I'm not really thrilled. I'd much rather have had Kathy Griffin.

Whoopi is the only one? I thought they had two open spots? There might be hope for KG yet!
Either way, I love Whoopi and I think she'll be a good fit. She seems like she could keep it together when Hasselblech starts shooting her mouth off.

I would have hired her as a cushion. Oh well.

I much prefer Kathy, but you know there's no way in hell Bawbwah would hire her. And if she did, Kathy would be so limited & censored it wouldn't be worth if for me. Can you imagine Kathy reading the headlines for the day? "Hohan arrested again? That f*cking crack whore!" Yeah. Not gonna work.

Totally. A low-octane version of Kathy Griffin is better than no Kathy Griffin at all. She is so quick with retorts... I'm sure she would keep Elizabitch on her best behavior.
Whoopi... on the other hand... zzzzzzzzz. Her morning radio show is just beyond terrible. She is forgetful, unfunny and is surprisingly lacking the gift of gab. She's great when she's going off of a script, but she's just not much of an ad libber.

Whoopi is always very intelligent in such forums... so I don't think she'll last long.

I couldn't pinpoint why I wasn't thrilled about Whoopi as a choice, but I think this may be it. I do agree with Mike that Whoopi may be able to keep Hasselbitch in line, but otherwise, she kinda bores me. oh well, maybe they'll get Kathy to fill the other vacancy.

I had to read that 3 times to get it. but, I get it and I lol'd.

I can't wait to see the political fights between Whoopi and Hasselback. I liked Whoopi's show that was canceled a while back, it was really edgy and pushed the envelope.

Whoopi may roll her eyes..but I doubt she will take Elizabeth to the mat.
She will play peacekeeper and be glad she has a job. I hope I'm wrong..we'll see.

Whoopi would not have been my first choice. But maybe she'll be more alive than she was on her horrible chat show not too long ago.
As long as Baba Wawa is in charge, Kathy will NOT be a permanent host. Sad but true.
I, personally, love it when Joan Rivers is on. She still cracks me up.

Hassleback in clever enough to argue facts. For example, in a show this week and in reference to Al Gore's son getting caught and pleading guilty to drug possession, etc., Joy referred to the Bush daughters as drunks, etc. EH corrected her and said yes, they parties in college and their youth, just like everyone else, but now, they are doing large amounts of charity work. It is stuff like this that makes the D's look idiotic when they argue.

i just seriously wonder how many more seasons this show has left. do they really think they'll get a ratings boost out of this? the show was tired before rosie, even. no offense to those of you who like it, but i can watch old women argue about political **** every day at work, so i have no need for it anymore at all. unfortunate... cuz i actually have some respect for babwa wawa as a journalist.

Well when Rosie was on they had their highest ratings in the show's entire running, but they screwed that one!
