So, Bobbye Hall and Taku are pretty much tied as my favorite percussionist. But really, what the hell happened to Bobbye? I heard she became a heroin addict, and began selling everything she had received from anyone "famous."
Anyone know more to the story?

She's still working as a "first call" session percussionist.
Although, the most recent album I could find with her on it was Dwight Yoakam's Blame The Vain from 2005. (the more recently released albums I found with her on them were all from sessions she did in the 70's)

Hmm thats interesting. I wonder why she quit touring with Stevie? I wonder if she just got tired of touring in general.
I wonder if Stevie called her when she was looking for someone to replace Taku. Speaking of replacements, I wish she would have gotten Roy Bittan to tour with her again. I would've died.

I'd have to say he was decent at best. I think he's been the least talented of Stevie's pianists/keyboardists.

She also played on Bob Segers "Roll Me Away" along with the rest of the crew from Bella Donna and Wild Heart band

I have often wondered what happened to her too. She is old now..she toured with Janis Joplin for God's sake.

But I remember that a whole bunch of personal effects of Bobbye Hall's related to her Stevie work were auctioned on eBay & sold in Goldmine & Wynnco about five or so years ago, including a single tab sheet for "Long Distance Winner" (which they must have rehearsed for an old tour). The seller scanned the first page, so that's how I learned the chords. Very useful ... when they scan the first page for eBay.
There were also personal notes & letters from Bobbye's belongings, & tour & hotel paraphernalia.

Cornell? He's been Stevie's pianist for this CV tour. He's decent, I'll post his version of Rhiannon if you'd like.
Yeah, I remember seeing a lot of stuff like that on some website that I can no longer find or remember the name of. I love that song, I wish they would bring it back out, same with SotM.

With this whole "Demos" record and the little percussion break in the middle of "The Dealer" I was thinking what ever happened to Bobbye Hall? Is she still around? If so it would be cool if Stevie had her on some of these new/old songs...
