to kathy1, it did hurt, but not unbearably, mostly her hair~ here is my other stevie tat:http://i28.tinypic.com/900wmv.jpg

this one is on my lower back, a tramp stamp so to speak:shocked:, the new one is on my upper back~

jazzy i guess it is 6 inches long & maybe 4-5 wide & thanx i had thought about it for a long time~

arlene, i know it's not totally portraity as seems to be so popular these days, all black & grey as seen like on LA ink~ but i had alot of fun constructing it w/ him~ & i love it, i think he did a fab likeness of her & as i said i would like to fill out the letters more~ but otherwise i am totally loving it, i got it for me & the hubby is totally digging it~ i understand that it might not be some's cup of tea, i didn't do it to get anyone's approval or adoration, i had just thought about it for years & years & the opportunity came up~ i just thought i'd share~ i have to say i can't wait to tan, my skin looks so white right now & when it was first done, my back was so red, it looked like she had a major sunburn:lol:~

It looks like a good job Jill. I hope you don't mind me saying it isn't too my taste... I would never put someones name on my body... well maybe I would my kids but that's it. But it's good that you worked with the tattoo artist to get exactly what you wanted!

Cool!! When I went to Vegas the last time, we passed the famous Tat place in the Palms hotel, which was packed at the time! I think your guy did a great job of constructing Stevie's face as well! Glad the hubby digs it too!

I have one on my upper arm that needs to be finnished. It's a small strip of the side of her face. when it gets finnished this year, I will deffinatley post it up here on the ledge. A lot of people really like it. I can't stand looking at it because it ain't even finnished. LOL! But Uncle Sam will help me finnish it. LOL! They are expensive aren't they? And NO, mine did not hurt. My artist was gentle. Plus, I can tolerate needles, they don't bother me too much. But if I have to get an epidural when I have a kid, I think I will cry. LOL! When my tattoo is finnished I will definatley post it up here on the Ledge.:p
