View Full Version : Stevie Artwork By JoLynn~

08-27-2007, 10:21 PM
Hi again,
I am not sure if this would go in the "Stevie" section, or "Chit Chat"...but here it is, LOL.
My friend JoLynn, a long time AMAZING artist, who has given some of her work TO Stevie in the past, is thinking of offering prints for sale of her work, which she has NEVER offered before.
She asked me to post a sample of her exquisite talent, with this drawing she gave to Stevie, and see what the folks here at the Ledge think, would you be interested in purchasing JoLynn's Stevie art prints?

http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o26/TimelessFinery/JoLynnArt.jpg

She will be reading the replies, she cannot join up, since memberships are closed,
so please post your thoughts to her, in this thread :)
Thank you!
Barbara

I think Stevie's ass needs to be more bubbly.

Has she done any of Stevie's face? I'd be interested in seeing those...

Excellent work. I love the detail in the hair and the way the whole image is shaded to imply depth and movement.

hmm, something about Lynn and being creative.

I'm not the type of person to buy Stevie art, but since your friend is reading this thread- I'd like to say that her work is beautiful.

I know, once I open it up, and start fiddling, I can't stop, and HOURS go by!
What is your fav plugin? I love a lot of those, and I know there are like a million things PS does that I don't know how to use.
For example, what is an "action", and what does it do?
No clue.

I hope to have more of JoLynn's art to share, either this evening or tomorrow!

I think this drawing, or something similar, would look FABULOUS on notecards and envelopes, can you see it on the left corner of an envelope???

I really, really like the 1st drawing posted. The second one of her on the floor, that's a cool art piece. The RAL tourbook cover shot, not so crazy about that one. Stevie looks a tad alarmed. As a whole this work is out of sight. I'd get a copy of the standing piece. AND I might add, I couldn't draw a stick figure if I had to, SO what the hell do I know? :wavey:

Umm, I guess I must have my head in the sand or something because I had no idea there were free Photoshop plugins out there. Wow, I just googled that and found a whole bunch. Ok, my Photoshop addiction just got worse. :D
Thank you for mentioning that.

I wonder if action is used for animation of some sort?

Okay, time to brush up on my Photoshop skills. I too have only used the tip of the iceburg regarding what you can do with that program.

All three are quite good, I like the first two especially. The second drawing is my favorite. I really love it. I would definately purchase notecards and envelopes of her prints. Your friend has amazing talent, thank you both for sharing.

Oh and for you photoshop addicts, you need to get me addicted because I have never even tried it.

If you get the programme, and start playing with graphics/photos, you will just not be able to stop!
For example, you can take a basic beautiful photograph like this:
http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o26/TimelessFinery/Stevie%20Photos/wow-2.jpg

And while some people prefer that, I love to play, and came up with:

All done in Photoshop! It is great FUN!

Hi Kathy,

I don't know, she has to look into that, as she has never sold her work before,
so she has to find a good printer, etc.
Oh, and glad you like my photo fun :)
