In the late 70's and early 80's - La Nicks was known for singing with many other people, sometimes sua sponte. It seems to me that in 2001 or so, she kind of started doing this again only differently. She and Crow did that fab. drunken Shine set in NYC. she sang with the DC on the Divas thing and them did an Elvis song for goodness sake  She has toured with Henley and Petty and the latter as a non headliner. She gave Carlton a show up as well. I think that is cool of her to be branching out like this once again.

And don't forget her finest guest appearance- alongside Jesse Camp. To this day I still do not know what possessed her to do that.

Me either. But, I give her kudos for doing something out of the ordinary. I wonder if she recorded the vocal by herself and then MTV married the vocal to someone chosen later.
Also - thank you David!!!!! Remember in the late 70's when La Nicks would jump onstage with just about anyone

To me, I think the strangest combo is the one with Ringo Star...

To me, I think the strangest combo is the one with Ringo Star...Peter, is that the one that goes "Love is not a sin/Give in, give in" three times in a row?
I like that one!

I'm not Peter but the answer is yes!! It's called LAY DOWN YOUR ARMS, and you should get it if you can. I only have it on cassette, otherwise I would post it for you. It's a very good song. A duet with Ringo Starr. In the meantime Viv says hi to all of you.

Yeah, that one.... I think that's about all that's audible from her really except for the obvious background stuff... I just listened to it yesterday, had forgotten all about that track... I didn't care for it when I first heard it and still don't.

Wow... those were pretty obvious ones I should have remembered! However, I'm not sure I've heard about the Roger McGuinn collaboration. Oh, and there's Jon Bon Jovi and Brett Michaels. How can we forget those highlights of Stevie's career? :p
But then again, should we include all of the times she was just kind of on the same stage as other performers, e.g., Michael Jackson at the Billy inauguration?

Sara McLoughlin (sp.?) She was on TISL - but I do not think anything live exists. Also, she jammed onstage with, I believe, Keith Richards, Clapton, Crow, and Chriss Hynde for the Crow thing in Central Park for Amex Blue.
Then, she worked with Dallas Austin for TISL, which I still suggest could have been huge. Sadly, I think none of those recordings have surfaced.
Intrerestingly, I remember reading that she has done jam sessions with George Harrison and U2.

Lord Child - in that case, she and Auntie Ree Ree have been collaborators
Also, she was onstage and sang with, I believe Chic for the Montreaux thing last year.

Well, if we're counting people she jammed live with, there was that New Year's Eve thing with Eddie Van Halen on that "tiny little stage" around 20 years ago.

I am too lazy

However, I'm not sure I've heard about the Roger McGuinn collaboration.
She joined him on stage at the Whisky-A-Go-Go to sing "Mr. Tambourine Man," sometime in the early '90s.

What did Stevie and Heart do together?

What did Stevie and Heart do together?
Supposedly there is some very low quality footage somewhere of a Heart concert where Stevie and Grace Slick sang on one song- I think it was "Alone" or something like that.
Oh, and a few years ago, Stevie and Don joined Roger Waters in Southampton, NY for the "Huggy Bears" benefit. From the NY Post:
"The hot lot, which chowed down on filet mignon and tuna, was treated to a very special concert starring Don Henley and his friends Stevie Nicks and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters.
Henley brought down the house with such tunes as "Witchy Woman" and "Hotel California," paired up with Nicks for a rendition of "Leather and Lace," and later joined Waters to sing songs off "The Wall" album. While apple pie and ice cream was served, Jedell said, "The dessert was really this concert."
Supposedly Stevie joined Roger Waters on the Wall songs too, so he should be added to the list! Could you imagine chowing down on pie a la mode while watching Stevie, Don and Roger Waters belting out Pink Floyd songs in the Hamptons?
Oh, and yes, Sarah Mclaughlin did back up vocals on "Love Is," so she counts too.
The list gets longer and longer...

It was "What About Love"
Sara M. also, I believe played the piano on Love Is.
And, yes, La Nicks apparently likes to work with other people, and that has never really stopped.

Plus there are all those tons & tons of singers who were also guests at various concerts & who shared the stage during a number or two with Stevie. For example, when she did Rundgren's show at the Roxy on May 23, 1978 (which she probably did because Paul Fishkin wanted her to), she sang "Hello It's Me," "Just One Victory" & "Hang On, Sloopy" with Rick Derringer, Spencer Davis & Hall & Oates. (There is audio of all those, should any of you be interested.)

There's a video out there of her singing Landslide in duet with the band Venice, somewhere around OSOTM era.
Found it! (I personally can't get the video to work, I only get audio, but the video worked for others)

She also performed with The Hooters on the OSOTM-tour.

Yes, she definitely had those hooters out front for the OSOTM tour. :p
Seriously, I saw them opening up for her, but I never saw her actually joining them onstage.
Venice is a good call! I shall add it to the list.

Venice is a good call! I shall add it to the list.Is Dylan on your list? There are the two appearances with Dylan in Feb 1986 in Sydney.
Also, Michael Jackson & some other stars sang the Don't Stop tag at the inaugural, putting their arms around Stevie & rubbing Christine's belly. Also, Robbie Patton was onstage with Stevie at the Roxy when she was doing GDW with Bob Welch. Patton was about as big a star as anyone in Venice.
Let's do a list of music stars Stevie has not joined onstage:
1. John Lydon
2. Dewey Bunnell & Gerry Buckley of AMERICA (even though You Can Do Magic was an ode to Stevie)
3. Patti Smith
4. Husker Du
