I need your help. How I Met Your Mother is my FAVORTIE TV show and CBS is looking to cancel it. Please read on if you would like to help out our save our show campaign:
If you're a big fan of quality funny sitcoms, you may already be a fan of CBS' underappreciated sitcom, How I Met Your Mother. For the second year in a row, this show is on the bubble. Last year, CBS only renewed it because it generated a lot of buzz amongst the network's assistants. This year, some of us at E! Online, decided to do something about this. We would like to send sparklers to CBS, with a note that says, "Even Robin Sparkles would want you renew How I Met Your Mother for another legendary season." To do this, we are looking to raise money to buy the sparklers. You can help us by clicking on the Donate button above so we can reach our goal. Any amount helps, and you can check back often for updates. We can't let a show that's so full of awesome be canceled!

I will only if you help save Las Vegas or just until they stop leaving us hanging with a "to be continued . . " last month & then cancel the show :distress: What is up with that? This is why I hate watching sitcoms now a days. Is it any wonder people watch reality shows? They always end, don't get canceled in mid-season & there are no cliff-hangers.

Lee ~ I agree with you 100%. I think that the suits that make these decisions have never watched these shows. Getting involved with a tv show is a commitment. Forget the two hours you give to a movie ~ a tv show is something that you cherish and keep going back too. I like Vegas and will see if I can find a petition for you. I also like Jericho and the nuts campaign brought it back from the dead for 7 more shows but they are 3 into them and I have a feeling it won't be picked up either.
I think the changes they made to the Vegas cast really hurt the show. I love Tom but I don’t think it’s a good fit.

Britney is going to be guest staring in an upcoming episode. This alone will boost ratings to high heavens and save the show.

Oh, agree with you about the cast changes. It went downhill after that. Yeah, Tom was good in Magnum, P.I., but this show wasn't for him. I would just like at least a wrap up. Don't leave everyone hanging.
That's for posting the petition link. I'll sign it & the one also for How I Met Your Mother. I might have to watch it when Britney makes her appearance. That may be a train wreck though.

This is a horrible show. If the Britney ratings "bump" doesn't help things, I'm sure it will be canceled. Thank goodness.

The ratings were over 9 million on the 17th & 10 million last night and Should be more then enough to secure next season. That makes me happy. Sorry to the haters ~ I have more Marshmellow to look forward too!! :D

I have only seen HIMYM a few times, but I liked it. I hope it gets renewed!
I know how you feel in regards to cancellation and frickin' CBS. Moonlight comes back in one month and we are desperately trying to get the ratings up. Petitions, voting, writing/emailing CBS, MySpace bulletins, making fanvids, emailing friends/family, commenting on blogs, etc. It's like a part-time freakin' job and I really think CBS owes the fans some cash for our promotional work. LOL
The Nielsen ratings thing is a joke and a half too. Stupid way to find out what Americans watch.
BTW, please watch Moonlight when it returns on April 18th (rerun of the last episode) and 25th (brand new episode)!! If you need a reason why...here you go: ;)

YAY!! Thanks so much! :D
The thing is, it shouldn't be a lot of work. :distress: That just pisses me off when these ginormous companies that have buttloads of cash want the fans to do their dirty work. Our job should only be to watch a TV show and buy the sh*t they show on the commercials. LOL But no, it's a friggin' war these days to keep shows on the air. :( They have no patience or sense when it comes to promoting the GOOD shows.

It kind of did. I do think it's a clever and amusing show. Her appearance was funny. But I seriously wanted to hurl with all of the gushing over it on the entertainment news shows. They were on when I was at the gym last night with talk of Britney maybe getting a TV show and what not. I'm like, you've got to be kidding me. If that happens, that's it, I'm out. The apocalypse is soon to follow.

^ Yeah, she was OK & everything, but she really didn't DO much. I actually thought that ep was one of their weaker ones.

Right, just because you actually do something sober that doesn't make it wonderful. I only saw the show with captions at the gym so I didn't get a full feel for the performance but I thought the character they created for her was funny.

Heyyyy sweet... I don't have cable, but will be on a little trip in New York State and will have cable at my hotel during this weekend!! LOL I've signed the petitions and all, but not having cable, to be honest I don't even know if it's on up here in Canada at all. ;) Regardless, I'll be sure to watch it because I CAN! :)
The other two shows, again no cable so I haven't seen. But it's so true, EVERYTHING gets cancelled anymore. I swear, I don't remember it ever being this bad...I feel old talking this way, but I seem to recall that shows used to get MUCH more of a chance and not get cancelled after, like, a season or less. Anymore, they don't even give the shows time to build up a storyline and therefore an audience! :distress:

Hey Bree!! Hope you've been well. :)
I think the show is on in Canada, but don't know what channel it would be on.
Glad you'll be able to watch when you are in NY!! I'm going to Los Angeles to the Paley Center to see/hopefully meet the cast of the show in a couple of weeks. I cannot WAIT to see Alex in person! :D
