How very odd is it that barely 40 years to the date, I am going to attend the 2nd ever presidential rally in my life. I feel a bit hypocritical this time because my primary vote won't be his, but if he wins... I'd at least like to know what he's saying, because so far... I haven't paid attention. :sorry:
I Googled the date of my first presidential rally, June 2, 1968. It was at the Strawberry Festival. Three days later, he was assasinated. I was nine years old. Incidentially, it was my widely held memory that event cancelled. I found web articles with recollections of him being at that event. musta been another case of parental BS.

You're going to the rally at the Coliseum this morning? I have tickets, but I'm still on the fence. I'm sure the place will be packed, though

He being Bobby Kennedy?
Yup. Even at 9 years of age, well those feelings will be hard to forget. I hung on to my pin for years, it finally got lost in the shuffle of too many moves.

I went to the armory, so not quite the crowd as the Coliseum. I was on the fence too, only participating for the historical factor. It was fun and I'm glad I went. I also documented the campaign promises, for posterity and fun. :woohoo:
Did you go? The crowd in Salem was not bad; orderly, not too slow.
