WOW, I just watched Rhiannon Part 2 on You Tube from the 8/24/07 Borgota show, and I've heard reports of the better ending but after seeing it, all I can say is again WOW. She's been doing awful "All The Same's" for years now. So to finally just have the girls sing that part and her not to do that line all together is a great decision. And then over that she screams the Take me With You to the Sky, Dream On part. And if you see the video she flails her arms in the air as she sings it, Exactly like she did on the Midnight Special, I was in awe. Stevie is currently performing at her best level since I'm gonna go all the way back to 1986. She's way better then Enchanted Stevie, Dance Stevie, 87-93 Stevie and I'll even say better then Street Angel Stevie.

I have to disagree on this. I am rather disappointed in this version of Rhiannon. IMO, SA tour was her best since the late 70's early 80's and nothing compares. You know, this video clips off right as she is about to say "I was just telling Waddy that I kind of slipped back into 1977 there for a moment...sorry girls...hahahahaha...that happens every once and a while"...THAT WAS NO WHERE NEAR 1977 RHIANNON...LMFAO!!! Anyway, all in all it was a good performance, but to say it was better than most of her past tours is a little far fetched in my book...yes, different, but not better! Just my opinion!!!

i am with you - that was sub-par for me ( just diff. opinion and likes i guess.:sorry:)
it seemed more lazy than inspired and not only was she not in the same neighborhood of the range she used to sing it in (in those old rhiannons that you mentioned), she wasn't in the same state
different strokes for different folks huh

I have said this in other threads....I think the whole thing was a flub and the ending was a bit of a train wreck... I think the slipping back into '77 comment was about her being so in the moment that she forgot where she was in the song, because up until that part she was doing amazingly well I thought!

yep.
I don't think it was necessarily sub-par, but it was spur of the moment and different...that's what I loved. to hear those words come from her mouth and feel a little of that passion (at least I felt it) was great. the pitch or note or whatever may not have been from 1977, but for a second I felt like I was seeing and hearing the intensity from 1977.

i see your point -
maybe i was just so excited cos it had been so talked up.
kind of like napolean dynamite.
if you hear everyone say " it's awesome" enough and then go see it - well it is so different of a movie that it might be a let down if you have super high expecations.
but if you just kind of stumble onto it, it's much funnier.
that make sense?
(and the rhiannon ending doesn't seem as rough after seeing it a couple times - lol)

She completely forgot where she was in the song. She did not do it on purpose. EVERY word and EVERY move is exactly the same at EVERY show unless she F's up...
On the 2005 Hershey dvd, when she turns around and starts to un-ravel her sleeves and wave her arms during Rhiannon, you know she's just going through the motions. Not to say she doesn't have her moments, but they are very rare these days. "All the same... Rhiannon" LOL
That being said, I love her to death & I can't wait to see her again! :woohoo:
