I thought it might be fun to have a thread dedicated to Weird Stevie Coincidences. I'll give an example, maybe that'll be easier than explaining.

I just watched a Youtube video of Stevie performing "Stand Back" on the Ellen Degeneres show. Then I watched a video of a group called "Linus Loves" performing Stand Back - it was "Linus Loves featuring Sam Obernik." Curious, I did a search on Wikipedia, and scrolled down and saw this:

"Stevie Nicks
Nicks was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in [[Phoenix, Arizona|Phoenix]], [...
...[June 10]], [[1983]]. The album featured much the same cast of musicians and producers, but it also int... "

So how about YOU!? What Weird Stevie Coincidences have you had?

I have a very good one. Back on The Dance tour, I was at the show in Cincinnati on October 3, and the morning after, getting ready to leave for the Detroit show that night I noticed someone had left a note on the windshield of my car. It said "I was at last nights show too! Dreams Unwind." Ok so I take the note and save it KNOWING I'll never see this person right? Well fast forward to Stevie's Enchanted show in Chicago the next May and I was milling around in the concession area when I noticed a lady with a jean jacket on with a beautiful picture of Stevie airbrushed on the back of it. I went up to her and we started chatting. When I explained to her that I was from Minnesota her eyes grew really wide and she asked what my liscence plate read. When I told her FMACFAN, she went OMG OMG I was the one that left the note on your window before the Cincinnati Dance show. Now what are the odds of that. Oh and btw, that person is Alicia from Chicago. People here know her as Haunted Song.

Strandie and I were in Detroit for the last Fleetwood Mac show. We had gotten lost and ended up in some local steakhouse that looked to be straight out of the Sammy, Frank and Deano era. We were sitting there bitching about things Stevie when all of a sudden Thrown Down came on. We both kind of looked at the ceiling thunderstruck and stopped trash talkiing immediately. It totally freaked us out. I'd heard Peacekeeper a lot on the radio but hearing Thrown Down was just so completely random.

Hello, David! :xoxo: Yes...that was very bizarre. I was so happy that I wasn't the only world traveler when it came to seeing Stevie! It was pretty strange that you picked me out of the crowd in Chicago...especially at that huge venue. It was just meant to be!

Mine happened during the 2003 FM tour. I live in Fort Worth and went to OKC show. I posted my story about getting to talk to Stevie for a moment when they did their bow. A girl relpied in my thread and said that she had some pic's from that show and she snapped one of a girl hugging stevie. It was me ~ that was cool. But the neatest part is that were are both from Texas ~ about 30 miles from each other, both of us are named Catherine, same birth order, same taste in music and we both traveled to Oklahoma to see her. I thought it was so cool. :p

How much time have you got? Seriously, I could write pages on all the weird Stevie and FM coincidences in my life.

Here's a couple doozies:

First week of August 1998: Moving from an apt. I lived in for 11 years into the house I bought - making the final trip w/ the last full carload of stuff. That whole week, I'd been dealing with carpet and tile guys, painting, getting friends with pick-up trucks to help me, etc. It was hectic and it hadn't really sunk in yet that I was embarking on a new chapter in my life. As I turned onto the street just before MY street, Rhiannon came on the radio and I burst into tears. It had finally hit me. :)

EVERY time I go to Pei Wei, either Fleetwood Mac or Stevie is blaring on the outdoor PA. I don't know if it's Pei Wei's music or the restaurant next door, but I'm not kidding. Happens EVERY time.

One of my favorite 'Stevie Coincidences' happened back around '94... when I lived in Ft. Worth TX. One night I was going to a cookout with my brother and his wife. They were both in the front seat of the car, and my brother was driving the car... I was sitting in the back seat. We were listening to a Dallas radio station, when Stevie's song "Stand Back" came on the radio. Well my brother thought he would tease and aggravate me by turning the radio to another station so I couldn't hear the song. And the next radio station he turned it to, was playing Fleetwood Mac "Gypsy" ~. And so he quickly turned it to a third radio station and it was playing Stevie's "Edge of 17"... LOL... My brother was looking at me through the rear-view mirror as he was turning all the radio stations, with this "panic look of disbelief"... that Stevie songs were playing on all 3 radio stations at the same time. It freaked him out so bad I thought he was going to run off the road.. LOL... It was hilarious. Me and my sister in-law laughed at him about that for about a week... LOL!!!
What are the chances of Stevie songs being played on 3 different radio stations at that same random time. Talk about 'Karma'~...

Donnie Wayne ~
