I had this done today!

It is called Sank Ofa and it is the symbol of the wisdom in learning from the past in building for the future. Not the best of pictures but I took it with my phone as I can't seem to find my camera!

oh, that's pretty. reminds me of the tattoo Janet Jackson has.
I really, really want "rock a little" on my inside right wrist, but I'm scared and I can't decide on a font...maybe one day.
others I want:
the TISL dragon on my lower back
"dream on, silly dreamer" in Sanskrit on my forearm (or somewhere)

I love it Pip! I'll bet that hurt like hell on the inside of your wrist. And I thought having it on the top of my foot was bad....
Jazzy... I've wanted the TISL dragon somewhere for quite some time. But, I don't think it'll ever come to be. That would be a cool one, though.

It actually didn't hurt much. It did sting a little especially when she got closer to the hand... where it's quite veiny. My lower back one hurt more. I have heard the top of the foot is really painful. I do fancy one there though.

Sweet...I like it, it's not too simple and definitely not too ornate. I've wanted to get a tatt there for a long time, but something about getting it done in that area freaks me out.....the veins are so close to the surface, and I know the needle would never puncture one of them...but it just seems like it would hurt so much more in that area. Anyway, I love your new tatt!

It really didn't hurt that much! A lot less than when I got one on the lower part of my back. Mind you it was only a quick tattoo so that helped!

Your tat is gorgeous. I have something very similar on my right wrist. I agree about the pain, mine barely hurt except when he came straight down, then I felt something almost like pins and needles into my pinky.

Ooooh...I love it, Pip! It's beautiful!! I'm surprised it didn't hurt that much actually...I've considered getting one there, but that area freaks me out a tad. :) Plus, my grandma isn't allowed to know I have any ink at all, LOL, so I could *never* wear short sleeves around her again....!
Re: the TISL dragon, one of my friends has that on her side, sort of lower back but above the hip, rib-cage area...it's GORGEOUS. I want to get a couple more myself... I already have 3 (a rose on a cross, the constellation Orion in star shapes, and 'The hurt that you feel makes you strong...' on my lower back), but I'm planning on getting 2 more at least. I want the Virgo and Aries symbols, combined somehow (I'm a Virgo with an Aries rising, and I identify with both strongly) on me somewhere...can't decide where. And also some words, probably "remember - reinvent - rectify - rebuild - resilience" or something along those lines, also on me somewhere. In English, they're tied together by the re- at the start, but I'll probably get them in Ukrainian, as my paternal grandma was Ukrainian.
Tattoos are soooooo addictive. :)
