Lindsay Lohan was arrested again for suspicion of driving under the influence and also had cocaine in her pants pockets. Good Lord...does this girl ever learn? Can you say idiot?

What is wrong with these girls? The part that I dont get is why they even drive??? I would GLADLY take a cab and party my ass off (and do). They can afford a cab, a limo, a reliable driver. I just don't get it!

What a joke she has become. Which is sad, because out of all of those whores I figured she was one with a shred of talent. Now? Not so much.
She was chasing another car right in front of the Santa Monica police station. It's back to rehab....then jail.

What she did is dumb as hell. But I'm not going to be all ****ed in my head and start name calling people with substance abuse problems that they obviously have no control over.
What she is doing is not rare or unique only to her social status. It's just visible, and therefore shocking to the straightlaced. This is a problem that affections millions of people, and it's not my place to act like they're subterranean mutants.
Also, who's to say it isn't a cry for help? She obviously needs to spend some time in jail, and then some time in rehab... if we know it, I'd think she does too. There are actually people who do things to get thrown back in, because they know they can't handle themselves outside without their crutch yet.

I think it's a race between her and Britney Spears to see which one overdoses (fatally) first. She clearly needs to go back to rehab but rehab is going to be useless for her unless a) she really wants to get clean and b) she avoids the friends and situations that tempt her. My God the chick got out of rehab and flew to Vegas, nothing says "I'm commited to my sobriety like a flight to Vegas to party your ass off the minute you get loose from rehab does it?"
It still saddens me to see this, I don't think she has a clue as to how she is ****ing up her career, her life. It's just sad.
P.S.--She was driving on a suspended Driver's License, she allegedly was in possession of cocaine, AND blew at two seperate times a .12 and a .13. .08 is the legal limit in Cali. Oh, and she's already got a prior DUI pending. NOT good. Maybe Paris can give her some advice on her jail experience!

i don't pity her either, being that she is a celebrity gives her more options than most people her in same situation~ she willingly knew what she was doing~ & i am so sick of kid celebrities growing up & using their being a celeb so young as an excuse for their behavior~ i mean when you see the pics of her since she has gotten out of rehab, you could tell she hadn't changed, the whole rehab thing was a plot to get out of her prior arrest/drinking problems & she went straight back to her old ways in just a matter a a couple of weeks~ yeah she really learned alot:distress: ~

Actually, if you had her problems, i.e. medical diagnosis, you'd be hooked on drugs and unable to get off of them. I think it is laughable that people think addiction somehow is easier for the rich. But, they do.
Also, what does her addiction have to do with her talent. Every single person she has worked with has raved about her talent  I mean Judy G. was a pill popping lush, but when she hit the mic. she stunned
In the end, I feel sorry for her and wish her well - just as I would anyone else.

Oh please. People in my family have been battled addiction to drugs, alcohol, etc. They also didn't have a fraction of the resources available to them that Lohan has. Still...they made it through without laughing in the face of people that were trying to help. They ended up beating it. Without millions of dollars, on call doctors, or any of it.
As far as addiction in relation to talent...I think there is a connection. It's easier to remember lines and act when you're not sweating out last night's eight ball. And to be honest, if Judy hadn't captured the gay audience...she would have been dead a lot sooner. She looked and sounded like utter **** for the last several years of life, but the Marys still wanted all they could get from her.

Interestingly, you just dealt publicly with a horrid and violent relationship based on substance abuse if not addiction - that seemingly would have shown you how people in that situation are controlled by the drugs, etc.
Also, what chance after chance has she been given? She got a DUI and now she has another. She was released on bail, just like anyone else likely could have done. She will go to trial and face the consequences. So, I fail to see what special treatment is she being given?

I don't really care what she does in her spare time, but I do feel sorry for her that she unnecessarily puts herself in the spotlight like this all the time. Now the media will keep throwing up on her and I think that her kind of problems are better dealt with in a more private environment.

