did anyone watch?

I am going to love this season. Mr. Jack in the blue tshirt was probably HAWT when he was younger. I must find pics of him. there are some serious characters this season. it's gonna be great!

I am so excited for this season! There are a lot of talented people competing this time around, with a few notable exceptions...but who knows?

This dress was my favorite, but I'm not crazy about the designer. He just strikes me funny. My early favorites are Rami and Marion, and I really think this will be another year for the men.

I know some of you watched this, so weigh in!

OMG. that dress! my favorite too.

I love what I saw of Rami, but his dress didn't really impress me much. it was a little too "I took this flannel sheet and made this in a hot second" for my taste. I just think it lacked a little structure to flatter anyone's figure. but, I like what I saw in his bio video.

oh man, i picked that one in the bottom three {ducking} - it had a bad hawaiin tourist thing going IMO - lol

i actually picked rami's to win, but the more i saw it the more it had the look of a really good toga. it was nice, but it was still just a bedsheet. all that material to choose something to add . . . and he didn't add anything.

and how the hell did that potato sack that 'sweet p' sent down the runway not get her in trouble. I thought it was hideous and no one would want to round out their middle like that.

i agree with the choice of booting who they did. her dress looked terrible with or without the non-matching little jacket.

the other bad finalist (the real eccentric) woman's dress that "looked like the model was pooing fabric" was pretty hot except for the fabric poo part at the bottom. it really was nice shape and sleeves.

i didn't like christian's eithr even though they had it in the top three.
i thought it looked a bit like an outdated stewardess outfit.

i would have put chris's? (is that his name? he was the heavier guy they messed with right off the bat by making them run accross a field to get to the fabric - that was BS.) dress in the top three. It looked especially good on his darker skin-toned model.

ok - now to episode 2

What kind of "fashion icon" sells sportswear at Steve and Barry's? That's all I'm saying.

Well, and that this was one of my least favorite episodes. I did like what the winning team did though. I think I was just disappointed because they could have done so much more with an appearance from SJP.

Christian needs to get the axe, but I'm thinking he is this season's Wendy/Santino/Jeffrey.

Come on, don't you people watch this show?

I was all hyped up last week with the preview going on about "we've never done this type of challenge before" and whatnot. I was let down when it was just menswear, and boring Today show menswear at that.

I liked how all of the designers were freaking out about the challenge, and how crappy some of the designs were! Don't even get me going on Sweet P's collar for that shirt. Blech.

Overall I was pretty underwhelmed, but the show always gets better as they go further into the season. I must be too impatient I guess.

I'm watching. And ITA, this week's challenge was Dullsville. And why could NOBODY manage to sew the crotch right? It's like they were terrified to go near that area. Here's the link to the "rate the runway" if anyone need to be reminded of who did what:

EDIT: What's with the link feature? Is it not working? It won't for me. Oh well. Go to bravotv/projectrunway & selesct "rate the runway."

I'd glad Carmen got the boot. Her stuff strikes me as way too retro 80's, and NOT in a good way. Same goes for Christian, so they can dump his ass tomorrow as far as I'm concerned. I loved last week, when Tim and all 3 judges said his dress was 80's & sucked so he got all cocky & said "well, I want to hear what Sara Jessica has to say." The way his face literally fell when she said it was too severe & didn't translate well from his design on paper was priceless. :p He needs to be taken down a few pegs - he's good, but he's not that good.

This week, Sweet P's was a friggin' nightmare, but I'm glad they didn't dump her. I like her, and it's obvious her design didn't suck, but she ran out of time. Ricky's was boring. 2 out of 3 weeks they've told him he was safe, boring, etc. He needs to kick it up a notch if he wants to stick around.

I thought Rami's was pretty good - he seems to be a front runner so far, but I'm not convinced yet. His drapey goddess gray dress from week 1 was "been there, done that" IMO. Didn't Angelina Jolie wear something very similar to an awards show a few years back?

Didn't mind Victorya's. Liked Kevin's. Glad Jack won, that was my favorite - I normally don't like too many stripes but he pulled it off. Elisa surprised me, that crazy bitch. I liked her work this week - at least she didn't spit on the guy.

Well, whaddya know?

Jack & Dale (from Top Chef) are dating

I'm glad Dale is growing his hair in. That mohawk look was terrible.

Kinda pissed that Chris is out., even though that jacket did belong on Linda Evans in 1985. Ricky deserved to go - his dress didn't fit well AT ALL! Plus, did it remind anyone else of Snow White? :p He's been nothing special since the start, but for some reason the judges are keeping him - maybe they expect him to break out & dazzle them?

