What is in this picture? It looks like King Kong's Hand grabbing the top of the Empire State Building.I think it's just goofball Tusk graphics. Do you have the vinyl album or the songbook? There are some shots of Lindsey & Mick pooping about (Mick's beard is shaven so it's 1978) in front of the Village Recorder, in the parking lot maybe. The outside of the studio seems to have (or have had) some sort of big billboard or something with the picture of the freeway overpass (I-5 & Antelope Valley Fwy) that crumbled in the 1971 Sylmar (San Fernando) earthquake.

Also, John was pretty hep to his Hawaiian shirts in the old days. He wore a Hawaiian shirt at the final concerts on the Tusk tour. You should be able to track down shots of him at those concerts with his pineapples & palm trees on his shirt, cavorting with Stevie & Lindsey, holding his bass, fingering it deftly, up & down, up & down the fret board, pluck pluck pluck, cluck cluck.

This was definately a "picture" mural on the side of the Village Recorder studio. You can see it in the Tusk Tour Documentary videotape. However I always viewed this as a grand piano cut in half, showing us the inside of the instrument. Makes sense to me considering it's on the side of a building that houses a recording studio!

It's actually from the Tusk tourbook, it's on one of the collage pages. I can't scan it right now but the pic with the hand is just a smaller photo of Mick and Lindsey with someone holding his hand in front of the lens.

New installment. I call this one Billy the Kid, because Mick (with his red kerchief and style of hat) reminds me of Billy the Kid.

I would like to find a photo of each MAC member with a cigarette in his/her hand. We know it will easy with John, Christine and Lindsey, but Stevie and Mick? AND -- how many smokers can we find in ONE PHOTO??

I am off to check my external hard drive and that wonderful place they call the Internet.

(BTW....I bought Jenny Boyd's 1992 book about musicians and the creative process, used off Amazon. It has 2 page commentary on the efficiency of a joint, when creating music, attributed to Mr.B. I think I will dig out the quote and post in the the LB forum. Wouldn't it be fun to find pic's of "the funny little cigarettes" aka joints? I wonder if any exist, besides the Halloween one?) :D

Well technically those aren't photographs of Stevie but stills. One is from the making of the Little Lies video , I'm not sure where the other is from looks like an interview, maybe OSOTM era.
Stevie can also been seen smoking at the beginning of "Everywhere" from the Tango concert video.

Anyone know what that mag is John is reading? For some reason I always thought it was supposed to be a Playboy mag, but it doesn't look like it from there!

Mick looks like he's either gone back to smelling his armpit there or become enamoured with Lindsey's feet.

Never seen other versions of this pic. Someione over at 7W has contact with the photographer, Herbert Worthington, and asked him about that photo. He said it was at some club where they were playing that evening and they were just walking throught the building and posing for photos here and there.
I would love to see those other photos but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

They started touring in May, & the album didn't come out until July.

I would love to see those other photos but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.I'd rather have an album of that show at the club.

Lindsey has a mustache but no beard. Are there any other photos of the group where is he mustache only?

I have a DVD with a segment called Fleetwood Mac Baseball Team. Chris has a jersey that says "McVee" (misspelled) on the back of it and is wearing a cap. There's "Dashut" on the back of another jersey. The segment talks about how FM's team won.

I don't think there was a FM baseball game, just a photo taken before, or after a '78 concert and they were just playing around a bit, I guess?The radio stations in Los Angeles used to do celebrity softball games for charity. Mick played on the celeb teams a couple of times back in the Mirage days.

Well technically those aren't photographs of Stevie but stills. One is from the making of the Little Lies video , I'm not sure where the other is from looks like an interview, maybe OSOTM era.
Stevie can also been seen smoking at the beginning of "Everywhere" from the Tango concert video.

Never seen other versions of this pic. Someione over at 7W has contact with the photographer, Herbert Worthington, and asked him about that photo. He said it was at some club where they were playing that evening and they were just walking throught the building and posing for photos here and there.
I would love to see those other photos but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

This photo always made me think Stevie was a natural brunette, when I was a kid. Not until many years later when I saw a childhood pic of her did it dispel that myth from my mind. It still seems charming to me though, a simple blouse with what appears to be trousers. Much more grounded looking than what she was soon to create for herself as a stage 'look'.

I've found these pictures online, a photoagency had that date on the info for the pics. But in general, it's very hard to find photo's with dates for the white album tour, the Rumours tour is better documented and there's lots of pics & dates for Tusk concerts but unfortunately almost nothing for 1975 (one of the reasons I find pictures from that tour so interesting)

There's also this pic that always seemed so strange to me, Stevie just looks weird for some reason. Doesn't look like she's wearing chiffon here either, just a black top:

Today's feature is John with his penguin shirt. I think it's the same shirt, one of the the photos was printed with a reversed negative. In the b/w photo he's wearing a kimino over the top of the shirt, but I believe it is the same shirt.

That was a weird Rolling Stone photo shoot. The whole thing with the sword fight and shooting an arrow, apple on the head . . . What was the photographer's problem? What was he going for? You can create a frolicsome air for the band without getting demented about it.

I think they all look pretty good. Christine looks very happy, rested and content with life. Mick, however, looks like he just got done working a shift at TGIFriday's. John doesn't change expression. Same with Stevie. Lindsey? Why the knee boots? And why does he look like he's past due for his scheduled medication?

The whole idea of adding instruments to the second photo, just doesn't work for me.

I am still pretty new around here. I didn't know the ones with the apple and fencing existed. And, unless I joined the Ledge, I didn't know the DANCE TOUR existed, even though I had bought the video on vhs and the CD.

I see the same photos over and over in magazines that to see other variations is fun.

I wonder who the little bridesmaids were, if any sort of relative.

There is a photo of the whole band. Christine and Stevie are seated in wicker chairs with large rounded backs. I can't find the photo right now, but have seen it in b/w & color. Does anyone know the photo I am describing?

Another Rolling Stone Shoot

It wasn't until I joined the Ledge that I discovered the other band members existed in this picture. I thought it was taken with only Mick and Stevie. (Unfortunately, I don't have the full photo.)

While the cropping is stunning, had I been Christine, John or Lindsey, I would have been disappointed when I saw the cover.

Anyone got variations?

There is a photo. (1976 ?) B & W. Stevie has on a top hat. Mick is to the left of her. I don't remember where John is positioned, but Christine is standing next to Lindsey, like she is whispering something to him. He has his guitar in hand and is looking sideways at the camera - a brooding sort of look. I have seen it a bzillion times and have been trying to find it. I was wondering if there were variations of that photo. There might be a Fleetwood Mac banner off to the left hand side, to the left of Mick.

But after re-reading that paragraph, I think I am describing any number of photos. Guess, I gotta start searching the web again, to find the real one.

(P.S. It's Friday and the workpace is nuts! I am hanging out here, where it is safe. ;))

I love that picture.

Is it just me or does Lindsey look ENORMOUS in that picture? He looks as tall as Mick. I'm sure it's from him being closer to the camera or he's in big ole boots, but that really threw me for a loop.

Not to mention that's a kick ass photo all around.
