If this is true, It's about 80% I'll go to these 2 shows plus Boston. Is the venue shes suppposed to be playing at the 2,400 seat one? and for people that saw here there last year, how much were tix?

Their site says it holds 3,700 peeps - the only other venue is the music box which holds 1,000 so it's more then likely the event centre.

Last time she was at the larger one, and I paid 125 for my ticket at the Borgata.

I was thinking this schedule makes sense in that we all know how much Stevie loves Boston, so she'el have a couple days off there after the show, and (I'm putting my Nostradamus hat on as we speak) I'm thinking Scranton or Holmdel or Camden for a couple shows after that. We'el see if I'm right. (That's a scary thought!)

She does a million dates in California every year. The East Coast deserves some dates (and Europe, but we all know that will never happen).

If these dates are indeed happening, it's rather surprising that she would be playing two nights at the Events Center, especially since she just played there in August and October (which was not exactly sold out) last year. Even Eric Clapton is only doing one night there. And back in 2005 when she played two nights there (her first solo tour since 2001), the place was literally half empty each night.
She'd better have an amazing opening act this time!

i hear that, she has totally blown of the midwest where i live the past 3 tours~
i have to travel to see her & tho i love my stevie & i do it, it certainly gets old~ the mac played here during say you will, they were the 2nd band at our new venue & sold out & said they loved playing here~
we have 2 other much smaller venues that she would be fabulous at & if she is doing the outdoor thing again, we have that too, but we keep getting blown off:distress:~

I left for AC, with no tickets, in 2005. An hour and a half before the show started, I got third row from the box office. I ended up sitting in the front row because half of it was empty. (prolly comps who didn't show up) I felt sort of bad for her as the place was literally less than half full, both nights. The Borgata is a cool place to see Stevie but security can be bast*ards. I am curious why she is playing Reading in April and back to the east coast again in June/July. Reading is sort of the middle of nowhere........about two hours from NYC and an hour and a half from Philly. A bit of a strange itinerary.

The outdoor venue FM played in doesn't seem to exist anymore.
So, it's the Event Center.
And I'm really annoyed at the way this tour has been announced. Two concerts in one month. Then nothing for the next month, and then three nights in a row? What are the chances of Stevie actually having a voice left by the time she hits Boston?
She better stock up on the Ricola:laugh:

Borgata was great in 2005 because the comp people in row 1 -2 sat still in their seats, allowing us in 3 up to the front. I made friends with a security guy who helped me to the front, right in front of jana and sharon. THe center front guard was MEAN though!

My husband & I probably will not go this year & see her @ The Borgata. We saw her last year there, & she will probably do the same set list as last year. Besides, got to start saving for the Mac tour next year (with or without Sheryl).

There is a billboard on the Walt Whitman Bridge also, coming from Philly to NJ.

the tickets are too expensive.
They are expensive. And, unless you're a local or willing to drive back and forth, Atlantic City hotels for Friday and Saturday nights are horrendously expensive. What will cost you less than $100 during the week, will run about $250-$350 over the weekend. And, if you gamble...well, pretty much expect to spend A LOT of money there.
I've done it before, but--since I already got a ticket elsewhere, I will pass on the Borgata this time. But, in general, it's a really, really nice place to see her (or anyone, really). Actually, I think it's my favorite place to see her.

A friend of mine and I are going to the show on the 21st I think.
Since the rooms are expensive, does anyone have any suggestions on where to get a good room that is safe and more affordable? Or are there people sharing a room? Those room rates are crazy expensive.
Regina
03-31-2008, 02:14 PM
I looked it up, Sandy.
The Showboat has a room for $199 (that's the cheapest, it seems, among the Harrah's group of hotels). Then the Trump Marina also has one for $199. (This is all "cheap" for a Friday in Atlantic City. I didn't even look up the Saturday rates.
There are cheaper hotels/motels right outside of Atlantic City/in the side streets, but I can't recommend anything (I don't drive so I've pretty much had to stick to the boardwalk) and I'd be very careful about booking anything without someone else recommending the place to you. I did that one time, a very long time ago in a hotel just off the B'walk, and ended up in such a dive, that I took the bus home that night instead of staying there. And that was for safety reasons, not even taking into account the black mold in the tub.
Anyone else stayed somewhere not that expensive?

Thanks Regina. I plan to really live it up on the 20th. My friend and I are gonna have fun on this road trip. Traveling from VA to NJ and blasting Stevie all the way. I am really looking forward to seeing Stevie in a smaller venue.
Wish it was the smaller one, but hey one can't complain about 3700 seat capacity when you are used to large outdoor venues or huge arenas. It is more intimate and I am sure it will be memorable.

Greetings all.
The presale that started this morning, password = COMCAST3, "guaranteed" the best seats in the house would be available. NOT!!!
Nothing in the 300's came up, and the best in the 200's and 400's was 12th row.
Top price for floors and lowers = $125.00.

^ I got the email about the presale the other day but didnt even post about it because it wasnt worth people getting their hopes up and trying to make special plans for a Thursday morning...all the other Borgata presales I ever tried were always a bust...(as well as almost every other presale anywhere for that matter)

There were better tickets at 4:30 PM Saturday than the first 2 hours of the sale. Total joke. Best I saw was section 400 row 5, seats 9 & 10. I only saw one pair of 300's and they were in row 18. I was only looking for the Saturday show.
Here's hoping for a Philly or Metro NYC date announcement soon.

Row 18 in section 300 is actually pretty good. The view anyway. The tickets that were coming up were much better than anything that came up for Mohegan Sun for me. I ended up getting 4th row in section 100. Better did come up yesterday like you said, but it's cool because the Borgata will exchange the tickets for better seats the day of the show, if they are available.

I got an upgrade last year at the Borgata, but I'm not sure which date it was now. Perhaps they just didn't have seats available to upgrade to. How can you be sure no one got an upgrade?

Yeah, they didn't upgrade for my husband & I either. Well, they had some seats that were pretty far back in the middle though & since we were far far left, but 4th row, we just stayed put. Doesn't hurt to try to upgrade anyway.

The show I was at was the one with Chris. I think it was June 16th? I went to the box office and asked if they upgraded tickets about an hour or two before the show, and the man I spoke to said "Well, let me see if anything is available" then he showed me what he had on a seating chart and I went from I think 14th row off to the side, to I think 8th row center. I don't see why they would stop doing that? Chances of them selling the seats an hour or two before the show are slim, and I think it's better for the artists ego to have the front of the house filled in. Never hurts to ask though, you may have just gotten someone who was new, or having a bad day or something.
