My angel is turning 7 (already!) and I'd like ideas about what is popular among other kids his age.......I know what he likes, he's pretty bloodthirsty, but I dont want to go there....I'd kind of like to encourage his creative side (give this kid a roll of tape and a stapler and he's happy!)

BUT: I dont know what is popular anymore... I know he likes Pirates stuff and Karate stuff but does anyone have any other ideas?

that moon in my room sounds cool!

I actually have the Karate Kid series thats why he's now on a Karate kick! Bless him!

Legos are always a cool toy to have, I'd even play Legos with him

My daughter is hosting a pizza party for him (I helped!) sunday night so we've got some friends coming...

I want to thank everyone for their input, its much appreciated
(ps: my son even likes Stevie Nicks!)

:woohoo: Today's the big day!!!! Gosh, time goes too quick :distress: I wish he'd stay little forever (except for the times when I need someone to get up on the roof and clean it off and the rain gutters too!)

well, I gave him $$$ (not too much, Im broke!) but he did get some neat presents all in all, with the best one being a NEW BIKE! (how do you compete with that???) He also got a cool Captain Jack Sparrow Halloween costume and a bunch of Pirate stuff to go with it. Since he likes to create things (his favorite attachment medium is tape!) he got some crafts stuff, paint, colored pencils and colored glitter glue. During his visitation, his dad gave him a cool army helicoptor and a bunch of army men. Army anything is always a treat for this kid  but, I guess they're old standbys

ps: I also gave him tape! he was thrilled believe it or not!

haha! Sara's the same way. She likes to play with the stapler, and I have to keep my scotch tape hidden so I can have it when I need it. She's quite the creative little thing.

Sounds like he had a good birthday!

Man when I was 7 i liked He-man and Ghostbusters. Not sure what kids like nowadays. Video games? Maybe not much in the creative side. If you wanna be creative, get him like a 3/4 kids guitar. Maybe a classical or something...see if he wants to learn how to play. They "say" thats good for the young and growing mind!
