Introduce yourselves, please. Some of us have a hard time taking in 500 new screen names at once.
In any case, welcome to The Ledge. Please put any use of "~" and blinking graphics and magenta Comic Sans you may have on the backburner, follow the concept of "'I' before 'E' except after 'C'," and enjoy your stay!
Here's a welcoming gift:

They are all part of the 6/26-46. The date and number of Bannings from 7w so far. Plus the others who quietly slipped away from the carnage. :wavey:
Hello, and thanks for the fruit!
My name is Barbara, and I joined up here in 2005, but really didn't post too much. Did post a lot on the 7 Wonders board. We are mostly all now banned, LOL. So you are stuck with us, if you will have us.
I run an online store called the Enchanted Mirror, and make custom Stevie style shawls, capes, hats, legwamers, and also offer the crescent moon and pyramid necklaces, and lots more. Oh, I also do tribute shows, called Stevie Nicks Illusions, and my tribute band is called Timeless. Love Stevie since I was 14, I am now 36, live in KY.
Have five kitties, and they pretty much rule the house, LOL...
Thank you for the welcome!

I thought all these people hated the Ledge
I thought it was a big ole mean, scary place and 7W was friendlier and full of sunshine and involved lots of skipping and giggling?
Or is this just what The Administration wanted you to believe?

LEDGE BAD. LEDGE VURY BAD.
I really think that the most pathetic thing of all is that the 7w kiddies sat around and smiled and nodded while The Wizard got all dictator on everyone's asses, and are just NOW doing something about it. Wasn't it obvious enough early on? I DON'T GET IT :(
Oh, and Danny - I was wondering where my flogger was! I can't have a hookup without forgetting SOMETHING, can I? Silly 'ol me.

Here's a welcoming gift:
http://www.redribbongifts.co.uk/images/fruit_basket.jpg
Why, thank you. I just got home from a long morning of stacking 600 bales of hay in a loft. Now that I'm refreshed after a shower, I've signed on with intend of starting an introductory thread for us newbies (oh, god, I'm a newbie again?). Thanks for starting it for me! :P
Anywho, my name is Brooke. I signed up for the Ledge back in '05, right before it went down, and got an invite to 7W's. I was a mod there, but I guess I'm not now! Ha!
The first things peopel learn about me when the meet me :
1) I love horses. I'm a horseaholic, if you would, and could talk about them nonstop.
2) I have 5 kitties, who are equivilent to my children. :D
3) I'm a huge Stevie/FM fan - but you've probably figured that out already.
4) I talk way too much and can be a little goofy.
Anyway, it's nice to be here, I'm looking forward to putting drama and egos behind me, and meeting a whole new slew of Stevie/FM fans!

I never hated the Ledge. I just didn't get a chance to come here before, wound up on 7W's, and - well, well, the rest is history. I don't know that anyone hated the Ledge. I know there are many peopel who originally came here, but ended up on 7W while the Ledge was down, and I guess that's where we stayed.

Hey Barbara~ I'm glad to see you here! :xoxo:
I, for one, was WRONG.
I thought 7W WAS a nice, friendly place, and
people were nicer there than over here.
BUT, except for the others who are banned (that I adore) and
a very few left on that board, I bow my head and say,
I am sorry. I was wrong. I am happy to be here,
and I hope everyone will forgive me, and give me a chance
to start over :)

The same goes for me. I started on BN, migrated over to The Ledge because the topics and conversation were just more interesting...and then I joined seven Wonders while The Ledge was down, and well...stayed there for the same reason.
I have a friend from the 7W board who is registered but cannot sign on (another displaced 7W member)...
and they get this error message:

My experience on the Internet is that tightly controlled forums have the appearance of everyone being all nice but it's just forced niceness. I couldn't stand SW because every Stevie concert review started with something like "don't anyone post anything negative about the setlist in MY review thread", so the entire thread was nothing but "I agree" and "thank u". Everyone acting all nice because they felt like they had to. I would have posted more if I felt like I could actually say what was on my mind.
Do people do that more here,
post their real thoughts and stuff?
That is nice to know.

Oh yeah they do. Everyone here is entitled to their opinion, and there may be arguments over it, but everyone generally gets over it and agrees to disagree. I've been here a long time, and I've seen the same arguments over the same thing, time and time again.

