View Full Version : All still alive, aren't they? and healthy?

I was reading the " Lindsey and Mick: Shorn for the 1978 Tour " thread and then I thought that Mick would be very very sad if any of his (current or former) partners passed away some day. I didn't mention this in my reply cause most of us don't like to talk about death but.. now my point is .. all Fleetwood Mac members are alive and healthy, aren't they?
And it's a good surprise to know that Jeremy, Danny or Peter are in good health, in spite of their crazy years with drugs and other excesses (not to mention Stevie or John).. I read few years ago that Danny was doing well, he got short hair, clean, etc.. I hope he is mentally health, too.
It is not weird to find bad news about people from that generation that had a bad end (check the story of Rolling Stones, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Doors, Mammas & Pappas, and remember Janis, Hendrix, etc, etc, etc...)
I hope every Fleetwood Mac member is healthy, all them are in their 50s or more, and it's hard to keep a good health after a rock life. Does anyone know how (the three) Bob, (the two) Dave, Jeremy and all members are doing ??

When you think of other rock bands, with 16 different members, it is a minor miracle that they are all alive.
Stevie really made me laugh when she commented that when their friends die that Lindsey will be the first one she calls. "Well, thanks babe. That's something to look forward to!" It's like she's already made plans to outlive all of their friends. Of course, when that interview was given, Warren Zevon may have been heavily on her mind.

It's kind of morbid to think about, but I wonder which Fleetwood Mac member will depart first.

^^ That is kind of morbid... ;)
I do think it's a miracle that Stevie in particular is alive and fabulous after everything she went through / put herself through. Lindsey too, given what happened to his brother and father (?)
Long live the Mac! :)

Of course, they're both not quite 60 yet, so cardiac arrest could carry them off at, say, age 65 to 67, & it might still medically be considered a "premature death" owing to heart disease.
Long live the Mac! :)Sometimes I think the band will outlive all the members. Of course, in a way, it will! Just as Beethoven's great piano trio Opus 97, the "Archduke," outlives its composer.

And Mick and John, too. John used to drink a lot, like Maurice Gibb (rip). And Mick abused cocaine, I guess like Stevie and far more than Chris or Lindsey

There are very few pictures of Christine back in the day without a glass in her hand. John had a real problem with the demon drink but Christine did her share. Still she's OK now (if only she'd stop smoking)

Well, all actual members are still alive, but we've lost some who were in the band's "inner circle" at times:
Doug Graves (engineer on Heroes Are Hard To Find and 2nd keyboardist on 1974 tour)
Bob Hughes (producer on Heroes Are Hard To Find)
Judy Wong

Judy WongHow many members' parents are still alive? The only parent I know about who is still alive is Stevie's mother. Did Mick's mother die in the last several years or is she still kicking?

Well, you mean of the five? Because Bonnie and Delaney are still alive.
I don't believe in torture (or waterboarding, which some refuse to define as torture), but I would be opening to forcing Biddy to divulge Mick's real age.

It is morbid to think about, but my husband had a heart attack @ the age of 48 (clogged artery) & with their history of living in the fast lane, anything is possible. This is why I try to catch them on tour (solo here lately) whenever I can because you never know if it might be their last tour.

Does she still smoke? I remember reading interviews with her from the Dance era where she said she'd quit. Did she take it up again?

She had quit for about 5 years then unfortunately started again during her marriage problems with Eddy Quintela. I hope she's given it another try to quit in the last few years after ITM.

I get the impression that Danny isn't doing very well. I don't think he really ever got his mind back. Last thing I read about it was that he was living in some sort of shelter in England.
Mick eventually felt bad for him and got him some royalties, I believe.

I saw her smoking at the Dance show I attended in 97'. She was having a cig while Mick and Lindsey finished up their little solo thing on Not That Funny.

how about Peter Green and Jeremy???
Both doing fine - Jeremy posts on the Pre-Rumours board from time to time :)

That's about right, but he is apparently being looked after by the right kind of people. His family are in touch with him, although his parents are gone, and yes, Mick sees to Danny's royalties as far as I know, so he's okay on that score :) Jeremy said on here a while back that he and Peter went to see Danny and they had a bit of a chat, which must have been nice :)
