Listen, I'd have sat to pee on his seat just to say I did. Of course, he may sit to pee as well :blob1:

I have only watched one episode. I much prefer Dr Who, with Billie Piper. I can't wait until the new assistant...I didn't like the last one.

John is a cutie, that's for sure. An American. And gay. I love that he's taken UK by storm.:);)

Knock me over with a feathe!!! That accent didn't say anything Scottish for me. Wow. I am totally shocked. Isn't David Tennant Scottish as well?? I am not sure. It's not like they are stars here. I depend on Sci Fi and On Demand to see anything.

Yeah...John spent quite a few years growing up in the States so gained an american accent. Apparently when he's with family he often slips back to a scottish accent. He even got married in a kilt!

And David Tennant is Scottish. I hadn't realised until I saw him on another show speaking in his natural voice!!

I saw David on a skit show and that other accent came out and I was shocked...he hides it SO well!!! he's hottie too, isn't he? I love the dorky gangly types LOL.

John is married? Thanks for all the info. Now I won't think the wrong thing anymore LOL.

It's like Gillian Anderson. She goes around with a British accent now and you'd never think she spent 9 years on a show with an American accent. ...except *she* is American. Weird.

You made me curious about Gillian so I checked out her website and found this:

Gillian Leigh Anderson was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 9, 1968. Soon after her birth, the family relocated to Puerto Rico for 15 months and then moved to England. Gillian spent the next 9 years of her childhood growing up in London's North End - first in Stamford Hill and later in Crouch End - while her father Edward studied film production at the London School of Film Technique in Covent Garden for 2 years. Eventually the family moved back to the U.S.A. and settled in Grand Rapids where her father ran a film post-production company and her mother worked as a computer analyst.

So her early childhood was spent in the UK hence the British accent. She obviously didn't shake it even though she ended up back in the USA

JB was born in Glasgow and moved here when he was a kid. The American accent comes from not wanting to be teased by American kids for his Scottish accent.

Also, he had a civil ceremony in which he maried his long time partner, Scott Gill.

John Barrowman is dreamy. I have to say watching him and James Marsters make out and kick the **** out of each other last week was this fangirl's dream.
