View Full Version : Remaster official CD releases
Are you interested in the release of remastered CDs?
Ken Caillat: "More albums remastered? I don't know, they don't always keep me in the loop on this stuff! I'll call them Monday and tell them about all these request and see what they suggest."
What do you want to see remastered and released?
Do you want additional tracks included in the remaster, like non-album B-sides?

Oooo i like that B-sides idea. Just a few extra tracks that didn't make it to the albums that should have, like...umm... how about Silver Springs?! (HINT HINT!!!! ;)

B-sides would be awesome and how about some outtakes like "silver springs" and "good bye angel"

I´d love to see many bonus tracks on the remastered versions. Maybe they can include the b-sides and 12" versions on these albums, along with a further album (or better, a box set!) containing only the previously unreleased material (i.e. outtakes, demos and alternate mixes).
If there is no special "rarities" album / box set, then of course these unreleased tracks should be included on the remastered albums, too!

Hi again!
I wouldn't mind seeing releases of songs previously un-released, like demos and things one would download from Napster. Or, if there are other versions of songs that were released that are totally different from the original, that would be cool too!

I would love to see the "Mirage" cd remastered. The sound on the original cd release is low and muffled. It sounds really bad.

The more released the better, first choice preferrably is previously unreleased stuff, then b- side/rare tracks collection (or stuck on the end of remastered CD albums). Basically, there's alot of cleaning up to do what with the odd CD's that must be in our collections just because it has one song on it that isn't available elsewhere. If they could just go through and compile all of that on discs we would need anyways, it would make things so much easier!

If this is done, PLEASE don't edit Sara for Tusk. I think they edited Storms too. This is why I haven't bought the Tusk cd but have stuck with my two tape set.

The supposed 16min version of Sara whould be nice to have on the Tusk remaster or the cleaning lady version

I totally agree, great stuff! How 'bout the "Soccer rocks the globe"version of "Blow by blow" for the "Time" CD bonus tracks and the live ones from the "Chain" box set (which as we know are from the videos like "Stand back" from the "Tango" vid and "Not that funny" from the "Mirage" vid (although it would be better if it was the complete version as the disc version is missing parts of the recording that are on the video and vice versa) and "Little lies" & "The chain" that are on the "In the back of my mind" CD single, "Oh well" from the "As long as you follow" single, "I loved another woman" & "Everywhere" from the "Save me" CD single (of course all from the "Tango" video too) probably all to go on the disc you mentioned that "Paper doll", "Love shines" and all those would go on to, which one was that again?! I can't forget the 5 tracks that are on the "Dance" DVD that aren't on the CD that have appeared on CD singles too. I wonder if Jeremy's solo debut would be a good disc on it's own with "Teenage darling" (b-side to the "Linda" single) as the bonus track and Peter's "End of the game" album as another CD release with "Heavy heart", "No way out", "Beasts of burden" & "Uganda woman" as the bonus tracks? Either way is great with me!

Yes to this too (as if you couldn't have guessed!), along with the appropriate corresponding outtakes/b-sides/alternates/rarities included at the end.....

After much discussion about trying to secure the release of Fleetwood Mac material that is out of release or contained in Warner Brothers' vaults, Ken Caillat has directed our hopes toward a single test project first. This project is a DVD collection of approximately 10-12 Fleetwood Mac music videos and possibly some live performance footage. Please see Marty's "sticky" post at the top of this Q&A forum for more details. As that is the only release realistically in our grasp right now, we're closing this thread and invite you to please provide your input about what to include in the DVD collection. The success of this project may determine the possibility of getting some other kinds of Fleetwood Mac material released in the future. Thanks!
