Stevie is featured in the May Issue of Q Magazine. Apparantly, she is giving a very candid interview...hopefully it will be more revealing than her past interviews last year.

A preview of her interview is at the bottom of the page.

"Stevie Nicks - the first lady of Fleetwood Mac" - ??? What was Christine, chopped liver?! How very rude and ignorant.

I digress, thanks for letting us know!

Technically La Nicks is the only female in FM and it has been that way since 1997. So, that title is correct

But - for decades the media has referred to her on simnilar terms, my favorite being "the voice" of Fleetwood Mac. She has the most distinctive voice in all versions of FM, but by far not the only good voice.

I think Christine's voice is quite distinct. When I am in a din of people and there is FM playing over the public speakers, I can recognize Christine's voice before I can make out what song it is. And I don't think there's anyone else who sounds like Christine. If you know what Chris sounds like, then there's no chance of mistaking anyone else for her. It's just that more people have an idea of what Stevie sounds like than Christine. Stevie's voice, background or lead, is more dominant and that and its tone, makes it an acquired taste for some.

Depends on how you define the words first lady. If you're putting the emphasis on the word first, then it's Christine. If you're using the two words as a phrase, then it is Stevie. And since we're in the middle of an election year... well, okay.. I'll give it to you -and them, if that's the way it was intended. :p