In the end - I feel sorry for like I feel sorry for any addict unable to come out it. With her though - I think the glaring light makes her seem like she does not want to come out of it. In my experience, almost all addicts are like that.
But, maybe she will haul herself through it.
On edit - apparently, she is not going back to Promises, which I submit is rather a joke of a rehab facility. Hopefully, she will get some tough love at the new place and it will work.

Lindsay Lohan might be adding a whole lotta striped jumpsuits to her wardrobe.
Already facing charges for driving under the influence and misdemeanor hit and run in Beverly Hills, Lindsay racked up even more charges last night in Santa Monica, and is now facing big time jail time.
The maximum sentence she faced for the original DUI and hit and run charges was 6 months for each. Last night, Lindsay was charged with another DUI -- if convicted of both DUIs, she could face up to one year in jail. And the horror doesn't stop there! She was also charged with possession cocaine, which is a felony and carries a maximum of three years in jail.
La Lohan is accused of driving on a suspended license as well, which carries a maximum of one year in jail. Her frenemy Paris Hilton was sentenced to 45 days for the same offense.
As far as the allegation of bringing cocaine into a correctional facility -- our sources tell us that this charge will most likely be dropped, because it is only enforced if someone transports drugs to an inmate in custody. La Lohan didn't willingly go to jail last night!
Judges don't take kindly to arrestees whose crimes occur so close together -- so it's quite possible that the proverbial book will be thrown at her. In a worst case scenario, Lilo could face SIX YEARS in jail!

I think the PA threatened Lohan with bad publicity...
at this point, i don't think threatening occurred nor is necessary. lohan is walking bad publicity each time she does something or opens her mouth -- on her own accord! yes, in light of the recent photos that surfaced i'm sure it's possible but i'm highly doubting it. i'd be interested to know how long this pa has been employed by lohan. something tells me its only been recently and perhaps, this girl wasn't used to cutting lines of blow and polishing shot glasses. jmo. i mean, for christs sakes -- her MOTHER picked her up.
i have a feeling the pa saw the drugs and decided, "**** this. i'm out of here." because you know that somehow, someway, it would get flipped that those around her are the ones poisoning her, etc. a la britney spears. why? because these girls cannot take responsibility for their own actions -- more importantly, their crew of cronies who only serve as hangers-on don't want her to.
i dare say in the wake of her new film, this could either help or hinder -- people will either go opening day to see the trainwreck (because i'm certain she was all kinds of cracked out while filming) or the latest stint of a poor little rich girl with problems will turn people off and no one will go.
she needs some serious therapy and a stint in jail -- a lengthy stint. also, i think her mother needs some counseling. she's too busy trying to turn her children into goldmines.

Britney had her breaking point at one time also. Lohan might not shave her head, but sooner or later she'll do something to retaliate.
If OK Magazine's upcoming cover story (in which Britney cooperated) is to be believed, Britney's breaking point hasn't really ended. No, this could be more her Whitney Houston on Diane Sawyer moment.

i may have been some places and done and seen some things. i won't go so far as to incriminate myself on a board, for people to throw in my face later, though. :P
while there are people on this planet that i do not like, i can't bring myself to throw around judgement as easily as some others do. it bothers me, really... people make mistakes; some people make the same mistakes over and over before they can snap out of it. that doesn't make them scum or any less valuable than any one else. to be honest, i'd rather sit with a room full of junkies than a room full of people talking **** about something they know nothing about. a lifestyle flaw is more easily repaired than a character flaw, i think.
and lol, your use of quote made me notice a typo that i made. "affections" should have been "affects". oops.

sadly a little planning would prevent a lot of heartache. it's not as if she goes out not knowing she's going to drink/get high
Exactly. It appears that she relapsed yesterday. From personal experience I can tell you that you don't wake up in the morning and go "Well, I'm going to out and drink and use today and get arrested." Who knows what triggered it? That's the thing with addiction. It creeps up on you. Just when you think you've got it all handled and under control is when you have to be most careful. Her short time of sobriety and being fresh out of rehab made her a statistically huge risk for recidivism. The most frustrating thing about the disease is that every single case is different. Some people get it on the first go round when they hit rock bottom and for others it takes many, many attempts before they can become successful at managing the disease. There is no cure for the disease, it can only be managed.

