This is why I don't like lists. I can't choose, and then I forget things.

The Scarlet EmpressIt's funny you put that one on because I was going to put it on my list, too -- that or "Morocco." You're reading my mind! I decided not to put that one on my list because I didn't want to knock anything else off, & I hate it when people ask for TEN & some bozo gives them ELEVEN.

Trainspotting . . . .

Easily one of the better films of this age. Disturbing as hel though.

I have too many to list, but some are Sunset Blvd., Gone With the Wind, Cavalcade, all of the fairly recent Jane Austin flicks, Age of Innocence (just beautiful) and so on.

David

I'd also like to ask David's opinion on Max Ophuls' 1948 film Letter From An Unknown Woman.Pretty good!

"Madame de ..." is one of my favorite movies. If we had done a Top 20, I'd stick that on there somewhere.

Also, I have been to the Grass Valley house of Lola Montez. It's on Mill Street in downtown Grass Valley. It's a museum & worth seeing!

Max's son Marcel created one of the great documentaries of our time -- The Sorrow & the Pity. Romy admires that film, too. Where is Romy?

Wise words, I agree, but I also think that one likes a movie according the moment and the age. That's why I included Grease or Titanic. MAybe today I have other favorites, but I tried to list the movies that I wanted to see lot of times at that moment, plus the movies I will always love, like Priscilla or Moonstruck.
