God, I feel like such a kid! So, we've already gotten about 4 inches, and we're expecting up to 17! :blob1: For now, it's stopped snowing for the most part, but we're expecting blizzard like conditions... I sure hope so! I can't wait!
How's the weather where you're at???

We had our first big snow fall on Thursday morning. We got about 8" here. Tonight there is supposed to be a nor easter coming through with snow and sleet. I don't mind it if I don't have to be out in it, but tomorrow is a work day, so I'm not happy.

Here too. We've had awful weather in NC. We do need the rain because we are experiencing one of our worst droughts, ever. Last week it was in the upper 70s all week; now it's in the low 40s and raining. I miss Northern weather. Is that weird?

reasons why I LOVE newengland weather:
-we had a delay on monday [the 10] postponing my AP test, which I was absent for anyway, to wednesday, giving me more time to study
-we got out early thursday, getting out of D block [french, ugh.], and posponing progress reports [which i didnt really care about, i did fine]
-and now, saturday the 15, were expecting a HUGE snow storm not to end until tomorow night, and possibly creating a 2 hr delay or possibly NO school on monday. YES!!
oh, weve already had a snow day by the way. if we get another one [hopefully we get 2 or three more] though, only one, were getting out of school on a monday in june. blech.
I really hate the winter overall though. its too cold, and snow is yucky, especially after its plowed. and next year [winter 08-09] im gonna be forced to shovel. which i suck at. ew. and i have almost no upper body strength to do. oh well.
I wish i had the proper gear so i could play in the snow though. Ive been tempted.
See, id prefer just icy conditions, or even rain. snow is just too much before the 22 [thats the start of winter right?]. We must have at least 6-8 inches, and where its been plowed, it goes a bit above my knee. thats too much :(

okay, so we only got about 5 or 6 inches, and a layer of ice inbetween snows. my girlfriend from Arizona is in town, and we all were out there at midnight sledding down the little hill in my backyard and having a snowball fight. That lasted all of 12 minutes. haha! I just wonder what the roads are like.

No, a few inches is usually the norm, but it seems early this year.

We got a mix yesterday ending with rain. Stupid me did not shovel last night (in the rain) and now I think I'm iced in. Maybe the sun will soften the snow a bit. The street here is double-laned so there is a huge snow bank (ice bank) in my driveway. It sucks! But I do love the wintry landscape, it's beautiful. And with all the Christmas lights people have up it looks magical at night.
On edit: A neighbor who has a plow came by and offered to plow it for me. Well, not for free of course! He saw me out there trying to chop at the ice bank and took pity on me. Lol. I saw an elderly man trying to shovel out his ice bank on my way into the office. :(

I hate shoveling. My neighbor used to come plow my drive and I wouldn't even know it until he was done. Now his wife is a bitch, and he don't plow for me anymore, but that's okay. I shoveled a little, and shoveled my neighbors... she's older but not elderly. Too old to be out there shoveling by herself. What a crappy chore.

It's really hard, isn't it? I did the whole thing myself last week. Well, a neighbor did come by and helped me with the last of it which was good, I was running out of steam. At one point I was trying to keep shoveling and my arms just would not move. When the neighbor came, I couldnt take as many breaks because he was working so hard. And when we finished I vomitted! That has never happened to me before. So yeah, from now on my neighbor down the street will be plowing my driveway for me. I feel for you having to shovel Maria, it sucks!

Aww, honey, I'm sorry it got you sick, but I can totally see how. It just takes everything out of ya. I learned to shove it to one side without actually picking it up and throwing it. That's what wears you out.