Hey Barbara. Pleasure you have you here :wavey:. This is what I love about The Ledge. Nobody will tell you that your opinion is wrong - apart from maybe me  but everyone knows to ignore me and tell me to shut up when I start ranting. Even though the board is kinda censored - the people behind it (i'm not sure who you are. Sorry) have honored the Freedom Of Speech act and Human Rights act. Clearly, that is not the case on the board which we shall not use it's name. I wonder if I type it in, The Ledge will automatically asterix it; like a swear word
Hi Wild Heart!

First off I want to thank a lot of you for your warm welcomes. I am truly glad to be here, and it's sad that it couldn't be under better circumstances. I look forward to talking more to some of you and if you wanna talk to me off the board you can PM me (I forgot what those were after being at 7w  ) I am a DIEHARD Christine fan. Much love to you guys. :xoxo:
That being said Kelly and irishgirl, I am happy to be here. I'm not sure how they are different forums, except there seem sto be a lot of not-so-friendly or welcoming people here, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it all the same.
Look forward to seeing you around. :]

I don't know the Ledge. Okay? 7W is all I have to compare it to and I'm trying NOT to and it's rude comments like this that make me say there are less welcoming people. with 3000+ members, i can't really say we're used to rolling out the red carpet. new people who want a welcome typically start a thread on their own to introduce themselves.. so it really is saying something (in ledgie speak) that you guys were recognized with a welcome thread.
people here are generally nice, but not sugary and fake. that may take some getting used to.

I do love Jimmy's Stevie pic (and I don't like Stallone's plastic surgery enchanced face or old weightlifters body) but I just find those massive sigs makes it a drag to read through a thread, especially if, for example, Mary has posted several times on a page. It's like, one line, massive Rocky pic, a couple of lines, massive Rocky pic, a few words, massive Rocky pic. I just want to read what people say not keep scrolling through the same picture over and over again.
That said, I've turned off the sig pics in my profile now since I'm dreading the inevitable influx of sparkly banners. :distress:

Spot on. I don't care about the Rocky pic but the size of it is really annoying.
Eh, it's a little of both. I don't mind Jimmy's Stevie pic, and it's about the same size.
That bare chest is just... sooo 1976. :distress:
Hello all you Mary bashers. I couldnt find a smaller pic. so sue me. Besides I change my pics all the time. See?
does anyone besides me catch the obvious hypocrisy here? Others can post large pics, they can even post circa 1976 pics, they can even post large circa 1976 pics! but let ME do it and OMG, Vanessa has a C.O.W. Vanessa, DEAR, you really should avail yourself of the ignore feature. Otherwise, in light of the fact that I JUST WONT GO AWAY (no matter HOW much you snipe at me) you'll suffer some sort of seizure or something. Take two aspirin and lie down.
ps: a boxer has to take his shirt off. sheesh.
Now that one I think you should make even smaller.
sigh....some people....just no pleasing etc etc.....
I was just kidding, it's a much better size.
I love you guys.
Thank you for my morning laugh.

The thing about it is, he was shot up full of so much human growth hormone (like a hyper active steroid) - it was kind of sickening. I've seen Children of Men. It was disturbing at times, but mostly because it made you think what this world might look like in 50 or 60 years, it can go any which way, and with the way it's going now, it won't be pretty. Also, it was interesting to see how human beings behave once they realize they have nothing to live for anymore. Choreography in that movie was great also. ;)

I cried in the theatre when the fighting stopped and the baby was carried out of the seige - then the rage started again. Very jarring scene to me. Also, Juliane Moore was brilliant, but somewhat wasted in it. Though, her willingness to take that ensemble roll is IMO what makes her great.

Second of all, you linked pictures from your photobucket account, the name of which came right up. And third of all, I hadn't even thought about checking your posts there, but thanks for the tip! Now I sure as hell will.

wait your turn.
He's not skinny and he's not 20 either and most important he's not that hideous thing in someone else's sig.
At least Sly doesnt look like Pee Wee Herman! *laffing my butt off at what Ryan finds attractive!* There's no such thing as too much muscle! Not crazy about steroids, tho..........
and as for the sniping about so-called plastic surgery and whatnot, Sly said his directors made him gain weight specifically for the role and he had to beg them to let him back in the gym because he was worried about being able to take it off and make the boxing scenes look good...also, Jason, yes he did tear a pec during a weight lifting contest w/his trainer (a former mr. universe) and had to have it repaired.

I better be a member of the wedding party. More importantly, I want to plan the bachelor party beforehand. That'd be a load of Ledgie fun.
