http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNUXge00IXoThis is interesting because just as it starts, you think it's more midcult; but as it progresses, you can see & hear that it's really more masscult (see Dwight Macdonald's "Against the American Grain" for descriptions). It combines -- like a MixMaster -- Riverdance attack, Yanni-like spectacle, magazine-model sex, the vaguest hint of classical music cachet, the proper speed & multiple climaxes for today's antsy audiences (the Pong & XBox Generations), & marketing up the wazoo.
It will probably be the Next Big Thing at both indoor & outdoor theaters around the world, as well as on PBS pledge drive programs.
There's a classical violinist popular today -- I can't remember her name but I think she's Asian -- who dresses like this in concert & on her CD covers. Her star is rising, rising, rising.
Thanks for sharing it, tui! :wavey:

I think that may be the one, yes. She is scantily clad on many of her CD covers. I don't know what her sales are.
