So, last night was our homecoming dance and it was amazing. I went with a group of friends to Gattiland (yeah, I know, incredibly random, and we didn't really do dates) and then we went to the dance. I spent most of my evening with this one girl and it was amazing. Obviously I am getting over that one girl who I wanted to sing for me. But yeah, I'm just in a great mood because the girl was gorgeous and next weekend we're going to try to get a group of people and hit the town which should be fun. So, the bottom line is that I am pretty much in an amazing mood.

And I appologize for not being on here in forever. I do want to say something though about the girl that I wanted to sing for me. The one that you all said I shouldn't use. I definately think that there was a higher power who really didn't want her to do it, because it would only draw me in further. Here is why I say that. Trying to find a weekend day that she could do it was near impossible because her senior in college boyfriend visits on the weekend, so she wants to spend time with him, so scheduling was incredible difficult. The second thing is this. When we finally did get something scheduled, I was excited. The girl got to my house at about noon, and then the accousic guitar player got there about 20 minutes later. Right when we're about to start singing, her mother calls and askes her if she did the laundry that she was supposed to do. She did 2 loads, but her mother wanted her to do 4 so her mother was pissed and was like "you need to come home right now!". So, here I finally get the girl to my house and we STILL didn't have a session. So, I've moved on and it feels great.

But yeah, the girl at the dance........ hmmmmm:)

Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone and I hope you adults get a little kick out of this thread, hearing a teen rant about life......

HA! When you said "sing" for you, I thought you meant sex. then you said...(the one you all said I should do)...see what I mean? haha
well, anyway...enjoy your high school times. They can be real fun if you let them.

HA HA, thanks. I worded it wrong. I mean "the one I shouldn't use". I can see how it could be confusing. But yeah, I'm still on cloud nine.

Hey Mylittledemon...

Back to Musicman408...

I am glad that you had a good time at the dance and have a good memory.

My 17 year old got ditched by his date....once at the picture taking at a friend's house. (His date took off in another car.) ....Then again at the restaurant...(she sat at another table but put her food on his tab) and then she headed for the dance (in another car) and was never seen again. Rumor had it that she hooked up with another guy.

My 17 year old was heart-broken... Later he got on the computer ... found a photo of a milk carton and put her photo on it. Below he wrote..."Missing. Last seen at Chili's Restaurant. If found, please contact...." Then he posted it on his Myspace page...

The Homecoming dance was two weeks ago...she's still not talking to him. It's like an episode of the Wonder Years..."Kevin gets Ditched....Again and Again."

she's still not talking to him.

I would hope that he realizes this is a good thing at this point.
He saw her true colors. (yes i was tempted to slap a "u" in colors.)

though i am sure he is still hurting, i hope his chin is up and he is looking WAAAAAAY past her. :)

on edit:
for complete closure on the date (and in case he feels weak and the need to talk to her in the future) , tell him to send her the bill for her food at chili's. lol
that will ensure she never speaks to him again and he will be safe.

Aw!!! Thank you for your kind words, BuckyMcNix! :wavey:

Everyone has heard of someone who has gotten ditched... But when it's YOU...

I hope he can laugh about it in years to come...I mean, I kind of laugh about it....but he is taking a serious approach and wants her to talk to him. He wants to know why she said "yes" in the first place....when he could have asked someone else.

My college-aged kid figures, it was to appease her mom and pop...then when the parents were out of sight, she made her break, and had the wheel-main (designated driver) ready at the curb.

My 17 year old stayed at the dance all night looking for her....afraid she might not have a way home. It was just him and the band packing up. (God love him...he is so gullible.)

He goes to a big high school with 485 kids in the senior class alone... if there were about 1000 kids at the dance, it would have been easy to avoid him....kid in a blue blazer, walking about with a little white rose boutineer...wilting as his hopes were...

WWKD?

What would Kevin Do?

(WonderYears reference)

In comparison, it sounds like Musicman408 was HOMECOMING KING!!!