On edit - apparently, she is not going back to Promises, which I submit is rather a joke of a rehab facility. Hopefully, she will get some tough love at the new place and it will work.
Hopefully she's going to someplace like Hazelden. It would take her out of Hollywood and put her in a more structured environment. It's a complete 360 from Promises (not that I'm saying Promises has a bad program).

She really has a problem. I feel for her. She's been thrown into this huge circus like atmosphere at a very young age with way too much money and freedom. She's too young to handle it. She really has no guidance in that her parents are far from her. Plus it would seem with her father's admitted history that it runs in the family.
Precisely. Sadly, most child stars end up on a path of destruction. The money, the access to whatever they want, the ability to go wherever they want.... a very adult lifestyle for a teenager, and they lack the maturity to cope. In Lohan's case, heredity is also working against her.

That's exactly what I was getting at. Fame and money look all pretty and great but for some people it can also be devastating. I had to get away from it after only a few years time and I was only on the periphery of it. Not to mention I was completely sober at the time and was horrified at how dysfunctional, incestuous and sordid the whole thing could be. It was very ugly and it took me a while before I could look at it in a way in which I could enjoy it again.

the latest from perez...
The producers of Lindsay Lohan’s new movie are lending their support to the perpetually troubled star.
The actress had been taking tango lessons for her role in the upcoming film, Dare to Love Me.
Following Lohan’s arrest on Tuesday morning, the production company for the movie released the following statement:
“Bowline Entertainment is standing behind Lindsay. Lindsay is insured for the movie as of now.”
It’s nice to know that she will have a job when she gets out of rehab.
Unfortunately she may be heading to jail then!
And going forward, Lohan will probably be asked to pay for her own insurance on films. That’s gonna be EXPENSIVE.
also, he says this was the second of lohan's two assistants.

I was thinking about this whole thing as I heard it on the way in to work today. I've never been an addict, so I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be to kick an addiction. I've never liked Lindsey Lohan. But I don't hate her or wish the girl dead. I hope she gets the help she needs. It seems as though she does not have a good support system (i.e. crappy parents) so it might be even harder for her to get on, and stay on, the right track. Especially if she continues to keep company with the same people.
My main criticism of her is the fact that she continues to get into her car after getting drunk and high. Yes, probably everyone has driven under the influence at least once. Most of us have just been lucky enough to not get caught. This girl could have someone drive her anywhere she wanted to go. And I understand that she might not have planned to go out and get drunk and high, but she did. I'm sure she could have found someone to drive her around even at that late hour. But she was probably more concerned about chasing her pa then worrying about endangering herself and others.
Look at FM. I'm not positive, of course, but I don't remember any of them ever being arrested for DUI or possession of drugs. And they were drunk and high most of the time for several years. How did they manage that? They didn't get in their cars and drive around. Hell, Stevie doesn't even have a license (really, come on, you're so busy you can't get a license? if i had her money, i'd be wanting to drive a kick ass car).
So, I guess I'm saying, people can get drunk and high all they want without having to endanger anyone but themselves. It just takes a tiny bit of thought and consideration.

This is true. And I agree with you. In my view, a big part of the problem is that once you get to a certain point, you really just don't give a damn anymore, and your scope of vision is WAY too narrow to even begin that sort of rational thought process.
Another problem, I think, is the fact that we live in a society where, no, it's not okay to get drunk and high all you want without endangering yourself. You can't sit in your house and do this or that, because as soon as someone turns their back on you, or as soon as the pigs get wind, they are coming in.
I knew (know, unless they died) people who would do **** in their cars or where-ever else just to avoid the risk of losing their homes. The war on drugs cannot be won, and John Q. Taxpayer is pumping money into a bureaucratic system that has no positive impact on the numbers and no proven results. But it will NEVER stop, because they get paid as long as they can find someone to punish or treat. Alternative lifestyles are persecuted by every branch on every side of every aisle, and it's ****ing sickening. And now I'm all riled up. lol.

