Your list is delicious, every last bit of it.

My Fear Factor Food list consists of:

1. Reptile
2. Primate
3. Insect

I couldn't eat the liver of anything, but aside from that I thought your list was ok - not appetising but edible.

I don't eat/drink the following EVER!

Mushrooms - why the hell do people eat fungus/fungi
Prawns, crab, lobster - they eat the most disgusting things on the sea floor and should carry a public health warning
Celery
Milk of any variety but goats milk is the worst & milkshakes
Mango
Corn in any shape or form
Carrots

But then I have lots of other rules that apply to food.

Toast - I can only eat toast with marmalade on it and it has to be lemon/lime.

I can only eat strawberry jam - no other is acceptable.

I can only eat lamb when it has mint sauce with it.

The thread isn't long enough to list them all - you've probably got the idea:).

Man. You are PICKY. I guess we all are. I don't care for mushrooms, but I'll eat them. Milk is ok...but I prefer chocolate milk if I'm just gonna drink it. I wouldnt just drink a glass of regular milk. I love carrots...steamed or the little baby ones you can dip in ranch or sour cream. I do like seafood...but I dont like the slimy stuff...oysters, etc. Toast is great with just butter, peanut butter, strawberry jelly. Marmite is DISGUSTING (sorry you Ozzies and Kiwis)...And the one thing I really hate is yams/sweet potatoes. The smell of them makes me yack.

The most vile, puke smelling, disgusting processed garbage "cheese" product. If you light a match too close to it, it will explode, that's how fake and processed it is. OH GOD IT SUX!!!!! I wouldn't be surprised if there is plastic listed in the ingredients.
I think it's safe to say I loathe the crap! :D

I agree MARMITE is revolting (it's a British thing) VEGEMITE (the Oz/NZ thing) is miles better :D
Alive creepy crawley things would probably freak me out, you know witchy grubs and the like, but hey, I like most stuff, but then I haven't gone exotic animaly much

Brandon...why are you coming to Manchester? Seems an odd place to visit, are you on holiday in the UK?

Hiya! I have plans to come to Manc-land in the fall (Sept or Oct--not sure yet). My friend Chris Handley lives there (he was one of my flatmates in NZ) and I've never been to the UK...so why not eh?

Even back when I was a carnivore, I could never get myself to eat tuna from a can. Even if mixed with mayo and celery and onions by my mother's expert hands. The smell could have me running out of the house for fresh air.

I have an aversion to 'Circus Peanuts' candy, that you find in bags on the lowest shelf of the candy aisle in the grocery store. I ate one once when I was about 12, and the nausea haunted me the entire day until finally I was able to puke in the evening. I felt worlds better after that, and vowed not only would I never eat a circus peanut again, I would never handle them either or even think about them.

Circus Peanuts are pure, concentrated Evil.

Blood sausage is on mine too, we were served it in Kenya but I wouldn't eat it. Ew. I'm not very picky but I don't like certain textures. I'm not crazy about roasted red peppers if they are long because I might as well be eating a worm, which I can't eat. Ew. I don't like water chestnuts unless they are finely chopped in something. And I don't like cooked celery, yuck.

Hey ..sounds great, always nice to be invited somewhere different. I found Manchester actually quite agreeable...all the big brand shops, and theyv'e got trams, and done up the old paper mill there into a movie theatre/restaurants..I was quite impressed, worth a looksee.Hopefully the weather at that time of year will be ok too, not too rainy...or is that Liverpool? Anyway, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Yeah Brandon it is worth getting to see either Manchester United or City play whilst you're in town. There is a link on their websites for overseas visitors - the icon comes up when the site recognises the US browser. There isn't anything in the world like the atmosphere at a top Premiership football match - you really want to try and experience that.

I gotta say, not only would I eat the majority of stuff people are listing here, I LIKE the majority of stuff people are listing here! There's not a green vegetable I wouldn't eat and the only one I even come close to disliking is okra, but it's not so bad I couldn't get it down.

I really think my only issues would come with eating anything moldy or curdled, anything that's part of an animals stomach/intenstines/heart or anything that's has fur/legs/is still alive.

