I truly think, at least right now, that this is the best video they and she ever did. Of course, the majesty of LB's production made this song what it is from a sonic vantage point. But, she OWNS this video; she is the indeed the north star.
Anyway, what do you think is her or their best video?

Definitely this one. And I'm very fond of Every Day also.

But, she OWNS this video; she is the indeed the north star.pWhat's so interesting to me about the Gypsy video is the color sequence, which is a beautiful simulation of the old 3-strip Technicolor dye process used in great movies like "The Adventures of Robin Hood," "The Wizard of Oz," "Henry V," "Black Narcissus," "Meet Me in St. Louis," "Good News," "Moon Over Miami," "Singin' in the Rain," "The Garden of Allah" (although maybe that one is 2-strip), & so on, unforgettably! Now somebody on this forum told me awhile back that the director, Mulcahy, did not use a 3-strip dye process but used a modern process to simulate the old. Whichever is true, I do not know (but I wish I did know). All I do know is that the color segments in Gypsy, in terms of the saturation, the palette, &c., are lovely & awesome to me because they capture a bygone technical process so perfectly. (I think the corps de danse didn't rehearse enough, however. They don't lift their long legs in tandem.)
Anyway, what do you think is her or their best video?I think Talk to Me is Stevie's best solo video. It's clean, no weird cuts or jerky jumps or screwups. Plus the Stevie herself looks great in it, lip-syncs well, & moves the way a rock star should move. She was a star, natch, in those days. Nowadays she's just a sweet lil' old frump, much too pleasant & nice to be a mandarin empress of the stage.

I always thought she looked really stoned in the Talk To Me video. I mean, it's a very serious song and she's all smiley and giggly. It's just kind of weird to me. I really like the I Can't Wait video for her solo stuff. I mean, she's so full of fire and passion in that one. And, as someone here pointed out in a thread about it, I just love the way she sings "blame it on something at first site" and holds up four fingers. And that moment where she turns to the camera and is about the sing but then realizes that there's no lyric and sort of clenches her lips **** and shakes her head a bit, as if she's thinking, "um... yeah, I meant to do that". Those two parts always make me giggle.
Oh, and on the commentary where she's in the big room banging on the window and her voice in the commentary goes "Mick... come back... save me". LOL!

Sepia was what they were, in my opinion, in the first reel (homage to the Depression) -- but the dance sequences in the last minute are I. Duncan -- and she knew that I think.

It's funny to me how she talks about Mick saving her a lot. Like when she was discussing Sometimes It's A Bitch and commented that Mick wouldn't have let her do it. He'd have come up on his white horse and rescued her!
