Wow. The lady is wearing the blue version of the same dress. It's like 'I Dream of Jeannie', when Barbara Eden would play Jeannie's twin and was identical except for brown hair and a blue outfit except pink.

It's like the opposite, it's like the effect Stevie wanted when she wore a white identical version of the black 'Rumours' outfit for the 'Belladonna' cover.

Actually it is a white dress . It just seems blue in the picture.
check out the website :
http://www.kaattilley.com/frames.html

you'll find the dress when clicking on the bottom right window marked "moonlight"

if only i won big time at the lottery i could go and get myself one of her dresses....

New to The Ledge, and my first post is going to be a little mundane, but good god is the above picture of Stevie amazing. How can I be so attracted to a woman almost 30 years my elder?

btw, Suzy, thanks for the link. some of the other pictures on that site are gorgeous. I love the juxtaposition of formal (ballgowns) vs. informal (nature)!

Cool find.

The dress or whatever it is can be found on the Les Habitudes site (it's an LA store). They sell her designs... and it's the same red that Stevie wore.

Interestingly, La Nicks did not, to my knowledge, give a shout out to the dress maker or maker of any of the fab. clothing in that shoot. So, I think that means she actually bought it as opposed to wearing it in a public shoot in exchange for a shout out a la the Academy Awards and most photo shoots for celebs.

That whole photoshoot is strange (but beautiful) because there isn't a photographer credited either, as fas as I know.

I know. I mean if you look at Details, Vanity Fair, etc -- the photos that go along with the articles almost always credit every item on the body and sometimes who did the hair and make up - not to mention the photography. I think the subject of the interview gets the clothes and services for free then as a form of advertisement. So, this leads me to believe that La Nicks actually owns the stuff she wore, which IMO is WAY cool and indicative of her great, if outlandish, taste.

Thanks ! :wavey:
I think Stevie needs to come to Antwerp for some serious shopping and then do some shows while she's here, showing off her new wardrobe

I think she owns this dress as well, but I do have to wonder for which occassions she pulls it out of her closet (except for magazine shoots, that is). One can only hope she will wear this on stage at least once before she dies.

Isn't it almost unheard of for a magazine to not credit the photographer? I've always found that strange... maybe in Australia it's different.

Am I the only person who thinks that dress would have looked better on her without the roses?

The roses make it editorial - though it apparently also made it into retail, abeit at a high level. I like the roses bcause without them and in biege, it is very Sat. night for cocktails and supper at the Country Club

I agree though that it is a beautiful dress and artistic expression either way.
