Just a random question, when an artist is on tour, what days of the week do they normally have shows? Random I know, but I was just wondering.

Tuesday March 3rd. That's all.
Honestly though, check out the FM/Stevie/Lindsey/Anyotherartistthatevertoured tour archives, and you'll see that it's any day of the week.

Jimmy Buffett only plays Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays...
He even has a live album by that name.
Must be nice...

Promoters have a tendency to book the larger markets on the weekends with fill dates being added during the week in the smaller markets.

I prefer concerts to be scheduled on Thursday-Saturday. Even for Stevie, I'd have to think hard about going to a show in the middle of the week, especially if she's playing in hell on Earth, or Concord.

I prefer concerts to be scheduled on Thursday-Saturday.I always wanted to have concerts scheduled for mid to late morning, around 10:30 or 11 a.m. There's always been something about that time of day that makes rock concerts seem more palatable to me. Things would be over by 1 or 1:30 in the early afternoon, & you could head over to Frosty Freeze for a cherry bomb & then head home to nap in the hammock in the backyard.

I know a few promoters (for big acts) and whereas they try to do that, generally it doesn't work out if they're on a tight tour schedule and if the target city is already booked by a another act. They need to keep the flow from city to city in a organized scheduled and time it takes to go from one city to another. Even though many artists fly, the stage crew always trucks.
A good, current example: Bruce Springsteen is playing Mon & Tues in LA this month.

For only one example, you could have logged onto Nicksfix and pulled up her Crystal Visions tour dates list and you would have seen that she had shows any day of the week.