I agreed with the judge's decision about the winning team. Added bonus was seeing Christian's face fall again when he found out it wasn't his team. That kid bugs me more & more each week.

Klum looked fabulous again.

Ricky needs to go, and fast. I don't understand the fascination that the judges have with him. So he designed lingerie! Apprantly not all that well, if his designs on the show are any indication. The jacket/slip cover that Chris made was pretty awful, but the construction was so much better then Ricky's.

Kevin and Rami are going to be in the top three. I'm undecided on the remaining spot, but those two knock me out with their stuff. Not to mention that Rami is kinda hot to me. Not as hot as Heidi's hair last night, but close.

No more group competitions! Someone always gets screwed. Elisa's dress looked like a potato sack. I'm surprised they didn't get on her case about it. Chris' jacket would've worked better had it been a longer length. I mean, since he had to do shoulder pads.

That's cute about Jack and Dale dating...I wonder what Jack's dramatic announcement is going to be next week?

I love Christian - cuz his predictions are always so wrong.

And the crybaby is staying cuz meltdowns are good TV, dammit.

I hope I don't have to hear the words "cohesive" or "cohesion" for awhile.

I'll be glad to contribute. Here are my thoughts on a few past shows (I had forgotten about this thread too. :o )

*The Hershey's ep was really cool. I loved Chris's short Hershey bar dress, I wish he would have won. Jillian's was good too, but the bodice was a bit too stiff & made the model look like she had no waist. Rami's? Meh.

*The prom show was hilarious, I loved it. Christian showed his obvious lack of maturity by smack-talking his model before they even said anything negative about his dress. I mean, wtf?! Talk about unprofessional & diva-like behavior. I didn't think it was that bad (wasn't all that good either), but it was obvious to me that he was pissy because he got the short round black outspoken girl instead of some hot skeletal meek blond.

I didn't like V's prom dresss either, that color was so...so...so....I dunno - 80's? That stupid plastic gem neckline reminded me of hideous dress season 1's Jay made for Klum for some awards show a couple years back. Ick. I think Sweet P should have won - yes, it was sophisticated & mature, but it's exactly what the model wanted & she looked ****ing fantastic in it. Ricky's was dullsville. Kevin's was tack, but I didn't think he deserved to go at all.

*Avante garde ep: I agreed with the judges as far as top tems & bottom teams, and I would have picked V & J's too. I did love the huge dress of C&C's though. But that ****ing jacket of V & J's was hot.

To be honest, I think Rami should have gotten the boot. I mean, wtf was so "avante garde" about that? A dress over pants? Yeah, really crazy. Plus he really did, as Kors put it, throw Sweet P under the bus. She did try, but he just wouldn't listen to a thing she said. And you can only do so much, it's not like she could have ripped the garment out of his hands & redo it. Rami = Uli from last season - very beautiful flowing dresses, but it's the same thing over & over again.

* Levi's show: Those jeans Christian created were really incredible, BUT that jacket? Fug. I think he could have won had he made some sort of weird take on a white t-shirt or something. Now that I think about it, did anyone use the white fabric at ALL? They wanted a new iconic look - what is more iconic that Levis & a white T? Wasted opportunity, IMO.

I loved Sweet P's, but thank GOD she listened to Tim & dumped the length/wedding dress idea. That would have looked so patchwork leftover hippie 1970's - barf. Rami's zipper trim was great, but that's about it. Ricky's? Meh. I guess it was good, but he makes a little dress every f'ing week, so I pay little attention.

Chris should thank his lucky stars he's still in - that dress looked a lot alike one I had in 8th grade. Yuck. If he would have frayed all the edges, maybe. Should.Have.Listened.To.Tim. And I can't believe that Jillian had the balls (or stupidity) to put a mediocre coat on the runway the very next week after that awesomely fierce one she did with V.

So glad VictorYa's gone. She bugs. And I hate - HATE - pale washed out denim. I don't mind weathered, or even white, but that color looks like the piece is old & worn & dingy. You are OUT!

I don't know what tonight will be about. I don't really have a favrotie this season either. I like some of Jillian & Christian's pieces, but their personalities make me dislike them. I love Chris as a person, but his stuff is usually subpar. Ricky's boring, and Rami's becoming more & more so to me. I like Sweet P a lot, but she seems to struggle frequesntly.