no, i'm not the man i used to be lately
see, you met me at an interesting time
if my past is any sign of your future
you should be warned before i let you inside

i will break my way out when it rains
just to get back to the place where i started
so i can want you back all over again

hold on to whatever you find, baby
hold on to whatever will get you through
hold on to whatever you find, baby

heart should be a good show -- the venue in atlantic city isn't terribly huge either so it should be kind of intimate. i was in the air on my way to boston as live earth was happening so i heard bits and pieces of it on xm (thanks, airtran) -- i wasn't that impressed with live earth in general or the performances, tbh. i didn't get to hear genesis but i've always been a collins fan so i hope he won't disappoint -- and if he does, i didn't pay to see the band

our top story is actually some budget bull**** that no one understands anyway.
crime wave? violent crime wave? what's going down up there? (down up!)
its been going on since last fall -- to my knowledge, it hasn't really slowed down all that much -- there are several murders that allegedly had no witnesses (which means no one wants to be a snitch cause they'll get shot). there were 7 murders over the weekend -- and no one has an answer -- 3 happened in a crowded west philadelphia (GHETTO TO THE MAXX) bar. they're finally discussing this at 4:18.

i listened to some of live earth, and really, i thought it seemed so.. pre-processed and canned. i didn't catch anything that sounded spontaneous or touching to the crowd or anything. a bit later, i was sitting at the bar, and we were all watching it on tv, talking about the same thing. snooze.
so you are enjoying the on-air experience, yes? i'm a bit backwards.. i like working on-air in the studio, but i absolutely despise going to events and talking to people in the flesh. i'm a radio hermit.

Having to follow that Diana concert the week before was rough. I haven't seen a show that well produced in a long time. The performances were top notch. And it felt like a celebration.
Live Earth had it's moments though. The thing with Genesis at that show was that they sounded small. Collins and Genesis have always had a big sound, IMO. Phil stood in front and sang the vocals and then would jump on the drums and play for about a minute. They had another drummer there. They did Invisible Touch (never a favorite of mine) and anemic sounding versions of Land Of Confusion and Turn It On Again. And I don't think it was because their mix was bad. It just seemed like half the band was missing or to borrow a line form Stevie "fell off the stage."

i loved loved loved being on air -- and i love doing voiceover work. i won't know if it will turn into something more permanent as right now, the budget is iffy. going to events really doesn't bother me all that much...even though you then realize some of the people contributing to your paycheck? are crazier than **** house rats. i've met some really cool people too.

on sirius, the chill channel (35) is my favorite.
dude, everybody in this industry has some sort of defect. and by defect, i don't mean "normal, every day problem".
you have a super voice, and voice over work could be a bitchin' side gig for you. you can cut some demos and post through some different agencies.. then charge people out the ass to read an 8.5 x 11 sheet. you don't have to work for a company to do that. it takes you, what, all of 15 minutes to make the cuts, and rates are like $150 + for however much they can fit on one side of one sheet. smaller stations generally go that route for their liner and show production needs... they don't have the luxury of having the money to hire someone just for that purpose. i used to do voice overs for stations around this area, but not anymore. my voice has just dropped a considerable amount (pitch wise), and i'm not comfortable with it anymore. i'm trying to slip out of the field.. slowly but surely. i think this fall/winter and early spring will be my last, but it is something to fall back on 'cuz it's natural to me.

Actually, I'd bet money that's exactly what drove her to act in such a foolish and irresponsible manner.
I agree with you to a point. BUT. Do drugs & alcohol cloud your judgement? Yes. Do drunk/high people do things they wouldn't do if they were sober? Yes. Do drugs & alcohol make people more relaxed & release their inhibitions? Yes. Do drugs & alcohol make you completely incapable of making a decision? NO. I know what you're saying, and I'm sure her being high contributed to her decision to chase someone else's car with her own, but it was her decision. Well thought out? Absolutely not. Taking into account the **** she'd be in if caught? No. But the drungs & booze didn't force her to drive. Plenty of people who are messed up choose not to. That's why it's called "under the influence." and not "under the control of."

no, i wasn't being sarcastic. LL has been peddled out by her mother since she was very young, her father has drug/alcohol problems and has been in & out of jail, and now her mother is engaging in these habits with her instead of encouraging her to be healthy. if she weren't rich and famous - if she were just a girl from your town - would you have sympathy for her? i'm not even a huge LL sympathizer, but i do find her story sad.