Ethan, I'm glad you had fun at homecoming, and that you found a nice girl to hang out with. and that it made you forget about that other girl, and you know what, it wasnt meant to be, and thats cool, cause you found someone you really like.

Its like someone just comes into your life and it changes everything :)

And I hope you find someone for your band [that is, if you are still looking!]

Betsy, that SUCKS what happened to your son :(
but hes better off without her, she has no class. He seems like a good kid though, and shell get her just do someday.
and what he did on his myspace, that was hilarious [give him props , I wouldnt have ever thought to do that to anyone, and im 15! :D]

My homecoming dance is this saturday [:woohoo: ]. I asked that kid [yeah, the one who i was talking about in that thread i posted a while ago], but hes not going, at all, so I am totally fine with that. Hes hilarious though, I asked him to hang out sometime, and he said he wants to, and he flirts with me all the time [and me back to him obv.], and we talk a lot, so we'll see what happens with that. :)

But Ethan, I am really glad everything is working out for you now. Youre a good kid :)

Well, I've known her for awhile, but once I realized Hey, she's pretty awesome, I stepped up my game, but recently she seems to be a bit more distant so maybe she doesn't feel the same. What do you all think? This weekend however we are gettign a group together to hit the town, so maybe things will change.....

yeah Ethan, Get with it!!

I dont know, what to tell you about her 'backing off' maybe shes just shy?

Just wait to see what happens this weekend, and if you like her, then just be yourself [hey you seem like a good enough kid to say that.] and let her see the real you. Dont put on acts, girls HATE THAT.

I really hope everything works out for you though

Well I mean, I definately like her, but it seems like she has been avoiding me lately, maybe...... What do I do?

Like, a lot of times in the morning, our paths would cross, or she'd even call my name from accross the hall. Now, when I try to find her and I see her, she doesn;t say anything. Also, we'd always message each other on Facebook, but we eventually started doing it multiple times a day when we weren't at school and we would write long in depth messages, but now, she doesn't seem as verbose when we talk....... So I don't know what to do. We'l see how this weekend goes.

Guess what, I have written her a song and she knows about it. This was a few weeks ago. For whatever reason, this girl sometimes has self esteem problems, and I wrote a song about that, sent it to her, and she said I made her cry, in a good way..... But seems like she's forgotten how amazing she told me it was.

Oh... My.... Gosh.... Girls are frustrating. I think I'm going to convert.

Seriously though, I really wonder if this girl is sort of avoiding me, or if It's all in my head. Just found out that we can't do the downtown thing in the evening as planned, so maybe we can do it during the day, but I just don't know........... Why am I laughing, this is NOT a funny situation for me. How exactly should I approach this guys? I know we have some experts here. Approach the her avoiding me, not the downtown thing.

We had this conversation the other day in AP actually. I still think guys are MUCH worse, but thats from a girls POV.

Ok heres the thing, I may be able to help if you answer these following questions [PM me if you dont want to post the answers here, just because, well, trying to find someone sucks, trust me.]

1) have you talked to her since the dance
2) could you have said anything that either:
a) freaked her out
b) annoyed her
c) made her uncomfortable
3) talk to other girls purposely to make her jealous [ok I hate that, so I am assuming other girls do to.]
4) when she comes around look the other way/act un-natural?

Ethan, the best thing you can do is show confidence and just go up and talk to her. Showing confidence-not cockyness-is extremely attractive to girls.

Sure we are complicated beings, but seriously, some of the smallest stuff can make us happy, remembering something so insignifigant [that is not spelt right, I dont care] such as a favourite song, or something she said at the dance shows that you have some interest, will make her happy just because you remembered.

if she really seems to be avoiding you, and you cant pinpoint a reason, write her a poem [not a song, a poem] and leave it in her locker. dont make it too mushy, but enough that you care about her. [if a guy did that for me, id at least want to become good friends with him (im very picky though, in my defence), it shows that hes not like everyone else]

I really hope that I can help somewhat.
I mean, not that my situation isnt just as [or hell, probably more] complicated than this, but i like to help people, or at least attempt to. :)
