[danax6]

Are you going to tumble outta bed and stumble to the kitchen, then pour yourself a cup of ambition?Dude, I drink cups of ambition all day long from nine to five. :wavey:

I'm going to see:

Cat Power
Okkervil River
Steve Earle
The Gutter Twins (Mark Lanegan & Greg Dulli)
Neil Young (four times!)
The Breeders
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band
Neil Diamond
My Bloody Valentine

I've heard Willie Nelson is coming to London in May and I really want to see him too. I can't make up my mind about seeing Dolly.

[kathy1]

how can you afford to go to all those concerts?

[trackaghost]

Well, with the exception of the bigger concerts like Springsteen and Diamond, most aren't that expensive. The ticket for Okkervil River was £10 and Cat Power was £15 for example. I'd spend more than that on a night out, plus I've always gone to lots of concerts.

Cool!

Okkervil river's latest album just ranked as the best of the year in my book! I bought it just before X-mas and that thing didn't leave the player!

I plan to see Young too. Gutter Twins and Band Of Horses. Okkervil River and Patrick Watson. I already saw Bruce, and I'm gonna follow Lindsey on a big part
of his European No One Knows My Name-Tour, just after his sametitled-doublealbum came out in September.

This month:

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings (aka, Amy Winehouse's band)
Grace Potter & the Nocturnals
Big Sam's Funky Nation
Velvet Revolver

Feb.

The Go-Gos

March

SXSW - Gosh, only 1100 bands in 4 days. Of course, I won't see all of them...Lou Reed is this year's keynote speaker, REM and My Morning Jacket have just been confirmed.

I'm waiting to see if better tickets will be released. I don't want to sit at the back for £75 quid!

I loved The Stage Names too. Have you heard the acoustic version?

I saw Bruce just before Christmas - amazing! That's why I'm going again in a few months. I saw Band Of Horses last year and they were great. The best beard I've seen in rock in a long time :D

I'll be following Lindsey around on his tour too. I've heard he's only playing tiny venues, all 1000 capacity or less! It's gonna be f**king awesome!

No. Where do I find that?

[trackaghost]

No. Where do I find that?

I'll upload it for you! It was an extra disc with the limited edition.

Also they posted a free Christmas EP on their official website. I don't know if it's still there, but if not I can upload that for you as well.

You need to check out these guys too:

I'm listening to their album now, it's so great. I'm certain you would love it too.

[xdreamsunwindx]

The Von Bondies
New York Dolls
Lee Rocker
Siouxsie
The Horrorpops
Reverend Horton Heat
The Pretty Things (maybe)

Besides my friends' bands, that's about it. I'd love to go to SXSW this year, but I'm supposed to be moving in October, so money is going to be tight - definitely not doable :( I head that The Rezillos and The Pretenders are possibly going to be touring this summer, so I'd like to catch either or. Here's to hoping..

[golddustwoman77]

As it stands right now......Richard Thompson, B.B. King, and Bruce Springsteen. These are all in the next couple of months.

[Stew_Matthews]

In the next three months -

Editors
Lenny Kravitz
Foo Fighters
Robert Cray
Cowboy Junkies
Van Halen