But then again, if she is drinking and driving on a regular basis, it could be the start of a serious problem...

It's so disturbing, isn't it? It's as though her fame (and therefore, MONEY) is more important than her health as far as her mother is concerned. I don't even see it as enabling; I see it as exploitation.
We should feel sorry for anyone who is in active addiction. Feeling sorry for someone doesn't condone or enable behaviors. A true addict (whether it be drugs or alcohol) is going through things we could never understand. People have given up their children for drugs. She has an opportunity to get herself clean and has FAR more advantages than the average addict on the street. I hope she takes advantage of those advantages and turns her life around before she kills herself or someone else.

Exactly - her addiction and her subsequent treatment have nothing to do with her socio economic level. In fact, in very many ways, it has been proven that the pressure of such expectation at such a young age greatly fuels the need for the escapism provided by the drugs.
According to a former prosecutor on a local talk radio show, LL's two DUI cases could be consolidated with the drug possession. Jail time is very likely. There is very little to mitigate this. She went to rehab for six weeks and just days after her release it's back to drugs/alcohol. DUI's, accidents, hit and run, reckless driving...she is a threat to public safety.

Not to mention that Hohan was driving someone else's Yukon, with the owner sitting in the passenger seat. Why is someone with a suspended license, with a pocket full of blow, being allowed to drive your car????? It makes no sense but it all seems like a cry for help to me. Chasing someone around in the wee hours, screaming and hollaring in the parking lot...the girl is fuc&ed up. She needs long term treatment.
BTW..Strand...i was watching Larry King and they were saying in Calif. there are multiple options for her. She could do like a 12 month live in rehab and avoid jail. It is going to be completely up to the Prosecutor how this is charged. With Paris, she was on Probation, so the Judge had carte blanche to do whatever he wanted. The Prosecutor will decide how aggressively to go after Lindsay. So we shall see, but it seems like she could avoid jail. She may have to go away to rehab for a long time, lose her license for years, be uninsurable in films...but she could avoid Big Bubba. :p

There are two issues here. First, she needs to begin her recovery. Second, she needs to pay her debt to society for the crimes committed. Chances are she cannot recover in jail. So, if recovery is the goal, then jail is not going to achieve that.
In the end, I am still predicting the six months because she has two DUI's, one (possibly two) felony (I think) possession charges. Plus, the limelight on this case is extreme. So, any slack she might have been cut IMO is not going to be there.
But, time will tell and IMO six months is fair and from what I have read consistent with similar sentences.

Lohan claims the cocaine found in her pocket is not hers.

Well, she was still over the limit for booze - though I suggest she was not wasted with those scores. Interestingly, a blood test or hair test should prove the veracity of the claim that she did not do coke (which is not exactly what she said - but it is the point)

wow. if that isn't the most piss-poor excuse ever -- and a sure sign she's an addict (if anyone still has some doubts). i suppose the last time she had cocaine on her, it wasn't hers either.
though i'm a major advocate in that she needs some jail time, i think she needs rehab first.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19952153/
Rehab apparently hasn’t worked for Lindsay Lohan, who re-entered a treatment center after being charged with drunken driving Tuesday for the second time in three months.
So is it time to lock up the Hollywood starlet?
It is — at least that's consensus of former judge and prosecutor Jeanine Pirro and psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow, who joined Harvey Levin of celebrity Web site TMZ.com on TODAY Wednesday to discuss Lohan’s latest scrape with the law in Los Angeles.
“She should be off the street,” Ablow told TODAY co-host Matt Lauer. “She should be in a locked psychiatric unit as someone unable to care for herself and a danger to others.”
Pirro, who has a reputation for being a no-nonsense law enforcer, agreed.
“She needs to be in custody where she gets real treatment and she’s not going to be a danger to society, because clearly that’s what she is,” said Pirro.
“Less than two months ago, she was arrested for DUI,” Pirro continued. “They found a white, powdery substance which turned out to be cocaine. She hasn’t been charged with that yet. Her license was suspended. She shouldn’t have been behind the wheel of the car. She’s so far beyond the legal limit, it’s not funny with the alcohol. She’s a train wreck.”

