LOL - it wasnt a poll. Especially not an "official" one.

I was just stating that the Mark Ronson CD is out of this world fantastic. If you are having a party within the next 3 weeks, put this CD on and watch everyone FLIP! It's fabulous.

I like Maroon 5 and Adam is a cutie but...uh....their latest CD blows.

I love the band and think that Adam is fabulous (did you catch them on the TODAY show on Friday?). But the CD just isn't my favorite from start to finish. Maybe Im a music snob but its gotta sound FAB from A to Z for me to really give a release the thumbs up. This time, the Maroon guys didnt deliver like they did with JANE. That being said, I'm gonna see them in October! :D

Get the Mark Ronson CD --- you really wont be sorry. Its amazing.

Mark Ronson is a British music producer, artist and cofounder of Allido Records. So far in his career he is best known for his song "Ooh Wee" featuring Ghostface Killah and Nate Dogg, the cover version of The Smiths song "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" which featured Daniel Merriweather on vocals, and his collaboration with Lily Allen on his version of the Kaiser Chiefs track "Oh My God". His debut release, VERSION, has received critical acclaim and features Amy Winehouse doing her cover of the Hathaway hit "Valerie". The CD is AWESOME!!

Satellite Party - Ultra Payloaded

Not one bad track on it. I played it non-stop for like 3 weeks, never got sick of it. And I'm seeing them this Saturday. :blob1:

I haven't found a particularly stand-out album yet this year. Some "okay" and "pretty good" ones, but I'm keeping my ears open for something better.

BTW: although I REALLY like this song, it's not among the 8 best songs of the record. go figure.

Oh, and I'm gonna check out mark ronson.....

Nuno's already left the band! He and the drummer both quit right before the N. American tour kicked off. Nick Perri is the new guitar player and Jordan Plosky is the new drummer.

 I just found out what he was doing, and then he already stopped.

i guess he's a really good quitter.

I think Nuno and the drummer were sick of the "Perry Farrell and his wife, the hot back-up singer" show.

Meh- they're okay. Maybe I need to hear something else from their album to "grab" me.

Based on the few snippets I've heard, Robert Pollard's upcoming album "Coast To Coast Carpet Of Love" looks to be the album of the year, at least for me. The Takeovers "Bad Football" kicks ass too.

i am completely losing my mind over how good patti scialfa's play it as it lays is. this is easily my favorite release so far this year, surpassing patty griffin and grace potter's albums. it's ****ing phenomenal. i can even forgive the grammatical error in the title - THAT is some high praise.

bruce - i finally got my hands on mark ronson's album tonight and i'm anxious to listen!
