Turning Stone (Verona) Pics

I had an 8th row seat. Security was great. They let alot of us stand by the stage and wait to go to the stage for Edge in front of all the comped duds! :thumbsup: Even half way through the song there was plenty of room at the stage.

I knew the first 5 rows were ALL comped. Not only did they all sit for the slower songs, but 97% also sat for Sorcerer and I Need to Know! :eek:

This was the first time I've touched Stevie's hand since Behind The Mask... :)

Set was the same. No Fall From Grace. Vanessa Carlton did not open. Show started at 8:15 and ended at 10pm.

If you get to the stage, stand in front of Lori. She is a riot. We had major eye contact and were singing Edge to each other. It was so great!!! :nod:

I haven't seen Stevie in ten years since the Dance tour and boy what a wonderful night it was last night at the Turning Stone Casino! Yes no opener~ very surprised about that(never been to a show w/ no opener)~ she came right out and was so beautiful! She looked happy and sounded great~ truly in great form ~surprisingly better at 59 than in other years I've seen her! We had 7th row dead center~ She literally was directly in front of us~ great seats and I stood for most of the songs~ I felt like I had direct contact with her for a lot of the songs~ and felt like she was singing them right to us as we stood dancing away the first half of the show~ She looked so happy to see us crazy ones who were really into it! But yes there were some old fogies who just wanted to sit and seemed a little annoyed at those of us who were enjoying ourselves! I'm surprised she didn't sing anything extra considering there was no opener and she came out at 8:15, and she didn't sing Fall from Grace!!! Enchanted was 2nd and Dreams was like 5th or 6th~
All her outfits were stunning~ She looked a lot thinner than other years I've seen her~ Her boots were on and she didn't seem to be bothered by her knee at all~ she did a nice Stand back kick~( as we all know cause she seems to be so rehearsed and do the same thing at each show nowadays)! She did this cool thing with Waddy during the end of GDW( not just the wings w/ Waddy but some other great illusionary effect w/ her shawl)!!! Landslide was a killer~ she was teary eyed as lots sang along~ wiping her eyes at the end.
I was taking pics in front of security all night~ they said nothing though cameras were supposed to be restricted! They didn't even check when we went in!
Security tried to tell us at the drum intro to Edge that we couldn't go up and stay~ to just hand her "our presentation then leave"~ I was like whatever~ when Waddy started we just walked right past the guard without eye contact and went~ and stayed! Lots went up for Edge but not as many as in other years I've seen her~ it was nice cause there was no pushing, which was good because my 9 year old came up w/ me to hand her flowers! Stevie was so cute to come up and look at my daughter as if to say "AW ~How sweet" She made this cute gesture towards her~ my daughter and I got to shake her hand and made eye contact with Lori as well who waved to us at one point during EO17.This made Rylynn's evening!
In '94 I gave Stevie's tour manager a shawl before the show and she wore it~ it was one of my best Stevie experiences ever~ Last night I attempted the same thing but she didn't wear it ~ oh well~ I'm sure she got it
and at least we got to hand her the flowers and tell her we loved her during Edge!
What an awesome night! Stevie was beautiful and amazing~ hopefully soon I'll get some pictures posted!
I'm jealous of those who have yet to see her~ Have fun~ I know you will. Sorry its over~

You mean Lori's flower? That flower was just on her mic~ it appears to be in Lori's hand in the pic but it was just the one on her mic~ all the girls had one~

Hey, you! Doing good! What a great show last night. It was only half the distance of Mansfield, so I opted for it. I was thinking of you guys, too that night. I saw your pics. They are awesome! :D

Turning Stone is gonna be the hardest place to get tix, but the security is very lax.... so far. ;)

I was the guy standing right next to you waiting to go to the stage. I heard the guy say that to you and I was like wtf? Presentation? LOL :rolleyes: Then the white shirt security dude came by and said "What the hell is everyone standing around here for? Go back to your seats!" LOL! I didn't even turn around to look at him. I just got closer to our to security buds. :thumbsup:

A security guard came to us before the show started and said someone complained he was smoking I guess out in the area where you get the tour stuff~ I'm not sure he knew where you could smoke or not smoke in that place~ I think the Casino is the only area~ after that I think he found the "outside" area!!!LOL

I was there Tuesday at Verona and agree Stevie was on fire. Stevie talked way more then I had ever seen in the past, and she even introduced Dreams, that song never has an intro to it. The shock of the night for me was Rhiannon. I had seen many clips of that song from this tour, and felt it was seeing all time lows, she really was dead for that song on most clips from this tour. But can any of you who were there back me up that she tore the ending of Rhiannon up at Verona?!! I can't say it was THE best song of the night since it was in the same set as Gold DUst Woman, How Still My Love and Edge of 17 but it was a real highlight of the night and I was not expecting it to be.

Still I would say How Still My Love was the best song of the night. It was just vocally incredible, and she really gets into it. Right on it's heels is Gold Dust Woman which was way better then it was in Cleveland 05. She really screams the "NO THEY DON"T CRYYYY OUUUT" and "YOU BETTER SEELLLL IIIITT" or something similar to that :laugh: I really liked the extremely long extended ending with Stevie's odd but entertaining dip things in front of Wadddy as the girls take over the "Baby Baby Babys." The band especially Waddy really gives the music to GDW a harder edge these days. I like it.

Edge was amazing in 05 and of course was no different last night. Of course last time the "Somewhere in the middle of the night..." thing was brand new to me so I was like WOW, this time I expected it. But the best part of the song was the VERY last part where she goes I Know What it sounds like. She tore it up so much, I was in awe, I hope someone got a video clip of that. Oh another thing no one mentioned was when Stevie does her little interaction with the girls and she gets to Sharon, she holds up a little white stuffed animal and shoves it in Stevie's face as if to say "Heh I got one tonight too" I thought that was funnyl.

Sorcerer was incredible, I especially loved the very end where she set a new record of use of the word "Yeah." I believe she might actually hold the old record too:laugh: Did Stevie mention her math skills in the intro to Sorcerer at any other shows or was it a rare spontainious part of the intro. Rock and Roll had about 5 kicks in it. Suprising Dreams had a few kicks in it too. Landslide has never been a favorite live song of mine, but the screen behind her while she was singing it, made it another highlight, you really can't underestimate the power that screen can have when used properly.

The only song I didn't enjoy was Beauty and the Beast, it just does nothing for me. Even Enchanted had some new things thrown in, that made it enjoyable foir me, but I still want it dropped badly. Stevie;s closing speach is in a way another highlight, becasue it is quite possibly the most screwed up thing she's ever said :laugh: It makes zero sense, but she so funny saying it. She says if we;re not careful we'll be listenign to the same classic rock in 20 years, and who knows if we're not careful I may be playing the same set 2 years in a row... oh **** I am... F*ck it... forget what I just said Screw the music, go buy another copy of Rumours, thanks for coming GOOD NIGHT.

Not really all of it but she did say~ " Our music is in a very sad state~ so go out and by records, go to concerts, etc ,otherwise you'll be listening to the same classic rock 20 years from now"~
I think we were all thinking~ Well you're from the classic rock age so why wouldn't you want us to support that and those records~ she does say backwards stuff sometimes~ she just plain funny~ I was trying to figure that comment out for like an hour after the show~ couldn' t ever make sense of it!
