aren't her own

What I meant by saying they were "my photos" is that they are my actual photos in my collection, not that I took them. Hence why I give credit to anyone who took any photos on the site. :)

I'm confused - are you saying you actually own real photos of the pictures I took? Because I'll only ever posted them here on The Ledge and never sold them. And I wouldn't mind a credit on Gallery 9 since there are five of my photos on that page.

Yes, everything on my site are "real" photos. I do ALOT of trading and don't always get the sources/photographers, etc. I will gladly credit you on Gallery 9, no problem at all! :) Do you just want me to put "trackaghost" or do you want your real name up there?

Obviously someone printed out your great photos Sharon and either sold or traded them. Maybe it was the same person who sold mine on ebay!

I guess you're right. What a crappy thing to do to another fan.

My boyfriend knows that he's seen a topless photo of stevie long time ago. He informed me that there is one out there somewhere. But I don't believe it. Stevie did alot of crazy things in the past but I don't think she would do that????. And yes it looks chilly where she was at, then again....is she even wearing a bra? If she is she's not wearing one with padding that's for sure.:]

It looks like a mannequin. Which reminds me that it's a shame that no wax museum has done Fleetwood Mac (that I know of). I would love to see that.