Lohan claims the cocaine found in her pocket is not hers.
“I am innocent ... did not do drugs they’re not mine. I was almost hit by my assistant Tarin’s mom I appreciate everyone giving me my privacy,” Lohan wrote in an e-mail to “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush, the show reported on its Web site Tuesday night.

Was I the only one who had a hard time reading that email? Like, I literally had to read it 4 or 5 times to understand what she was saying.

Punctuation isn't a big priority, it seems.

she should just man-up and say they were hers. her reputation is already shot, so what the hell does she care? having them on her is good enough to get the charge, so piss on excuses.

She sounds like a fuc**ng horses's ass saying the coke isn't her's. There are videos all over the internet of her snorting a white substance off that toilet...lets be serious now! She had blow in her car when she ran it off the road in May. Blow in her pocket when she was arrested but she is trying to claim it is not her's?? I understand trying to salvage what is left of her reputation but many would have more respect for her if she just owned up to having problems. Many of us understand addiction and her denial scares me. :(

no. i had to as well. and perhaps the most idiotic thing for her to be doing is sending a message to billy bush -- that won't sit well with the judge, i'm sure.

I'm seriously considering typing the phrase, "Lohan Arrested...AGAIN!" and then copying it to my clipboard. That way it will be available whenever needed. Saves time.
By the way, apparently Britney Spears has some sort of trouble again, too. Probably more of a lawsuit thing. Not sure of the details; I guess she ruined some sort of designer dress or something.

Times were different then- the papparazzi is insanely invasive now. If Stevie were young and doing her thing in 2007, she'd be plastered all over the place too.
You made an excellent point there...unfortunately! The press would have eaten them up.

Perhaps she's trying "method acting" for her role as Stevie.

How do we know it was actually Lindsay and not really her doppelganger?

Omg I was going to post this same thing- except I probably wouldn't have been able to remember the word "doppelganger" so it wouldn't have been as funny.

Here it is:
NEW YORK - Britney Spears sat back and watched as her Yorkshire terrier puppy pooped on a $6,700 designer gown at a photo shoot for OK! magazine.
“I wasn’t in the room but I was there to hear the upset shrieks of the stylist,” editor-in-chief Sarah Ivens told The Associated Press in a phone interview Wednesday. “Her assistant dealt with it in the end, after being asked to take care of it. They had to be asked to clear it up.”
Spears also wiped chicken grease on a designer dress, treating it like “a napkin,” took frequent trips to the bathroom — leaving the door open — and complained that the high-end clothing put together for the July 19 fashion shoot weren’t sexy, short or tight enough, the magazine said.

So, the white powder on the toilet was a "set up. The coke in the glove box of her car when she hit the tree was planted. The pants she was wearing when booked were someone else's. Can everyone say denial? She is so far from rock bottom it is scary. I don't see rehab doing her a bit of good at this point...she doesn't even admit to having a problem. The chick needs a wake up call and that means jail.

Kelly, it's not a conspiracy. LL is much worse off than Stevie Nicks ever was. Stevie was a big time drug abuser, but not in public (although there were rumors). There were no DUI's and arrests. Stevie went to rehab and came out clean.
LL is using rehab as a country club. Leaving for extended periods for workouts, etc...even going to bars
I agree with you..serious jail time is required, maybe prison. It shocked Paris Hilton and I think she is a changed person.

In Stevie's own words, "nobody ever told us it was bad."

Yeah, Lohan's reputation is much worse off but I think Stevie was just as out of control, maybe moreso.
