Oh thank God it finally came. The coming of the longer days always means a decrease in my mood issues...now here in NYC, we'll start to see hyacinths and daffodils popping their heads through thr soil, and buds on the trees. A more 'hopeful' feeling. Still, the rest of March can be just as awful as January and even April can be kooky (I'm remembering a late Spring semester blizzard in April with almost 2 feet of snow in a region where 6" is alot).

Daylight Saving Time, remember -- not savings (although it's good to have plenty of savings in the bank).
Thanks for the reminder, Kathy. As for who observes, it's not a matter of personal choice. In the USA I believe all states but Indiana, Arizona, and Hawaii observe DST. If I have missed a state please correct me.
In the "old" days DS started the first Sunday of April and ended the last Sunday of October...seven full months...now it's eight months. Anyone remember when Jimmy Carter put the country of DS year 'round to supposedly save energy?

Indiana now observes... I hated it at first, but it's actually pretty cool. I've never had to worry about it. Thank God there's only 2 clocks in the house I really have to change... then the car, and it's a bitch changing that one! haha!

DS gets on my nerves. Honestly, I'm not a clock freak or anything, but this is getting out of hand...
1. Laptop (? - unless XPs auto-update feature took care of it)
2. The clock in my music room
3. The clock on my shower radio*
4. The clock on my vanity
5. The TWO alarm clocks on my dresser
6. The clock on the wall in the dining room
7. The clock on the stove*
8. The clock on the microwave*
9. The clock on the coffee pot
10. The clock on the thermostat
11. The clock on the TV in the bedroom*
12. The clock on the TV in the living room
13. The clock on the dash in the car
14. The clock on the fireplace mantle*
15. The clock on the telephone*
16. The clock on my treadmill*
17. My watch
18. Oh, and the clock on the VCR
* - these are the clocks I quit changing because they're incidental. Although it took some "training" to ignore some and not others.
