Debbie Gibson type vocals from Louise on this (she was only a teen at the time) however, the production on this is wonderful. This is exactly how the music would have sounded if Stevie had recorded it during the Bella Donna or Wild Heart sessions.

Hey Phoenix,
Oh you don't know me do you? :)
Not that you should necessarily, but I'm a huge Kylie fan. I also VJ part time in DC - 7 years this May. I've hosted many Kylie CD release parties and even a few Stevie parties at the club. I just had a Kylie party this past weekend. Check out this thread:

Kylies does well but America has yet to catch on. I doubt they will. Radio pretty much sucks here. Unless you have a rapper in tow (and I like some rap so I'm not dissing it) you don't seem to get any radio play. Even Gwen and Nelly F had to compromise their sound for radio time. It's a shame. That is why I like Kylie, she knows who she is and is content with the success she has. But I do wish she would at the very least do a tour of the US in some fashion. Whether it be big club venues for her gay fans or be bold and do 2 really big shows at Madison Square Garden in NY. The US fans would flock to see her.

Thats soo true about radio. One other thing i dont get is why her audience is so limmitted here. In australia gay/straigt/old/young whoever is just like oh that Kylie, doin her thing gotta love er. no matter who u are. But yeah, thats probabally going back to the radio thing also, and no body else would know who she is here cause shes not overexposed on radio and mtv, ect. shes not a national star here that people kinda grew up with.

Sharon's bg vocals on this track are stellar! One time I heard it on cassette in a car w/ really good speakers and I was really impressed w/ Sharon's contribution. Actually too, it was the 1st time I had really heard her on the track.

I listened to this again today, and then also the demo and outtake versions, and finally the released one with Sheryl Crow. Every once in a while, an artist creates something that is wonderful and makes people happy, and just makes you remember why you like them in the first place. This is, to me, that kind of a creation.

I love the harmonies at the end and in my opinion, these are some of Stevie's best ever lyrics.
