is there something that you are obsessed with? either long-term or recently? let's hear about it.

I have to say I'm obsessed with Diet Mountain Dew. I drink way too many each day.

I'm also obsessed with eyebrows. everyone's. it's probably the first (or second :D ) thing I notice about a person.

I'm obsessed over this coat I saw at Macy's this weekend. But I'm po'. Therefore I am going to completely obsess about it until I just break down and buy it (even though I can't afford it.)

Other obsessions include:
Golden Girls
Clancy
Malcolm in the Middle (recent obsession)
Little House on the Prairie
and Maria (of the non-Ledge variety).

OMG. I love the first one. what a sweet little face - and the bone thing that's as big as her head? So cute.

isn't that funny?? i gave it to her as a joke because neither of the others wanted it, and i figured she wouldn't know what to do with it. but as you can see, she went for it.

Oh.

i like office supplies too. i like fine point pens. how are you today?

i prefer mechanical pencils i have a package of them sitting right here. i am fine.

bic lead breaks too easily. the papermater sharpwriter has a "cushion point" to adjust to writing pressure to reduce lead breakage. and, it's great for taking tests. but wait. there's more. you twist the tip to advance the lead. i also find the eraser to be superior - i should know, because i make lots of mistakes. :distress:

As far as gel pens go, I like the Uniball Signo 207.

I like those ok - I have a few I use at the office - and generally I'm also not big on the gel - but those G-2 are great -the only gel pen that writes smoothly and doesn't skip on me or feel weird...I enjoy them.

But mostly I like a good sturdy fine point pen

My favorite (though mine is a brighter orange):

Oh - those blue pens...while not fine point I don't mind them - though the best part about them is they bounce. Ever tried that?? Just drop them point first onto a hard surface - they bounce!!!

I get entirely too much enjoyment out of that. No other ball point pen has the same bounce as those Bic pens!

^Those two like each other. My boyfriend adopted them when Coffee was a kitten and Venus had just had kittens and Venus nursed Coffee as a surrogate. So, I guess they might think Venus is the mommy. Don't get me wrong, they do still fight sometimes, but mostly get along. Coco, on the other hand, grew up alone for her first 8 years and even though it has been 3 years, she hates them both. But then she hates everyone and everything except for me.

So, Coffee says it was just an unflattering angle!

1. Mechanical pencils. BIC, .5 lead.

2. Burt's Bees lip balm, original.
3. Hand sanitizer. I hang out in the library a lot and therefore use their computers often. And they are dirty.

10. Diet Coke, particularly with Lime.

11. Autumn and everything about it.
12. Stars. See also: My shoelaces, tattoo, random bored drawings.

- Cosmetics. I **** you not, I have at least $300 worth in MAC and Benefit alone. I'm a makeup snob, so I only buy good quality stuff when I can - it's worth the money. My staples are MAC lipstick in MAC Red, MAC Tecknakohl Liner in Graphblack, Benefit cream eyeshadow in Birthday Suit, and usually Covergirl foundation, and Ulta mascara. I also love that new L'Oreal High Intensity Pigments makeup, the eyeshadows are great. I love bright eyeshadows. My collection takes up my whole dresser - pathetic, right? I love false eyelashes, too. The more drag queen-y, the better!

- Wigs/hair extensions. I currently have my hair dyed black, and it's about shoulder length, but I also have extensions in. With extensions, my hair falls to the middle of my shoulderblades. I put them in myself, because it's a lot cheaper and easier to mess with, as I change haircolors often. I also wear a lot of wigs, more now than ever because I started working at a costume shop. I just got a fabulous red one, which I've been wearing out lately:

- Fashion. I rarely dress casual, much to the chagrin of my employer and my friends. I love cute dresses and skirts (the shorter the better), corsets, stockings, vinyl clothing, skinny pants, cut up band t-shirts, scarves, hats, gloves, everything. Also, anything and everything leopard print.
- SHOES. omg shoes. Love, love, LOVE boots - especially go go boots. I have them in every color. I also have several pairs of stilletto heels, flats, combat/fetish boots, sandals, blah blah blah - too many to count.
- Jewelry, like this necklace I just got at work..

- Old blues and soul music
- Stupid kids toys and action figures
- Family Guy, The Simpsons

- Inanimate objects which shouldn't have faces but do anyway
- Bettie Page, Elvira, Vampira, all "dark" pinups
- Fender Telecasters
- Gibson Les Pauls
- Gretsch
- Camel No. 9s

.......not really an obsession but I'm very particular about how I get dressed:). I have to lay all my clothes out and then get dressed from the top down - so my t-shirt/jacket etc first and then eventually my socks. The clothes are laid out in the order that I'll put them on.