LOL.. Sorry Stew.. :p- I DO however LOVE most of the other "goodies" in England! I'm a Fish and Chips hound.. LOLOL.. Plus- all of the great chocolates, and biscuits.. OMG.. And of course, Gamon Steaks are brilliant! I sure wish they would have something similar here, in the States.. Unfortunately, when I came back to Houston after the last trip to England, asking the butcher if they had "Gamon" steaks, he just looked at me like I was from a different planet.. LOL.. The closest thing we have here are pork chops, or a pork roast..

anything that swims or lives in water. no tuna. no catfish. no lobster, shrimp..blah.hate all of it.

Me. Too. Any type of seafood is on my automatic "NO, HELL NO" list. Gag. Barf. Shudder. And there are people who say **** like, "oh but ___ doesn't smell or taste fishy". Those people are liars. It all smells like whorecrotch. There's no way I'm going to taste it to find out.

Meaty stuff. I eat white meat chicken and white meat turkey some (mostly in restaurants when i'm out with other people), but other than that, no meat for me.

Mayonnaise. Get that crap away from me. Gross.

Kraut. OKAY WTF? Let's bury this and let it rot. Then, lets dig it up and eat it. I don't think so, dude.

Anything "pickled". Relish. Cabbage. All of that gnarliness can just go on with itself.

I'm sure there are tons more individual items.. but I just avoid stuff that is gross. My diet consists primarily of vegetables (raw and cooked.. carrots are my favorite), noodles and pastas of different sorts, fruits, breads, beer, vodka, and chocolate.

kibbeh

Michelle, you should be ashamed....no meat hush puppies?? lol. How bout kibbeh-nea (sp?) the raw meat dish. Put me on a desert Island w/ kib & taboule and I'm good to go!

I was a way picky eater till I got married. Up until 5 or 6 years ago, I wouldn't TOUCH fish unless it were a fish stick. Hub is one hell of a cook, (& it's only he that makes dinner..I don't cook) and comes up w/ the most interesting things. He cooks fish like nothing I have ever had. NOTHING ever tastes fishy, and he generally uses so few ingridients. So now, still selective, but I eat fish. My Dad was most surprised to hear me say my favorite was Catfish. He thought that for a long time no-fish eater to love that the most was weird. Then he had it prepared by hubby, and it a believer. I dunno what to tell you guys. Either he laces it w/ crack, or he's slowly killing me. lol

In addition to eating fish, I still can not stomach cooked mushrooms. They are ok raw cut VERY small in a salad, but that's it. Celry I don't like at all except for cooking with. To add flavor..but I want NONE of it in my dish.

Cheeses I am ok w/ to an extent. The cheap American crap (that I used to love as a po-ass child) I detest now. But what really makes my skin crawl is Tomato juice, and the big life mystery...as in who the bleep drinks this crap....Clamato. EEEW! Just saying the word gives me the yuckies. I like tomatoes, raw, again in salad....ok I guess. Not cooked, and who in the hell wants to juice them? It's just wrong. And it's all thick and yucky.

Nastiest food ever:

Mushrooms - get those narsty things away from me
Spray cheese, blue cheese, Cheez Whiz, Velveeta, or processed cheese
Anything that lives in water
Red meat - barf
BEANS in any sort of sauce
Tomato soup makes me shudder and if I smell it - ugh, gag me with a spoon

amen. thinking about cl-m-to brings up a little.

i'm pretty open to different foods, but i will never again go for:

tuna - tastes exactly like it smells, unfortunately

brussel sprouts - the only green vegetable i dislike, smell like farts

mint sauce - why ruin that dead baby lamb carcass?

cooked cabbage - no

potted meat food product - even the name is terrifying. comes in the same little can pictured above but includes beef tripe, beef hearts, and "partially defatted cooked pork fatty tissue" in its ingredients. that's enough to induce veganism.

brussel sprouts - the only green vegetable i dislike, smell like fartsI've always enjoyed brussels sprouts because, apart from Brussels being a city in Belgium where Gerald lives & works, I believe that brussels sprouts have a delicous flavor & they look so cute -- just like miniature cabbages. You haven't had them cooked properly then.

"Overcooking releases sulfur compounds in the vegetables that give it a distinctive smell commonly found unpleasant. If correctly cooked, the unpleasant smell is avoided and the vegetable possesses a delicate nutty flavour."
