1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? - paper. i make a big deal out of my wrapping, actually. it's my favorite part of christmas.

3. When do you put up the tree? - first week/weekend of december, or whenever. some years not at all.

4. When do you take the tree down? - first week/weekend of january, or whenever.

5. Do you like eggnog? - gag. no.

Favorite gift received as a child? - oh man, i always got a ton of stuff. there was a little yellow car.. you had to pedal it, it had levers on the right and left for turning, and it looked like a race car. i always called it "my little yellow car".. i don't know what it was really called. :laugh:

7. Do you have a nativity scene? - several.. handed down from my grandparents. they are just stored away. the days of excitement and decoration are long gone.

8. Hardest person to buy for? - my mother.

9. Easiest person to buy for? - my sister. she just tells me what she wants.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? - my one aunt on my dad's side gave my sister and i crappy makeup kits like 5 years in a row. before that it was sweaters for a few. pajamas before that. what the hell, i see you once a year.. on christmas. you really don't have to buy me anything. -_-

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? - a christmas story. randy lay there like a slug. it was his only defense.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? as soon as i get my first gift idea.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? - oh yeah.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? - hm, i dunno. there's always so much good.. but we have different things each year.

Clear lights or colored on the tree? - it depends on the tree. for the tree at my mom's house, clear, because it's got a very classic look. but at my aunt's house, she has like, a 9 foot tree with crazy ornaments and HUGE, round colored lights.. it's beautiful. I need to take a picture of it this year.

17. Favorite Christmas Song? - The Boston Pops doing LeRoy Anderson's A Christmas Festival.... classic. Kitschy traditional. I only want to hear it once, though. Not big on Christmas music anymore.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? - home in the morning, travel a short distance to see family, travel a short distance more to see friends, back at home at night. :)

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeers? - yes... because of the Rudolph song.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? - neither. i don't know what it's called. our tree is antique ornaments and such.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? - i don't want anything. really. but my mother did make me choose a certain .. satchel.. i guess it's more like. i have to carry a ton of stuff all the time and my bag is getting kind of beaten up.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Usually on the 23rd- that's our anniversary, too. I have picked up a few things this year, but I'll finish up this week-end.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? - Definitely and it's always been out of necessity (lack of money).

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? - I don't really associate food with Christmas.

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? - Funny you should ask this. The artificial tree we bought this year is pre-lit and has multi-colored lights. My husband loves it- I'm not sure how I feel about it. I love white twinkly lights (and have them elsewhere in the house).

17. Favorite Christmas Song? - O Holy Night, Silent Night, Happy Xmas, Father Christmas (The Kinks)

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? - Home, though I would love to go to NY and be with my family again for Christmas.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? - I really want a GPS. I'm a social worker/therapist intern (hence the no money business) and I'm doing in-home therapy right now. I am CONSTANTLY getting lost. I won't get a GPS for Christmas but I'd like one.

26. Favorite Childhood Christmas Memory/Memories? - Getting up so early and running down the stairs with my brother and sister. Being allowed to open our stockings before my parents got out of bed. The excitement of Christmas Eve.

26. Favorite Childhood Christmas Memory/Memories? Being the first up and cranking the Christmas records on Christmas morning at my grandparents place in Florida. They'd get up and we'd all dance in a circle. Funny to think about now. It's a sweet memory that starts off with me cranking out music and not getting in trouble! How effing sweet!

Nope. We order them! We decided since I host both Thanksgiving and Christmas, I don't have to cook for both of them. We really enjoyed our pizza night last year, and I'm looking forward to it tonight. It's just so much easier with all the holiday rush going on, it's one last thing we don't have to worry about.

Pointless info really but interestingly Rudolph is assumed to be male (the song refers to it as a male) but Rudolph can only be female because it has antlers and males don't have antlers in winter, only the females do. So he is really a she.