Some people find it strange the first time they see me do it but I've always got dressed that way so I don't notice it:laugh:. So not an obsession........... more English eccentricity...............

- SHOES. omg shoes. Love, love, LOVE boots - especially go go boots. I have them in every color. I also have several pairs of stilletto heels, flats, combat/fetish boots, sandals, blah blah blah - too many to count.
- Jewelry, like this necklace I just got at work..

LOVE the Rocky Horror Pic!!!! Great movie:) My kids love it too. We let them watch it when they were a little older around 1997-1998. The first time I saw it in the early 90's, I about freaked out but learned to love the campiness of it. Such a fun movie. My hubby loved it when it first came out but I never saw it until we lived in UT of all places when he was getting his Masters degree:lol:

Hmm.. Gladiator. 3:10 to Yuma. I'm thinking I'm seeing a pattern here, Miss Vicky. A pattern that looks a lot like Russell Crowe ;)

Russell Crowe (as "Ben Wade") is definitely the reason why I saw the movie the first time, but there's so much more to this movie than eye candy. Actually, the most outstanding performance (among a superb cast) in this film is by Ben Foster, who plays Crowe's obsessively devoted yet morally devoid second-in-command, "Charlie Prince."

The film is all about respect. The respect that Wade's gang has for him. The respect Ben Wade has for Christian Bale's character, "Dan Evans." The lack of respect that Evans's son has for his father. It's also about redemption. About Evans redeeming himself in the eyes of his wife and son. About Wade redeeming himself in his own eyes.

The one thing that I really love about this film is that the characters are portrayed as full human beings. The "good guys" aren't all saints and the "bad guys" aren't all evil. There's also a fair amount of humor and raw emotion. Of course, being a western, there's also a lot of violence. Stuff gets blown up, people get killed and bad guys strut around looking cool.

So yeah, Crowe looked hot - and spent almost the whole movie in chains... yay for my bondage fetish  - but the film itself is what kept me coming back.

I scanned a couple of these pages, and lip gloss made an appearance in both. I second that. BTW, I just found the best lip balm. It's mint, but it has SPF 15. It doesn't taste bad, and it's the right amount of shiny-ness. Unfortunately, it was $12. But my lips are worth it. Plus, it's a fat stick, and I love a FAT STICK. lol.
Your lips, like your undereyes, don't really have their own moisture, like the normal oils of your skin don't go there. I had a different one with SPF 15, but it tasted like ass, so this mint one is great. It's Glo spa brand (there's a line over the "o") and it's called The Mint Balm.

queso pwns salsa :P

well, since it is an obsession, I might as well debate - Home made salsa fresca from the random mexi place up the street. They make a hot version, and a mild version, and I buy one of each (for a dollar) and mix them.

Wait, you just said cheese pwns salsa. I just realized that. Yeah, of course it does. But I can barely have one without the other, especially if chips are involved.
Best queso - Pepperjack. Would I marry it? Yes I would. It would be a joint ceremony with me, pepperjack, and brie. Salsa would be the best man and the maid of honor. ;)
Also, I hate the thing that is "pwnd". That could be an obsession, but I'm just relegating it to a mild internet annoyance, along with the others, no big.

LOL, my grandparents always used to have Bridge mix. I think they ate it while they were playing Bridge.
I know. how sad am I?
I'm totally obsessed with eye make-up. I just spent about two hours in Sephora the other day. I could spend an entire day in there. Lorac, Urban Decay, Too Faced, Make Up Forever, I could go on and on.
word.

I live for the day there's a Sephora in the tri-state area. :(

They just opened one a few towns over from me. However, it is inside JC Penney. Somehow Sephora and JCP don't seem to go together to me. Am I wrong? Do you know anything about these? I haven't been there yet. I'm wondering if it's a full-size store (within a store) or if it just a little kiosk or something.

Paula, if you really like make up, skincare, haircare, fragrance, etc., DON'T GO. You will spend lots of time and money there. I never used to understand my friend's fascination with the place. Then I went with her. Now I'm addicted. Like crack.

It's not just make up. It's seriously everything a girl (or sharp dressed man) needs. Cammie! You have to take her!

sorry  :o I'm just not much of a girlie girl. And I'm such a creature of habit. If I find something I like, I stick to it and rarely go out of that little box. so we could actually have a store right here and I wouldn't know it  but no, we don't.
