A friend in Boston told me she went to a concert by singer/songwriter, Ari Hest, last night. He introduced one tune by saying that he was covering a song by a band that he grew up listening to, especially once he started playing guitar. Of course her mind went to FM right away, but she thought maybe she was just deluding herself. But sure enough, to her pleasure, he started playing "Little Lies."
You can hear the song on his website, http://www.arihest.com. Click on Media and then the link for his past releases. You'll find "Little Lies" on the Green Room CD.
I think the slower tempo brings out the contemplative, wistful aspect of the song more.
